COUNTDOWN TWELVE

CHAPTER THIRTY

"Now that that has been resolved, I believe we can move to the next thing," said Alpha Ralph as he looked into the eyes of all the Alphas in the room, one after the other.

All the Alphas were seated, even Alpha Simon who was shaky and seemed like he could fall apart at any time.

'Why kill a wicked enemy outrightly when you can actually feed him, make him do your dirty jobs before finally ending his useless life' thought Ralph.

Ralph wanted to also know if the Alphas would still want to show off their choice female wolves to him so he could pick from. The only reason why he could not cast their opinion on that to the sea was because it is stated in The Book of Alphas that if a Supreme Alpha does not have a mate within a specified period of time, it is advisable for the Alphas under him to search for a mate for him, so that balance would be restored in the mental state of the Supreme Alpha.

"I think the Alphas would agree with me that there is plenty of time to search for a mate for the Alpha. It must not necessarily be today, right Alphas?" asked Supreme Beta Stephan as he looked around and the Alphas nodded their heads immediately, their naturally haughty natures were shook.

Ralph stood up and began to head towards the door but before he could reach, he looked towards Alpha Simon's side and said, "send your Beta over to me tomorrow" and with that he was out.

Alejandro sat in the driver's seat, Beta Stephan in the shot gun seat, while Alpha Ralph sat at the back seat and with that, they were headed to the Red Moon Pack.

Ralph could still feel his beast trying to crawl out, his beast wanted the beheading of Alpha Simeon immediately, it needed to see its mate, it would calm down.

Rain started falling before they reached half of their journey and it poured like the heavens were angry but they still managed to reach the Pack. Alejandro carried an umbrella above Ralph's head as they walked out of the car but before they could reach the building, the door to the grand ballroom opened and Karen ran out. She ran to Ralph and hugged him.

"Pequeño, what are you doing?" asked Ralph.

"I…I missed you and I got worried that you might not come back when the rain started pouring and that you might spend the night outside..."

Alejandro had a hard time using the umbrella over the two love birds but he had no choice.

"You mean spend the night with another woman?" teased Ralph and Karen looked at their feet.

Ralph tilted her head up before looking into her eyes, "that's never going to happen Karen. Now let's get you inside, your body isn't suitable for this weather".

As he took her hand to take them in, Karen held his tugged at his hand.

"You want something?" he asked and he increased his voice as the rain began to fall heavier..

"Yes" shouted Karen, so he could hear her.

"What is that?" shouted Ralph as he pulled his coat to cover her head.

"I want you to kiss me under this rain. It will be our third date." announced Karen.

"Really?"

"Yes, that is my next wish for our next date, for you to kiss me under the rain. Alejandro, you can go in, don't worry about us, we would soon come right in" said Karen and Alejandro looked at Ralph for Ralph's permission as he still saw her suggestion as unsafe but Ralph nodded his head at him.

"Alright little one, let's do this" said Ralph as he lifted her from the wet floor and wrapped her around his waist before running off to the centre of the compound. Karen laughed as he ran to the middle of the compound and as the rain plastered their hairs on their faces.

As he got to the middle of the compound, she wrapped her arms securely on his neck before they kissed. It was a slow and sensual kiss and it did not feel like they were being disturbed by the patters of the rain. Karen was feeling cold externally from the rain but the kiss was warming her up as Ralph was expertly exploring every inch, side and area of her mouth. He took her tongue in his and sucked on it before she also did same and Ralph could not even remember that earlier that day, there was a time he was so angry he felt he could burst.

When they finally got back their lips, they laughed at each other and Ralph turned to take them back into the mansion but behold, it seemed like everyone was peeping through their windows and had just watched their public display of affection. Karen saw that Ralph was not moving and noticed that he was staring at the mansion, so she turned and by every window that faced the front of the mansion, heads were seen staring at them with smiles on their lips.

Nanny Freya, Beta Stephan, Dr Kate, Dexter, Taurus, Alejandro, some elderly maids and guards and even little Eva except that Nanny Freya had a hand over the eyes of the little girl.

"Bravo!" said Nanny Freya as she opened her window slightly. Beta Stephan repeated after her and began to clap, so did every one that just watched their kiss scene. Karen was so embarrassed that she buried her face in Ralph's chest and when Ralph saw the shyness of his mate, he ran inside the mansion with her.

Ralph took Karen directly to his bathroom.

He left the bathroom for her to have her shower and he secretly hoped she would call him back but she didn't.

'Difficult woman' thought Ralph with a smile.

When Karen came out of the bathroom, Ralph went in and had a light shower. When he came out, he saw Karen dressed in white joggers and a black pair of socks.

"Are you going anywhere?" asked Ralph.

"No, I just want to ask what happened during the meeting today. Did you get to…like choose a fair maiden from the bevy you were provided?"

"What do you think?" asked Ralph as he walked towards Karen.

"I don't know, I want you to tell me" said Karen

"Alright, I'll be back" said Ralph as he turned around and at that moment his towel slipped.

"Damn!" exclaimed Karen as she came into view with Ralph's ass.
