[Gareth's POV]

It's been four weeks. People were still talking about the pool incident. No matter how they hid it, I knew what they were saying: The newly young Alpha of Canopus misjudged his wife… dethroned his Luna… discriminated her origins… accused her of a heinous crime. – and she is innocent.

There were other rumors too:

The young alpha of Canopus had an affair with his brother's wife.

He likely conspired with his mistress to set up his brother's death.

Gwyneth is probably dead too and he killed her.

False information had spread faster than news.

A number of investors had withdrawn their assets already. My father wasn't pleased. He refused to talk to me after the incident – wouldn't even go as far as acknowledge my presence in the same room when we happen to meet there. He has in fact already taken back a number of business under his wings, removing me as CEO. I let him do his thing.
