Chapter 3: The Madman of The Pack Assembly

Melissa slammed the door forcefully behind her, before walking away, she barely made it to her room, when one of her men called out to her attention.

"Alpha, the Packs assembly are going to converge tonight, the death of the Dante family has left a void in the assembly that many couldn't wait to pounce on, especially, the Black Wolves pack," he said, "well done, Oliver, gather our men, we will leave immediately, no one can take anything that belongs to me, inform David, I want to see him immediately" Melissa instructed.

Oliver bowed "I will do that right away" he replied before leaving in search of David.

On reaching David's door, he started hearing loud moans "will you disobey and talk to your daddy that way?" a sound of a whip followed.

"aww! no, I will always obey and worship, daddy, please fuck me hard, daddy"

Oliver's lips curved upward and his eyes became brighter, he turned around swiftly and went and reported the matter to Melissa "since he is busy having sex, we will leave without him, make sure everyone else is ready, we will leave at dusk" she said and entered her room.

She made up her mind to visit Romeo who have been locked away in the dungeon, she saw him sitting dejectedly in a corner later.

"do you wish to continue or do you want to be replaced by your grandfather?" Melissa asked coldly, her murderous aura intensified.

Romeo who was sitting in a corner of the cell raised his head and looked at her "this is my decision, and I have made it, I should be able to bear the consequences of my actions"

Melissa was silent momentarily before she spoke "very well then, hope you don't regret blowing this chance away".

She turned around and left immediately, she left the pack house with her pack members who were awaiting her.

After David was done having sex with Angela, he was told of Melissa's departure, the news darkened his face.

he grabbed the servant who have reported the matter with a maniac facial expression "why did you let her go? why did any of you allow her to leave the pack house without her first informing me, I thought you all were my men, huh?" he growled at the servant in anger.

The scared servant's eyes were covered in tears, she was afraid that David might kill her "now get lost!" David tossed her aside in frustration.

And combed his head with his palm in frustration, he didn't understand why things are no longer favouring him anymore unlike before.

"you shouldn't have taken your anger out on the innocent servant, do you see that Melissa no longer put you in her eyes, you have lost your standing in the Pack, Lord David, you are now just a mere servant." Angela taunted, David glanced at her and looked away, "I know who will pay for all these".

David left directly to the underground dungeon, to see Romeo chained in a cage, "wake up kid!" he ordered.

Romeo opened his sleepy eyes, and he yawned hungrily, he have not been served anything, even after he was brought into the dungeon.

"what do you want?" Romeo reposted, he wasn't expecting anyone else after Melissa left.

David who was fuming sneered "you are in chains, but still have the guts to ask me what I want, don't you think I should be the one to offer you something than the other way round?"

Romeo looked at him fearlessly, he didn't know why he wasn't afraid of the fuming David, he have been brought up to be a courageous man, "you have nothing to offer me, you are just a lackey of a young lady" Romeo fired back.

David's face darkened, and he laughed drily "very well, then, I will show you the difference between a free man, and someone locked in a cage"

He clapped his hands, and ten different men whose face was hidden in hoods came out of the dark, Romeo was shocked, he wasn't aware of their presence.

"bring him out, and torture him" David ordered.

"David, Alpha Melissa, haven't given such an order, we can't do it, this is her prisoner" one of the men reminded him.

David's face became uglier "then, I will do it myself" he yelled at them with his bloodshot eyes.

He moved swiftly and clamped the entrance of the cage with his bare hands, he pulled it off, and tossed it away, he grabbed the torturing whip from one of the prison guards and darted inside the cage.

He looked down at Romeo who was chained to the cage "do you now realise the difference between us? or, I should explain it to you?" David snickered.

Romeo looked at him fearlessly and snorted coldly "do you think you are better because you could hold a whip, we are both in a cage, ain't we?"

David's eyes changed into deep blue, he stretched the whip in his hand and started beating him mercilessly with it.

Melissa wasn't aware that Romeo was been tortured, she arrived at the Pack assembly, and by the side, she saw a man sitting in a corner, with a tattered robe, he looked very pitiful, and her eyes teared up. she has been in such a condition before after the destruction of her parents and the Pack she belonged to by the Dantes.

"Alpha, ain't we going in anymore?" Oliver asked, Melissa smiled wryly "excuse me", she left her entourage and went over to the beggar, she squatted before him and dropped some money on his plate.

She stood on her feet, but suddenly, she felt her leg grasped, she looked down and saw that the beggar was staring at her, "you have a kind heart, don't sacrifice it, or you will never forgive yourself, the pains you feel now, is a chance for everlasting happiness"

Melissa's face changed drastically, the beggar let go of her legs, and started playing with the money she gave him "don't listen to him, don't you know the madman of the pack assembly?"
