"Can I ask you something?" Theo asked, looking straight ahead and watching the road being passed.

"Sure," Grace nodded. "You can ask whatever you want. And I'll answer it," she said, looking at the man sitting next to her.

"If I may ask, what is your reason for wanting to go home on foot?" Theo asked, turning to Grace. "Even though you know, the weather is so hot," he said, averting his eyes.

Grace smiled. "I'm used to going home without using any vehicle. Almost every day I will go home on foot. Even though Kaylee often forces me to go home with her" she explained, turning her gaze forward and making the man glance at her. "And I do it because for me it is one of the fun things. Because I can enjoy my trip in a relaxed manner. After all, walking is healthy for the body"

"That's true and I agree with you" replied Theo nodding his head. "Then how about going to school? Are you going to walk too?" he asked, turning to Grace.

"Yeah, sometimes" Grace nodded. "But often Kaylee comes to pick me up and we go to school together. And if I refuse she gets mad at me."

Theo just chuckled, staring straight ahead without saying anything.

"By the way when can we draw together?" Grace asked, looking at Theo from the side.

"I don't think I can come up with an answer right now" Theo replied, turning to Grace. "Because I have something to do"

Grace nodded. "It's okay, I won't insist. And you better finish it first. Because it must be more important"

Theo smiled. "Thank you, you are such a nice and understanding girl," he said, turning to Grace.

"You're welcome," Grace replied, nodding her head with a smile etched on her face.

"Then is your house still far away?" Theo asked, turning his head towards the girl.

"No." Grace shook her head. "It's over there"

"The one that's painted white?" Theo turned his head and raised an eyebrow.

"Right," said Grace, nodding her head.

Theo just nodded. Then he pulled up the car in front of the house.

Grace lowered her head and removed the seat belt from her body.

As for Theo, he just stayed silent and watched the house on his left.

"Theo?" Grace said, turning to look at the man and making him turn.

"Yes?" Theo raised an eyebrow.

"I wanted to thank you for driving me home," Grace said, looking at Theo with a smile etched on her face.

"You're welcome" Theo nodded and smiled. "I'm glad I could do it for you. And get you home safely"

Grace smiled. "Once again thank you. See you tomorrow"

Theo just nodded, looking at the girl with a smile that didn't fade from his face.

As for Grace, she just smiled and looked at the man once more. Then she opened the car door and immediately stepped out.

"Be careful on the road, Theo" Grace said, looking at the man in the car and smiling.

"Sure. See you tomorrow" Theo smiled. Then he turned to look ahead and drove the car.

Grace was silent, lowered her head, and read a book she was holding. Now and then she turns to the next page.

Ding dong!

She immediately lifted her head when she heard the voice which indicated that someone was coming.

"Who's that? Is it Kaylee?" she said and asked herself.

Ding dong!

The sound came again, snapping her out of her daydream. She sighed, got up from her position, and placed the book on the table. Then she walked over to open the door.

Arriving near the door she immediately stopped, reached out, and opened it. But her forehead is wrinkled when she saw a man standing in front of her.

"Cam?"

"Hi, Grace," the man said, looking at Grace with a smile etched on his face. He is Cameron Lawson, Grace's ex-boyfriend. "Am I interrupting your time?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.

"No." Grace shook her head. "If I may ask, why did you come here?"

"I just wanted to chat with you. But if you're busy then it's okay" Cam replied.

Grace shook her head. "I'm not busy," she said. Then she shifted and made way for the man. "Please come in"

"Thank you" Cam smiled. Then he walked and walked into the house.

As for Grace, she just nodded and immediately closed the door.

"By the way what are you doing?" Cam asked, turning around and looking at Grace.

"Just reading," Grace replied, walking over to her ex-boyfriend.

"Reading novels?" Cam raised an eyebrow.

"No." Grace shook her head. "But reading the history book I just bought," she said. Then she stopped. "Please, sit"

"Thank you" Cam nodded. Then he stopped and sat down on the sofa.

"You're welcome," said Grace, nodding her head. "What do you want to drink?"

"Whatever, it's up to you" Cam smiled and looked at Grace who was standing nearby.

Grace just nodded. Then she turned and walked towards the kitchen.

Moments later, Grace returned with two cans of drinks. Then she stopped and placed the drink on the table.

"Thank you," Cam said with a smile etched on his face.

"You're welcome," said Grace, nodding her head. Then she sat down next to the man.

"By the way did you go home on foot?" Cam asked, turning to Grace.

"No." Grace shook her head. "I went home with Theo. Because he offered me to go home with him"

Cam nodded. "So that's why Kaylee came home alone," he said, looking away.

"Before Kaylee offered me to go home with her, but I refused. Because I wanted to go home on foot. But the new student came and asked me to go home with him" explained Grace, turning to look ahead.

"Why don't you refuse?" Cam turned his head, causing the girl to turn to him and frown. "Sorry, I didn't mean to ask that," he said, averting his eyes.

"It's okay," Grace said, nodding her head. "At first I intended to refuse, but I was afraid that he would keep asking me to go home with him. So I had to accept his offer."
