"We have arrived, Mr Wodansbane. Please, take your time. I shall be waiting outside.", the centaur exited the room. Lucas, meanwhile, was facing a locker. It was a big one, compared to the other lockers, but it surprisingly did not have any keyholes to open the locker. Instead, it had just one tiny hole, and nothing else.
Lucas clamped his fist and out came a claw that was shaped exactly like the hole on the locker. He put the claw in, and it just slid right in. As the claw went inside, gears started turning. Finally, Lucas' fist hit the locker. Then, he turned his fist. The locker's door just popped right up.
Slid. The claw went right back into Lucas' fist. He opened the door. Inside, there was not really much. There were a few IDs, some cash, and a key.
"That's all? You were alive for so long and this is all that you saved up?", Fenrir asked.
"This is just a foolproof. All of my money is sitting in a private vault in the Caymans. Why would I have my money here? I don't trust by of these people enough.", Lucas shrugged. Then, he took the final thing in the locker, a wallet. Inside were quite a few credit cards, and to the left was a photo. It was a woman, and she looked stunning.
"Still lingering on past feelings. You have to move on. You have me so bored here!", Fenrir snorted.
Lucas sighed as he closed the wallet. He put some of the cash in the wallet, and the rest back in the locker. He closed the door and turned around to leave.
"What of the key? What is that for?", Fenrir asked.
"That? It is, well, a spare. For the house. Do you really think that I am going to stay in Michael's place forever? He might have saved decently, but I need the proper equipment. Who knows what Peter did to me through the years I have been with him? I need to make sure that I am fine, and not in danger as of immediately.", Lucas said as he walked out.
He nodded at the centaur and he walked straight out of the bank. He looked at the rest of the street. He walked to a mall and to a phone shop.
"Just give me your latest. And a sim card.", Lucas told the sales rep as he took out his credit card. He swiped it and he took the phone. Opening it immediately, he popped the sim right in.
Ding! The phone opened. He started dialling a number, but it just didn't go through.
"Why isn't the sim working?", Lucas asked the rep behind the counter.
"You have to wait for a few minutes. You will get service after maybe ten minutes?", he replied, shuddering at Lucas' angry face.
Lucas waved his hand and left the shop.
"I am impressed. The level of innovation that humans have is just fascinating. Comparable to the gods, even. No, I think this is much greater. I wonder though, how far you humans can go.", Fenrir said, amused.
"Don't take us so lightly. Soon enough, humans can have the technology to kill even supernatural creatures. They already do, but they are all way too uncontrollable. I am sure that the weapons that the government has can even threaten the gods.", Lucas replied.
"Do you really think the gods would allow anything that can threaten their existence to still stay in the hands of humans, of all people?", Fenrir scoffed.
"Who knows? Well then, I am tired. Just a few more rounds and I am going back. I need my sleep.", Lucas yawned.
"Fine, forget it. I can always take a look later. Don't want my host to die on me. Odin will take me back to that dark prison again. Can't afford that.", Fenrir chuckled.
Lucas nodded as he started walking back to the warehouse. After quite a lot of walking, he got back to the warehouse. Seeing that the guard was still sleeping, he jumped. Yes, he jumped over a fifteen-foot wall in one go. Once on the other side, he strolled back into the warehouse. Even to this late hour, there was still a lot of chatter, and a lot of people were at work.
He went in and came face to face with Michael. "You are back already? What did you even do?", Michael asked.
"Well, I got my Ids and some cash. That's all. Now, get me a bed. I need to sleep now!.", Lucas yawned again.
