Liam began his story which he got after investigating everything that happened at that time.
The Philosopher's Stone was made by combining the four basic powers and arts, namely magic, alchemy, holy power, and Aura.
However, at that time, magic and alchemy had begun to separate because several governments had started to policy to stop the creation of sorcery. And technically, the creation of the Philosopher's stone itself also had something to do with sorcery.
