The Alpha's Blind Fate

[Warning: Contains Mature Content] "Beware of the tongue of a wicked woman. For it may tell a lie that would slay the world." Eighteen-Year-old rejected, wolfless and blind Zina is summoned to the capital to tell a vision for the ruthless and feared Alpha King of the North notoriously known as ‘The King Who Crowned Himself’. The result of Zina’s ‘false’ vision has the Alpha Prince and future Alpha Supreme, Daemon, banished from the capital to fight wars at the borders where only death awaits him in the hands of the famed Arising Rogues, and the even more famed Deformed. But Daemon survives fire, blood and claw, and not only does he survive, but six years later, he is back as Alpha Supreme, driven by vengeance against those who brought him down. Starting from his cunny siblings, to the eighteen-year old girl now twenty-four who spelt his destiny with just mere words, Daemon vows to leave no one unscathed. However Zina is well aware of her own treachery. Now the Theta to the same powerful werewolf house she told the dangerous lie against, and having tasted the bitter pill of betrayal from the very people she told the dangerous lie for, she is unwilling to resign to her fate just yet. But how do you melt the heart of a man that you once ruined? And how do you destroy a woman loved by all the common people, and perhaps, even the gods? Daemon will learn the hard way that not all vengeance can be taken, and not all debts can be collected. Secrets abound, the Deformed Werewolves are set to rise, and a rare chance at second mating befalls the two most unusual people. And now, one thing has become for sure—Daemon must first defeat the enemy outside, before he can truly confront her, who has become the enemy of his heart. **** Zina's back pressed against the wall as a taut body pinned her, their warmth mingling together. Four years of deadly anticipation had culminated into that very moment. His whispers caressed her ear, sending shivers that had nothing to do with the chill in the air down her spine. “Since you see visions so well, tell me Theta of my house, do you see the day you will die?” His breath ghosted over her skin, reminding her of a debt to be collected. Swallowing and maintaining a tight grip on her staff despite the body that burned against hers, she answered firmly. “I am afraid the gods haven’t shown me yet.” The man over her smiled shrewdly. His lips grazed her ear, his hot breath sending waves of sensation. “I believe in all of the names I have been called, one of them is god. So let me tell you that which you do not know… “…today is the day you will die.”

What About Our Marriage?!

DAEMON

"Daemon!" Bella BloodMoon screeched, "surely, you're not leaving right?!"

Bella was many things to Daemon, but one word could surmise it all and that would be the word 'nuisance'. And the small, albeit very annoying kind.

Yaren muttered loud enough for them to hear, "You would think the packed bags will make that much obvious if not for tonight's earlier display."

Bella, the golden child of the BloodMoon pack simply shot Yaren a glare filled with animosity. When that glare finally rested back on Daemon, her eyes were as bright and meek as that of a newborn puppy.

"What about our marriage?!" She screamed out before Daemon could have the chance to tell her to keep her voice down as her banshee-like screaming was beginning to give him a terrible headache.

"Our marriage?" Daemon asked in a bland voice that anyone sane would think would stop her from saying more. But Bella was not one of the brightest persons he knew, and she had to prove it with her next words,

"I swear to the gods known and unknown that I will have that great seer or whatever they call her maimed! How dare she level such vile lies against you!"

And with that, Bella hurled herself on Daemon, her long, cold hands attempting to engulf him in something that terrifyingly seemed like a hug. Daemon reeled back from the hug, but was a tad bit too late. He carefully unplucked her fingers from his body and then proceeded to put a distance between their bodies.

He didn't know which made his stomach riot more—her blatant pretence, or her father's.

Earlier that night, Alpha BloodMoon had been defending Daemon like he was his lifeline. Whereas everyone in the room knew that it was the fact that the arranged marriage the BloodMoon Alpha had carefully planned was crumbling before him.

Without a marriage tie with Daemon who represented almost half of the Desert Southern lands, Alpha BloodMoon will never have the chance of realising his futile dream of becoming Alpha King.

Daemon also knew it was the blood of his mother's side that had contributed to his head not rolling on the floor that night. Killing Daemon would be declaring war against the terrorising Dessert packs that once pledged allegiance to Daemon's maternal great grandfather in the Armistice of The South.

That Allegiance had naturally flowed to the late Luna Queen and his mother. And while many had forgotten such loyalty, hardcore believers like the shifters that awaited him at the Persian Glaciers did not.

Daemon observed Bella, looking the woman up and down. No matter how much he looked at her, she simply was not one he could use as a weapon.

She was useless… at least to him.

"Do you not fear to be seen with a traitor?" Daemon said to her through narrowed eyes.

"A traitor? How could you call yourself such a horrible thing!"

"In that case, perhaps it is your father I should call a traitor."

Bella froze, "Wh…what do you mean?!"

"As a last gesture of my goodwill, extend my words to Alpha BloodMoon that he can never be Alpha King. At least not as long as I am alive. Anyone who attempts to break the peace here in the Arctic North shall die under the Arctic Wolf."

Bella reared back, hurt colouring her features. "How dare you! How could you spew such horrible words when you know fully well that the BloodMoons deserve the Arctic Wolf as much as anyone else!"

"So, you're not denying it."

"Seeing how shamelessly you still defend the very people that are after your life, I can't fathom denying such allegations! Has this incident not woken you up even now you've been dragged to the mud!"

"Dragged to the mud? Do you see me grovelling or shedding tears?"

Bella wiped at her tears hurriedly, looking stung. She observed Daemon as if truly noticing him for the first time, and Daemon knew very well what she could see.

She blanched at whatever it was that was in his eyes.

"Daemon." She began in a lower, more placating voice. "We could have married. You as Alpha King, and I as the Luna Queen."

"Could? I see we are already in the past tense. You sure do move very quickly."

"I love you! How could you dismiss my affections for you with such stony words! Only if you took the time to unbury your nose from those books you read and embraced your true self, you wouldn't have fallen so pathetically! You would have had the whole north under your feet by now!!!"

The word feet echoed and bounced against the walls of Daemon's rooms like a desperate scream. In the face of Bella's unending tears, and her body quaking from anger, he was unmoved like a rock.

"Yaren." He called, and Bella startled at the lethal venom laced to his word.

"Brother." Yaren answered with a crazy grin.

"Kindly escort Bella BloodMoon out of my quarters. It would seem she has lost her way and must have stumbled here by mistake."

Bella blanched, her tears streaming down even more. And without a word, she left the room.

"Barium." Daemon called to his male servant the moment Bella left.

"My Lord."

"Any news about what I asked for?"

"There is. Report coming to us is that a man visited the Seer. Our scouts report he smells like an Alpha… specifically a blood Alpha."

Daemon stared blankly at the crescent moon that hung in the sky from his window. Killing an Alpha to become one was a practice that was common with small packs. With a pack as huge as NorthSteed, it was nearly impossible but still doable.

Daemon said, "I suppose he is the new Alpha of the WolfKnight's."

"I believe so."

"Is there no more interesting information?"

"There's one more thing. The Alpha King sent his command. The Seer is to be appointed the Theta of the NorthSteed pack with the title Orathmir."

Daemon scoffed, "Seer of All? I do wonder if she can see the pit she's dug for herself, or her death for the matter. No matter, we must leave tonight. But first, I will see the Alpha King before we depart."

And with that, Daemon left the room stoically for the Alpha King's dwellings.
