Dirge had to leash his wolf Shepard to stop him from tearing through the sacred groves. It was an outrage seeing Thessi dragged off by her so-called fiance who wasn’t all he seemed, according to his brothers.
Jiro gripped his arm and Garnet held his other arm. “Don’t even think about it,” Jiro said in his cold, furious tone.
“He threatened to arrest all of us as accomplices if she didn’t go with them,” Dirge mumbled.
Jiro bared his teeth. “It was already an act of war to have so many elven rangers aiming at our territory and lying about us. The man just threatened shifter royalty as well as a member in good standing of the Shifter Parliament and two Wise Women. If our friends are right as usual, our only consolation is that this may not be the real Ilbryen.”
