Chapter 1The Beginning

Year unknown: The Great War

There is a child, crying, pleading for his mother who was nowhere to be seen, while everyone was running around. chaos everywhere, people's agony could be heard from miles, children cries were buried under the panic. The houses were burning and the ashes were soaked by the dark sky and the red moon. Everyone was in panic, what seemed like a beautiful village, was on fire. Not far away you could hear the sounds of swords clashing. The biggest battle possibly written in history It seemed like. Blood, metal, swords and death, everything that was needed in a war was present here, no, it was worse than a war.

Battle cries and commanders shouting their orders to their men were all over the bloody ground. The sky was red, in the darkest hour possible, as if the blood on the ground met in heaven. Suddenly, a beaming light, not far from the battle emerged from the sky, submerging deep inside the soil. Everyone's face was shining bright from the light, as if the they were looking at the sun. Everyone stopped, gazing and awing at the bright light.

The light came up from the sky and was meeting at the ground, while dissipating the dark sky and embodying everything in holy light. This, marked the end of the bloodlust and war, greatest, and bloodiest ever to be recorded.

Part I

Current date: year 404 after the great war

Location: The demon territory, kingdom Thievens lied on the far west side of the super continent. It was ranked the second largest kingdom out of the 4 major kingdoms. Before the war it was a vast green land filled with power and beauty, but since they lost the Great War, many riches were taken. But it is not as bad as the southern region of the mega-continent where the banished, or the so called fallen civilization resides.

"Ahhh! It sure is hot out here. I'm already sweating."

That was Layn, a teenage demon boy with dark red eyes, cherry red hair and about 5'9. The only thing special about him were the weird evocation symbols on his right hand. He had these symbols ever since he could remember.

Layn's house was at the country-side in north-eastern region near the border of the human territory, kingdom Of Mediolenum.

He was accepted by the prestigious Thievens Sins Highschool, which is the most renowned facility there is to offer by the kingdom, as it is under the direct control of the 13 councils. The current demon lord passed out from this school, and the school is mostly filled with high aristocratic students from nobility, rarely any country-side boy like Layn.

(13 councils is the government structure formed by the Demons. They comprise of 13 individuals who serve specific roles in legislative, Executive, Military, Finance, Foreign affairs and so on. Just like that, the human territory of Kingdom of Mediolenum has the royal family which controls the kingdom with the Pope and the holy church.)

The Thievens Sins Highschool is in the capital city Thiva which was 20-ish days by horse from Layn's house, including resting, maintenance of horse, etc.

The enrolment lasts for 13 days, which was the deadline by which students had to come under these days otherwise they won't be accepted.

Layn left the house 10 days prior to the start of enrolment. Right now his plan was to walk 10 hours straight, then take halt and rest in the small town which lay in between his destination, sleep there, wake up early in the morning, get a horse and make haste to Thiva.

He already bid goodbye to his family which had adopted him since he was a baby. His mother, father and sister.

"well, it seems like resting for a bit ain't gonna harm me."

While Layn was having his short lunch, something from the bushes behind him made crunchy noises. Someone was stepping on branches and breaking them. Layn immediately noticed that and took a fighting stance.

"Who is there?! I know you are behind the bushes, come out now."

The bushes started making more noises, but no one was coming out. The thing was not big, as it could hide behind some small bushes... but it didn't change the fact that it could be dangerous.

"listen, I know you have been following me for a while. Back then I didn't take any actions cause I thought you meant no harm, but you know I can't just ignore you while you are on my back?"

The bushes started to make more noises, and then something came out of it... it was a small, no, medium sized humanoid being. It had a fluffy small tail, and long brown ears which resembled that of a rabbit. It seemed to be female, and had a cute blush face.

"what? A demi-human? What is a being like you who lives in the east doing here? This makes no sense.."

"I, I am sorry... I didn't mean to concern you, m...my name is r-Riva, I am a half rabbit and half human. Please forgive me"

Demi-humans had their own territory in the east side of the super continent. Demi-humans were half animals and half humans. Some of them were stronger physically like minotaur, but some were weaker like rabbit-folk and etc. So, a demi-human to be in the domain of demons was rare, but if she was a slave, then that wasn't so uncommon. But given the fact that she was following Layn, who was walking in a wild forest, nowhere near a village or town was strange. Therefore, according to this she couldn't have been a slave.

"I, I see... but what are you doing here? No, more importantly, why were you following me?"

The demi-human seemed to be weak and fragile. She had clothes of a slave, torn and dirty, a plain single white cloth. Her hair was messy, and her face was full of dirt and mud. The demi-human gets out of the bush and starts to slowly walk towards Layn, but she seems to have trouble in doing that. Her movements were sloppy and weak, and then, as she was getting near Layn, she tripped and fell down on her face.

"Riva? Are you oaky? What happened? Wait I'm coming-"

Slowly Riva's eyes closed., and everything went dark

Armipotent

This is a work of fiction, any names, characters, stories or events, are fictitious! (Even the country in the story is just the author's fantasy as the author never visited those countries in the story) Armipotent is an archaic adjective meaning "strong in battle." Basically, it refers to someone who is physically tough in war. Originally, it was used to refer to the Roman god of war, Mars. ===================== Tang Shaoyang, an orphan who dropped out of the middle school to fight on the street as he found out school was useless for a penniless orphan like him. Tang Shaoyang dropped out of his school, fighting on the street, and made a name for himself. Berserker Tang from Youyouliucun. Afterward, Dragon Wing triad recruited him and everything was good for him. Even though the public deemed him as a tumor of society, Tang Shaoyang was having a decent life. Until one day, everything changed as an absurd and strange game started. "... Game starts! Stage one: Survival for The Fittest!" After the game started, zombies appeared out of nowhere. ... Ding! "You have killed 1000 zombies less than 24 hours since the game started! You gained 3 Talents!" Dong! "You may choose 3 Talents! please choose carefully!" Tang Shaoyang held his chin and mused what Talent he had to choose. "With Zombies appear everywhere, I need an infinite strength... this is one, I still need to choose 2 Talents more..." Then a lewd smile formed on his lips. "I want an infinite strength, charm and charisma to conquer women, and the last one, I want to upgrade my **** so I can please my women!" After saying this, Tang Shaoyang laughed aloud. "Hahaha, there's no way such talent exists... ehhhhh?!!!" Ding! Dong! "3 Talents are consumed! You have been granted Divine Body! Good Luck, Gamer Tang Shaoyang!" Tang Shaoyang immediately checked the detail of Divine Body. After a brief silence, he muttered unbelievably. "Such Talents really exist..."
