upperclassmen vs First years part 1

Next day 

"There are always a lot of spectators on Sunday… but there soo many people here former student journalist"

Kanemaru said to random first years 

"Oh damn I'm getting nervous"

"i couldn't sleep last night"

"when I joined seido I never thought that in a month I will be playing against upperclassmen!"

First years were talking among themselves.

"Hmmm..never thought we'd need to see how well first year do so early on"

A Spectator said 

"i guess they really must hurting over that thing with their pitchers"

Another said

On the playground coach kataoka wearing umpire gear said to all first years 

"I m giving all of first years chance to play in the game, each of you need to be ready to go at all times"

"Yes sir!!"

First years shouted, and they thought the coach was going to be the umpire.

"strike!"

Said the umpire

" Batter out, three outs, change

"Yessh"

Tanba yelled he finished the first inning three up and three down

While walking back to dugout he looked at Furuya in first years dugout 

Now first year's time to defend

Coach kataoka announced the first batch of starters and first one to take the mound was ace pitcher of matsukata little league–hideaki tojo

" Oh they finally took three outs it took forever for them I guess this game is reality check for first years and for seniors we are object to get fired up for them ahh"

Sawamura said while sitting alone in the corner of the first year dugout.

Well their spirits are broken already, I want to see something here but it will only make it worse, well then I will say through my actions when I can get to go up on the mound, now it's just bearing with it .

It was only the bottom of second inning but for first years it was a bloodbath that they wanted to escape from..

[ Upperclassmen:12,9.          ]

No outs taken in this inning. If this goes on then the score will get bigger and bigger in this inning only, that tojo is totally can't play anymore he already gave up, pathetic well I can't blame them after all this High school baseball.

"Hmm isn't it time to change the pitcher now"

Sawamura thought.

"Pitching change, satoru Furuya get up on the mound"

Coach kataoka announced loudly

Furuya who was sleeping got up suddenly

"He hasn't warmed his arm yet"

First year's in dugout

"Will he be alright?"

"Wh-who is this kid I never seen him before"

Curious people on stand talked 

"Which school is he from?"

Upperclassmen talked among themselves

Furuya started and

Catcher "ah?!"

The ball got hit on the face guard of the umpire, who was coach kataoka.

"Wh-what in the world was that!?"

Catcher thought in his heart with scared and surprised look

"C-Coach!!?"

"Are you okay?!"

Surprised upperclassmen asked to coach kataoka

" Coach!!?"

"You pass Furuya starting from tomorrow you practise with starting lineup"

Coach kataoka said with unconcerned look

"What!?"

"A-are you kidding me!?"

Everyone was surprised

 "wait a sec coach his only throw one pitch"

"if we got another couple of pitches… even just once we'd able to come up with a way to hit it"

Upperclassmen protested.

" I do like him to pitch more but I don't think any first year will able to catch for him"

Coach kataoka said

"Don't worry when he practises with you you'll able to to hit against him everyday"

Coach kataoka whispered to upper classes

"Well I got the results I wanted but"

Coach kataoka glanced at sawamura in first year dugout and thought "well"

"Let's Change the pitchers, sawamura eijun get up on the mound!"

Coach kataoka announced

"So it's finally my time"

Sawamura said while preparing to go and started walking, Kariba who was in the dugout said quietly.

"give your all"

Sawamura who heard that simply smiled and started walking towards the mound.

After getting on mound 

"Oh who's this?"

"I don't know, I never saw him before"

"Let's see what this first year has to offer"

Spectators talked

"oh woo So he finally coming on mound now"

Miyuki thought with a grin on his face 

Well there are many people watching me ahh, sawamura thought well looking around 

"Hey what kind of pitches you can throw"

Catcher asked 

" Well 4 seam fastball at all corners, well as long you don't move your mitt,I will deliver right into your mitt "

Sawamura said with serious expression

"Ah-huh okay"

Catcher said started walking towards Home plate

Sawamura glanced at defenders and then at catcher and thought.

I might not be able to fire them up like manga sawamura, but I can give them hope through my pitching.

There was no expression on Sawamura's face anymore,his eyes were shining with golden colour as if those eyes wanted to devour Everything in front and the aura around him was more heavy. People couldn't help but notice the change around.

"he feels like completely different person"

Miyuki murmured inwardly 

"What's with him?!" Catcher thought then he remembered something sawamura said

"Well as long as you don't move your mitt once I throw, I will deliver my pitches right in your mitt!"

I thought he was just bluffing, but seeing how serious he is, I will trust you for this one.

Batter " damn first year whom you are trying to intimidated"

Catcher signalled for low and inside pitch

Sawamura nodded

Sawamura lifted his right leg high, creating a barrier-like stance and abruptly concealed his arm behind his head.

This move

Coach Kataoka thought and a look of surprise flickered across his eye.

In the following moment.

The arm swing into motion

Straight bright light, shoot forth.

Taking the batter and Catcher aback.

Batter subconsciously swinged the bat.

Bang~

"strike!"

Catcher

"Damn! This pitcher " Thought

Bang~

"Strike Two!"

Four seam at the edge of the out-low corner.

Bang~

"Strike! Batter out"

Four seam the same course as before. 

Batter " shit!" And whispered to next batter 

"He pitches has almost perfect control and I can't see the arm when he swings"

"Huh can't see? What"

The next two batters didn't fare any better.

A four seam to high-in corner

Batter got stunned and stepped up in fear of ball hitting him

"Strike! Batter out, change!"

"Ohhhhh!"

"He just pitched flawlessly against the upperclassman!

"Who is that guy!?"

"Is he the same as Furuya? Unknown pitcher"

"Well well it seems seidou got two fantastic first years pitchers"

Spectators talked to each other 

Same time on field.

Upperclassmen dugout was filled with silence as well as first years

But first years soon came out of their stunned state.

"Wooooo"

"No way!" "i can't believe he shut the third years out this inning"

"Nice pitch" " good one" " hell yeahhh!" "what are you dude!!"

Every first years on the field were surrounding sawamura.

"Don't let that first year pitcher get one over

"S-sorry"

Third year said to last strike out batter

"A Four seam fastball that he can throw in and out, all corners perfectly and he has quite fast pace too but still I feel there's more to his pitching" tetsu

They came to watch before when Furuya pitched 

Furuya and Miyuki were few steps away from tetsu and Jun

Once they reached dugout sawamura said with serious face directly to all

"We haven't come here to admire Seido or their players, haven't you seen they are coming at full swing on us?, You guys thinks you all are bigshots of middle school but here we are nothing but showing pathetic plays without any spirit, I know senpai's are trained more than us but are we really that weak that we can't play a fucking baseball wholeheartedly and passionately!!?"

Every first years head's were down feeling ashamed.

"In this situation what can we do? We might lose today but this will be our defeat that will be a reminder of our growth in the future so what we can do now is play without any regrets and enjoy baseball!!"

Sawamura shouted towards the freshmans after hearing this all it sit the fire under the first years 

"yeahhh!" "we can't let it end here"

"Even if we lose, we will give them a good fight". "All right game's not over yet!!!" " let's show them our baseball"

All first years were getting loud 

"haha first years are getting loud!"

Minister ota said 

" he shut the third year this inning so entire entire team is getting fired up"

Takashima Rei replied with a simile

Ota: "It's almost like team as completely changed since the beginning the game"

Rei:. " Hmm hmm"

And if you ask me who created this atmosphere then it is him.

Game went on 

First half of third inning first years were able to reach on the base but unfortunately they failed to score but still it was better than last innings and the atmosphere of first years was in full swing

In bottom of third inning sawamura pitched against first three batter of batting line-up

He went on strike out them in a row,

They weren't able to tell where I would throw if even they got it correct but they would swing late or too early due to my pitching form.

My locating of pitches and pitching form where they can't see my release point, completely broke their rhythm but once they get used to these they will be able to hit it. 

That's why I can't stop improving and get stronger 

"Woo this inning too it was three up and down!"

"And that also it was their first abat of batting order"

People on stands got fired up

"He's a good pitcher. But batters were swinging late"

Tetsu said with excited face 

"Yah indeed they were swinging late, it might be due to his form I cant tell without seeing for myself "

Miyuki responded to tetsu

Tetsu said with fighting spirit

Miyuki just smiled at his captains behaviour

It was the top of 4 inning, 1 out and runner on 1st base and finally it was sawamura time to bat 

"Well it's time to put on good use of my batting"

Sawamura thought in batters box with open batting stance

Keisuke miyauchi who was Catcher thought he just a first year even if he pitching is good but still his a first year he might have given his whole attention to pitching in middle school

"Tanba u don't need to pay attention To him give a sharp curveball to inside corner"

Miyauchi signalled to tanba

Tanba nodded slightly. In his heart he also felt Same as miyauchi. 

When tanba throw the first ball a white light came out of his hand and it flew towards sawamura like it was going to hit him but than it turned like it was avoiding him to go after the catcher mitt instead 

When miyauchi thought that this going to strike at that moment 

"Right now" sawamura said in his heart 

suddenly bat came in front of the mitt and suddenly swing the bat with power 

Wooshh~~

"Thock~"

Sound of ball hitting the bat sounded

The fielders weren't able to react, the ball had power and was flying high it reached outfield in right corner of the field but unfortunately it landed in foul area

"Foul!"

Umpire/coach announced but in his heart he was quite surprised 

"Woooo it almost reached out the field but luck wasn't on his side"

"That's crazy, he is a first year pitcher and he's good at batting too!?"

Spectators were Surprised..

Tanba on the mound didn't have a good look.

After seeing the ball going so far, Miyauchi couldn't help but show a little bit of worry.

But there was anger that tanba's best pitch was hit by an unknown first year pitcher who just showed himself today.

Miyauchi signalled to tanba. Tanba had little bit of trace of angry in his eyes, miyauchi called for outside straight fastball four seamer

But that proved to be a mistake

"heh, that was mistake"

Without any fear sawamura stepped in and swung his bat hard at the ball that was thrown in the outside corner 

*Clang!!!*

The bat struck the ball with a very loud sound. I don't have much power in my body to hit all the way outside, so With Posey Buster's experience of the open batting stance and my flexibility I found a batting form to create maximum power to hit the pitch without much mass on my body, the more I train my body the harder I will be able to hit. 

Due to that straight fastball are more easy for me to hit and tanba fastball is best at average if it was above 150 pitches I can't hit it all the way outside only for right now but in future I will able to but my weakness is breaking ball its not like I can't hit it but it take more power than a straight fastball.

Back in the reality

The ball sailed through the air without dropping.

I took the que and ran towards the first base 

Suffice to say, it was homerun 

The Cheers were thunderous from first year and the shock on the face tanba and other seniors on upperclassmen team were shocked, my homerun was needed for the first years team 

When I reached the dugout everyone was in high spirits.

When the next batter was going suddenly haruichi kominato stopped him and said 

" Excuse me! I want to go in as pinch hitter"

"Huh what's he think his doin-" 

"Let him go"

Sawamura said to the first year who was arguing. After seeing Sawamura told that he nodded 

Haruichi went into the batter box.

"Wait is that a wooden bat"

Spectators said

"Well it seems we have another interesting first year ah"

Miyuki said with a interested face 

"This kid build doesn't make me think as a good batter"

Miyauchi thought

"Plus his holding his bat so short he will never able to hit an outside ball like that"

Tanba currently is shaken by that home run so then let's go with your best confident pitch curveball

Miyauchi signalled to tanba 

Tanba nodded with serious face and threw he best pitch but for haruichi it felt like it was written in there face 

Clang~

Sound of ball hitting the bat 

"It's going along the foul line if it's in then it's a long drive!"

The dropped inside the foul line 

Haruichi reached the second base 

"Wooooo"

"He hit the base that also second base"

"With also with a wooden bat that"

"just now wasn't that now curveball"

Spectators were enjoying this game 

In the field, the tanba was totally shaken and the seniors ' dugout was so quiet.

But in first year dugout was blasting out 

After that hit from haruichi tanba throwed some meatballs and first years who were in high spirits were swinging there bat fully, more three runs were lost after sawamura 2 run Homerun with total of 5 runs scored in top of 4 inning but after calling a timeout tanba recovered 2 in a row he striked out next batters finally top of 4 inning was over
