024 Murky Spirit Water

"I have reached the fifth human realm." Liam said before he passed out and fell unconscious on the floor.

"Where is he now? We almost need to head out and go to classes and Liam hasn't even come out of his damned room!" Ralph was angrily waiting along with Aria, for Liam to get ready. When he couldn't wait anymore, he decided to enter his room. To his surprise, he found Liam on the ground unconscious.

"Liam!" Ralph shouted very concerned. Aria heard him shout and rushed to Liam's room as well.

"Is he okay?" Aria asked equally concerned.

"I don't know. Let's take him to the elders." Ralph proposed and they instantly picked up Liam. Aria made a metal bed with handles on each side, so they could carry Liam easier.

They knew that not going to classes was going to get them punished, but this was more important.

In the general valley of the sect, they had a pretty big medical hall. Disciples would often get injured or worse and there was a constant stream of disciples that needed some sort of medical attention. That's why it had workers available 24/7 and several inner court disciples working there. It seemed there were a lot more options for work for inner court disciples.

"Excuse me, we found our friend unconscious in his room this morning. Could you please check if he is, okay?" Ralph asked as he handed over Liam along with the metal frame, they used to carry him.

"Aren't you supposed to be at class?" The nice reception worker there, asked them. "Yes, but we thought this was urgent, that's why we came." Aria said.

"He is probably exhausted from a difficult breakthrough, but we will check him for sure. Don't worry about it. You can head to class now, if you explain the situation and aren't too late the elder shouldn't make too much of a fuss about it." The inner court disciple explained to them and set them off.

"He broke through? No way, and he did it so fast. He is already a lot better than the average person. I sometimes forget that we are in a sect that holds the best of the best in the southern continent." Ralph mumbled under his nose.

"I haven't seen this kid among the aristocrats that joined our sect. Do you know him?" The elder asked the inner court disciple that brought him in.

"No master, but I do know that he was caught as a runaway a few weeks ago." The disciple responded.

"There is no way, how didn't they find such a talented kid, he must have stood out in the crowd. Reaching the fifth human realm at this age is pretty impressive even for some aristocrats, but for a commoner?" The elder pondered about Liam's origin.

"That's what's so interesting about this kid, master. It seems as if he appeared out of nowhere. When the sect did a background check on him, before they let him in, they didn't find a single thing." The disciple spoke with a smile, as she knew mysteries like this interested her master.

"How interesting. By the way, you were right. He is just too tired from breaking through, let him rest here for a few hours, then you can send him back. I'll tell the elder about his absence from class today." The elder said before she left to deal with other patients that she may have.

A few hours later, Liam woke up.

"You finally woke up." The same inner court disciple had sat near his bed and waited for him to wake up. "Just rest for today, and cultivate a bit to get comfortable with your new cultivation level. From tomorrow, you should be good enough to go back to class." She said with a smile.

"Thank you." Liam didn't really know what to say and he was wondering how he got here, who brought him.

"A boy and a girl brought you here, I imagine they're your friends? If that is what you're wondering. You better go thank them now." She spoke.

"Oh, I will. Thank you for everything." Liam said before he left to go towards his house. "I feel great, but it's weird. I feel a bit tired, but I also feel like I have more energy and strength than ever before." Liam pondered about his current condition as he walked back.

"Thank you for bringing me to the medical hall." Liam said as soon as he entered his house, then he realized that they we're still at class. Liam entered his room and now he finally had some free time to examine what really happened when he broke through and what are the changes to his body.

Liam first went into his sea of soul, as he wanted to try his luck and find answers to some of the questions he had, it was worth a try, to see if the hooded man would talk to him. Instead, when Liam entered his sea of soul, there was something that he instantly noticed.

In his sea of soul, there was no dark blue blob of qi drops and there was no blob of darkness qi drops. There was only a big blob of mostly dark green liquid with a few strands of light green and a very dark green.

"What is this?" Liam asked the hooded man and to his surprise, he got a response.

"I have looked at it in the time you were unconscious and my guess is that both of your elements needed to merge so you could breakthrough. Most people that have more than one element, they either have an upgraded element, for example. Having water and ice. Ice is an upgraded element. The other case is where the two elements are compatible. For example, lava and earth. They taught you what an upgraded element is right?" The hooded man asked Liam.

"Yes, in your case, if someone has the ice element, he can do everything someone with a water element could do but he can also use the ice element too." Liam explained in short.

"Yes, my guess is that your two elements were not compatible and they merged to form an upgraded element of the two, like lava is for fire and earth. You should still be able to use all of your deep-sea element and now darkness element abilities and techniques and to add to that, you have this new element. Murky spirit water, or others call it swamp element." The man gave the big reveal to Liam and Liam was heavily disappointed.

"My cool sounding elements like deep sea and darkness merged to form something so lackluster, a swamp?" Liam didn't know if he should cry or be angry.

"It might sound week, but it is very strong." There was another swamp user in my clan and he held a position even higher than mine. We heavily used his swamp abilities. I never learned how to preform those abilities but I can give you something to try and imagine towards." The Hooded man said.

"Please do, I want to use everything I can to get stronger." Liam was now exited.

"I would suggest you don't use your swamp and darkness abilities in public too much. That man used to lay a small swamp on any surface, that would be very effective in attracting most types of creatures, even ones that don't normally live in a swamp. And after the creature entered his swamp area, he could poison it with what seemed like any type of poison out there. On the opposite, he could also heal anything inside the poison, he was pretty strong, so I don't imagine you can do that, but he could lay that swamp over a huge distance. When in a group fight, healing all of us and poisoning the enemy." The hooded man continued to speak.

"Wow, that sounds so powerful, but it doesn't seem very useful in a one-on-one fight." Liam commented.

"You're right, but after all, I never saw him fight one on one. And I am sure there are a lot of techniques that I never saw him perform or techniques that he had never even found out about." The hooded man said. "I've only told you because I was interested myself. You have got enough of my knowledge, scram."

"This is my sea of soul; you can't make me leave." Liam said. "Thank you for trying to save me yesterday. You gave up you chance to try and save me. I will give you another one on the same conditions. Up to 24 hours, understood?" Liam said but he received no response. Eventually, he decided to exit his sea of soul.

"He is a nice guy, I know it." Liam thought to himself, that's when Ralph and Aria entered his room.

"Are you feeling better now?" Aria asked Liam.

"You already broke through to the fifth human realm, huh? You are not giving me time to catch up to you." Ralph said as he smiled.

The three friends laughed and Ralph and Aria talked about their day and how angry the elder was, that a disciple did not attend his class. Then Elder Maria had to come and calm him down. He was calling you all sorts of names, saying that you we're disrespecting him. He caused a whole scene there.

"I am soon to breakthrough to the fourth human realm." Aria announced with a smile. Liam also smiled as his friends seemed a lot closer now and frankly, he was enjoying life as it was.
