Unyielding Tempest

The battlefield roared with life, cursed energy crackling in the air like a thunderstorm. Emilia and Gunnr clashed with earth-shaking force, Gunnr's bow unleashing arrow after arrow as Emilia weaved through them, her fists glowing with cursed energy. Meanwhile, Furōkawa stood a short distance away, face-to-face with Eir.

Eir was calm, her silver armor gleaming under the faint light, her glaive resting casually on her shoulder. Despite the carnage surrounding them, she wore a faint smile, her demeanor almost disarming.

"I must admit," Eir said softly, her voice like the first breath of winter. "You intrigue me. You've slaughtered my sisters, yet you don't seem... cruel. What drives you, I wonder?"

Furō's grip on Onamazu tightened, his glare cutting through her serene expression. "Don't act like you care," he said. "Your sisters have done nothing but bring destruction. I'm not here to talk— I'm here to end you."

Eir tilted her head, her smile unwavering. "Such fire. And yet, you hesitate. Tell me, do you truly hate us, or do you hate what you've had to become to fight us?"

"Oh, shut up!" Furo shouted, charging forward with Onamazu in its whip form, the three tendrils lashing out with deadly precision.

Eir's expression shifted ever so slightly, a hint of sadness crossing her features as she moved with graceful efficiency.

Her glaive spun, deflecting the tendrils with practiced ease. "Your anger blinds you," she said, sidestepping a strike and countering with a sweep of her glaive.

The blade nicked Furō's side, drawing blood, and he cursed under his breath as he jumped back.

Eir sighed, lowering her weapon slightly.

"You're strong, but your heart is heavy.

Fighting with that weight will only drag you down."

Furō grit his teeth, the mist from his Haze bracelet swirling around him. "I don't need advice from someone who's about to die!"

He manipulated the mist into a solid wall, forcing Eir to leap to the side, where he was waiting with a Spear of Putrefaction in hand. He hurled the toxic spear, its deadly energy spiraling toward her.

Eir spun her glaive, deflecting the spear mid-air, but the resulting splash sent her skidding back, her armor scorched by the toxic energy. She glanced at the charred marks on her armor and smiled faintly. "You fight well. Perhaps too well for someone carrying so much pain."

Furō snapped. His toxic mist thickened around him, coiling like a storm as he began the chant and hand seals for his most destructive attack.

Eir's eyes narrowed, her glaive at the ready. "Ah, so you've chosen your path. Very well."

Furo's voice rang out across the battlefield, resonating with power:

"Shinsu, Spirit Spring, Lost Alioth!"

The spear he summoned radiated pure destruction, its toxic energy glowing brighter and deadlier than anything before. He hurled it with all his strength, the spear slicing through the air like a falling star.

Eir's smile faltered as the spear struck her square in the chest. The resulting explosion consumed her in a blinding light, the shockwave flattening everything in its radius. When the dust settled, Eir lay crumpled on the ground, her glaive shattered beside her.

Furō staggered, his body screaming in protest from the strain of breaking his vow. He turned to see Emilia and Gunnr still locked in combat, the ground shaking with every exchange of blows.

"Emilia!" he called, stumbling toward her.

But as he took a step forward, the oppressive weight of his broken vow lifted, his cursed energy snapping back to 60%. He faltered, the sudden loss of power making him stumble.

"Furō!" Emilia's voice cut through the chaos, filled with desperation. "Don't turn your back! She's not done!"

Furō froze, his blood running cold as he felt it– a surge of cursed energy, impossibly strong and growing stronger by the second. He turned back just in time to see Eir rising to her feet. Her armor was cracked, her body bloodied, but her expression was calm as ever.

"Fascinating," she said, her voice soft but carrying an edge. "You truly are remarkable. But I must end this now."

She raised her hand, and the air grew still, suffused with an overwhelming presence. Her cursed energy erupted like a tidal wave, and she spoke with quiet authority:

"Domain Expansion: Sanctuary of the Eternal Bloom."

A shimmering dome of silver light spread outward, enveloping Furo before he could react. The world around him shifted, the battlefield replaced by an endless field of blooming flowers, their petals glowing with an ethereal light.

The air felt thick and suffocating, laced with a toxic sweetness that sapped his strength.

Outside the domain, Emilia screamed, slamming her fists against the barrier.

"Furō! Damn it all!"

Inside, Furō's legs wobbled as he tried to steady himself, his vision blurring from the overwhelming cursed energy saturating the domain. Eir stood at the center of the field, her glaive now reformed and glowing with divine energy.

"I do not wish to fight you like this," Eir said, her tone genuine. "But you leave me no choice."

Furō clenched his fists, his toxic mist swirling faintly at his feet despite the suffocating energy around him. "I'll tear this place apart if I have to," he growled, his voice defiant even as his body struggled to stand.

Eir's gaze softened, a hint of sorrow in her eyes. "Hm..."
