United Human Calendar Year 4701. Almost 5000 years after humans discovered they were not alone in the universe and began their long war with the other two intergalactic civilisations of Draconians and Dwarves. Suddenly, a sound seemingly as though reality itself was being torn apart was heard by every single intelligent life-form in the universe before a voice followed. The voice told them that it would create a virtual platform called Tether, where all the rates would conduct their conflicts with each other. From now on, any large-scale massacres or wars between the civilisations, which could regress the technological, cultural and intellectual progress of the civilisations would be considered treason, and they would be erased. to prove its point, the voice declared a leader from each of the three civilisations; who had conducted such massacres, as dead, and they died instantly, along with all their wealth and belongings. 20 years later, the entire universe is playing the game, not only due to being forced to do so by their governments but also the various rewards, both monetary and otherwise found inside. Jack, a normal human who lost a large part of his family, enters the game after a few years in the military, and a few months of being a free mercenary. However, he comes across a 'stone', which is both a blessing and a curse, giving him incredible powers in the game, but also making him the target of all the powerful and influential humans and other species. Ultimately, all the powerful humans band together, and first rip away his guild from the inside, before laying siege to his home base and finally seizing the item by killing him. ... However, the 'stone' seems to have powers beyond the game and brings Jack back to his past before he lost his family. What will Jack do? And how will he get revenge on those who caused him harm?
Of course, before anything else, Jack decided he would solve the issue with the code in his mind once and for all. Therefore, Jack took out his secured phone after a long time and downloaded a word unscrambler from the network, before cutting off his connection with the network completely, in order to prevent the content of what he would find out next from being leaked.
Next, Jack entered all the words and letters, clicked on the button to remove all grammatically incorrect sentences, and then let the program do its job.
Unfortunately, after about a minute or so, it was done, with an incredibly long list. Well, it was definitely better than the millions-long list he would otherwise have to go through. This list could be shortened down to just a few options if he connected it to the net and allowed the AI in the program to do its thing after the connection was established, but Jack did not want that, so, he sat down, reading each option one at a time.
Two hours later, all of a sudden, he found it. The last sentence of the long chant in his mind contains all sorts of differing instructions, descriptions, and sayings.
"To you who has read this message, may you be able to successfully sense and gather Ki, such that you can ascend to the peak of your universe, and beyond. After all, ruling your universe is just the first stepping stone in your never-ending journey…"
As the last sentence was completed in his mind, all the words shone together in bright white light as Jack felt like he was hit by a meteor, his mind turning to mush from the excruciating pain.
Every second felt like an eternity as the pain in Jack's mind increased two-fold with each passing moment. This pain was like no other Jack had gone through. Not the kind of pain he had to go through in the military. Especially considering he had been put through some anti-torture sessions as well, to prevent him from leaking secrets to the enemies.
But this pain did not originate from his body and instead stemmed from deep within him.
It was the kind of pain that he did not experience even when having his nails pulled out one at a time, and having his private parts electrocuted. He had not experienced this pain any other time in his life, except when he learned the news that he had lost his mother.
However, this was not an emotional pain, yet, it somehow gave him the same feeling. The same feeling of hopelessness and emptiness he had felt when he lost his loved ones.
This excruciating pain continued to grow stronger until Jack could not take it anymore and fainted. This was, after all, a defence mechanism by the human body to avoid something which was stressing you out too much, which included things like fear or even pain.
…
Only a few minutes later, Jack regained consciousness as he opened his eyes to a brand new world. A world with bright and multicoloured floating orbs the size of fireflies. Jack's eyes were currently glowing white with drops of blood falling from them as Jack observed the world around him without realising the blood.
