The Timeless Assasin
The story of the timeless assassin was a taboo in the modern universe where gods were assumed to be immortals.
In the last 2000 years, since the 'Great Betrayal' occured, not a single God had died, and the universe seemed to have forgotten the reign of terror that the Timeless Assassin left behind, where even gods were punished and killed without mercy for their crimes.
However, with the timeless assassin dead and his methods to kill gods extinct, there was no longer any check or balance to the tyranny of gods, most of whom had grown quite unruly over the last 2000 years.
In the universe, while many types of races and classifications technically existed, there was only one classification that mattered most, which was the distinction between a three dimensional being called a 'mortal', and a four dimensional being called a 'god'.
