Chapter 4

(A/N: I took away the Dimensional Travel aspect of Anarchy because I felt that Jack should work to gain a skill capable of Dimensional Travel. So I turned it from Dimensional Travel to Diventional Storage)

Jack stood up and stretched. He had been training in the ruined city nonstop for a whole month, honing all of his abilities and most importantly his body. Even though it had only been a week he had grown much stronger, but he was still far away from becoming a Demon Lord so he kept up his rigorous training.

Today was no different from any other day. He woke up, scavenged for food in the city then trained all day to master his abilities. The difference came soon after night fell and Jack had just stopped training for the day. He was just walking back to his house to sleep when a howl pierced through the night. It sounded like it originated not too far away, so he postponed his plans for sleep.

Walking back to the ruined ruins of the palace Jack looked down at the city below him and saw a pack of wolves looting the houses. Jack immediately sprung into action because that was his loot and charged towards the nearest wolf. It seemed to sense him, but it was already too late. He had already skewered it through the head before it even knew what happened.

Now the wolves were aware of his presence, and they were pissed. The wolves barked and growled, white foam dripping from their mouth that was lined with razor-sharp teeth. Jack used Instant Move to close the distance and try to kill the leader of the wolves quickly, but the wolf sensed the danger and managed to dodge at the last moment.

He was now surrounded, but he didn't panic. There was always the option to just kamikaze them with solar eruption as a final resort, but Jack didn't feel like wasting all the solar energy he had collected so far. He decided then and there that he would finish this with only his swordsmanship and Arts.

The first wolf lunged forward, trying to gouge a chunk of flesh from his leg. Jack sidestepped the wolf and with one quick slash decapitated it. The wolves grew even more agitated with the death of another comrade, the amount of foam dripping from their mouths seemed to increase as well. Then the Alpha howled and all the wolves rushed him at once.

It would have been simple for him to just drop a miniature sun on top of them, but that would have defeated the point of training his body and swordplay. Jack leaped into the air to avoid the wolves, landing on one of the semi-intact house's roofs. He quickly dropped to the ground once more and rushed the beasts. His sword carved a path through the wolves as he activated Quick Slash and Quick Stab repeatedly.

Soon the Alpha was in sight once more. The wolves pushed harder against him, leaving his clothes in tatters and bites and scratches on his arms and legs. Jack pushed forward, now repeatedly spamming Heavy Blow after Heavy Blow. The wolves in front of him all died, split in half, or decapitated. He leaped over the last few defending wolves, twisted his body, and slashed in all directions as he did so.

He landed behind the Alpha and used Quick Stab to pierce the wolf's flank with his blade. The Alpha growled and lunged, its body blurring as it streaked towards his throat at impossible speeds. Jack met the oncoming wolf with a Heavy Strike, causing sparks to fly as tooth and claw clashed against metal.

With one Instant Move, he was now behind the wolf. His blade descended quickly and separated one of the Alpha's back legs from its body. As the Alpha recoiled in pain he used Quick Stab to land a hit on the wolf's side. The wolf jumped back, panting hard because of its injuries. As Jack paid attention to the Alpha two wolves jumped at him from behind.

He was so focused on the Alpha that it was only at the last second he was able to react. Turning and ducking Jack activated his Aura Sheild for a brief moment, stunning the wolves as they crashed into a barrier. While they were disoriented he managed to stab them both through the neck, killing them.

As he turned back to the Alpha Jack yelled in pain as the Alpha's fangs sank deep into his shoulder. After stumbling briefly he managed to gain his balance and dislodge the wolf. They both fell to the floor weakened and exhausted. The two looked at each other for a brief moment before springing back at each other once more.

Jack's blade clashed with the Alpha over and over. His strength left him with every attack he performed. There was still the solar energy that he could call on the restore his strength, but he left that for the last moment and only if he needed it. He wasn't the only one slowing, the wolf was also showing signs of blood loss and fatigue.

They both charged one final time to decide the victor of the fight. Digging deep and drawing upon all the natural energy left in his body Jack performed two more Arts in a row. The wolf and Jack passed each other in classic anime fashion, both remained standing for a second before he collapsed. The wolf seemed to have come out on top, but a moment later the wold collapsed, missing its head.

Jack woke the next morning drenched in the blood of the wolves he had killed, but that wasn't it. There were also a few notifications for him to look through regarding his previous battle.
