"Boring"
I said, sitting on the throne.
It has been days since I last killed Rouge and even revived him without making him my subordinate.
I thought rumors would spread, but maybe they don't in the daemon realm.
At least some could have come after sensing the Aura I let out.
⟪That is the very reason they do not approach the Overlord Castle⟫
Ooh. Overlord Castle, that sounds like a pretty menacing name. Also, what do you mean by they won't come due to my Aura?
⟪The Aura released is comparable to the Individual 'Veldanava' and is thus too powerful for any other daemons to approach you without dying⟫
.
.
.
.
.
I'm an idiot.
Wait, even if they do die, at least the Primordials should have come.
Tap Tap Tap…
The sound of steps approaching me ringed in my ears.
Hah. Finally, someone's here.
I looked at my Castle's doors, which shadowed another humanoid figure.
It was slim built, black hair that blended with the surroundings.
As he stepped from the darkness, I saw his mischievous eyes locked at me, radiating power not inferior to Rouge.
I wasn't surprised who it was, since I already knew it from the start.
From Athena's report, there are currently only 8 beings in the Underworld excluding me.
All of them were Devil Lords, which left me a bit confused since there are only seven Primordials and any other demons would first manifest as lesser demons.
Meh. I will check it out later. But right now…
I stood up, the blade buried before me as I placed both of my palms on its hilt.
Athena. Wanna give me a short Analysis on him!?
Just as I say, or rather think that, a Golden translucent screen appears before me, with a picture of the new person who had entered as well as a bunch of text in black font.
⟪As you wish.
Name: None
Title: Black Primordial (Noir)
Danger Rating: Special S (Catastrophe)
Race: Daemon (Devil Lord)
Tier:
Gender: Inapplicable
Threat Posed: None⟫
Hmm, I see. They currently only have raw power and lack the techniques and abilities to fully utilize that power.
Athena, next time give the gender of their body and their soul.
⟪Yes, Hajun⟫
Having both of them would be useful when faced to people like .
Anyways, onto the little Devil guest we have here.
"The Black Primordial, Noir"
My words stopped him right in his tracks.
"What do you desire?"
His lips curled up even more, while he materialized a katana in his right hand.
So you want to do it that way huh.
Taking my hand of the hilt of my blade, I walked forward headed for him.
Noir raised an eyebrow at this.
I raised my right hand as a small portal appeared just below it.
Coming from the wormhole, a purple katana, one that exuded colossal Aura slowly rose straight up, landing right in my palm as I took hold of it.
To make it fair this time around, I restricted my physical ability to 60% and the Magicule usage count to 40% compared to that of Noir's.
A drop of sweat formed over Noir's forehead, slowly travelling to his cheek and to his jaw.
Looking in each other's eyes, we silently waited in the hall as the drop started to fall.
BOOM…
We dashed towards each other the moment the drop touched the ground.
Our blades clashed, releasing a loud bang that blew away the air around us, forming a vacuum.
Lowering myself, I tried to sweep him of his feet.
However, growing wings on his back, he jumped back and above.
I dashed diagonally, prompting him to prepare to fly towards me while infusing Magicules in his sword.
However, just before he could a wave of air washed from behind him.
It pushed him from behind, distracting him.
Seeing the distracted Daemon, I jumped towards him and clenched my sword.
Using 『Moon Breathing: 4th Form; Severing Eclipse, Lunar Divergence』, I lifted my blade above my head and when just before swinging it down with as much force as I could exert with my current restrictions.
Escaping from my blade, came a large crescent moon which continued ahead with increasing size, headed to cut Noir into two equal pieces.
However, just before I hit, Noir used the momentum of the wind to change his trajectory by tilting his wings.
Using that as his leeway, he fired a large fireball towards his left and used the reverse momentum bolt sideways.
My slash landed however, still on the root of his left wing, cutting it off completely.
"Fufufu"
There it is, there's the annoying laugh.
But I guess that is also a bit funny.
"So you can smile"
Noir said as a matter of factly.
Huh. I didn't notice that I was smiling? That's a first.
"Heh. I guess I can"
Now that he had seen it, there was no need to keep up the mysterious Demon act.
Noir seemed amused. He regrew his wings, before putting them away.
I had only used normal Magicules to strengthen the blade so he felt no resistance to regeneration.
"Let's continue"
I smiled in response.
"Gladly"
We darted towards each other again. Just before our swords touched, I felt a foreign sensation near my feet.
⟪Individual 'Noir' has used…⟫
DON'T. I yell in my mind.
I am trying to have fun here so don't help me in this.
⟪…⟫
Using two of my lower eyes, I looked down to find the floor beneath my feat.
The hard red floor that once supported my feet was now like black gooey sponge sticking to my feet.
I used my Magicules to form a layer on my feet so it remains disconnected from the ground.
Freeing myself from the restrictive spell at my feet, I jump sideways to avoid Noir's magic imbued sword.
He however dashes straight towards me after changing his path.
Using my superior skill, I hold my own against his onslaught.
He had superior power and energy, while I had better skills and techniques.
"Let's End this shall we!?"
I said, prompting both of use to distance ourselves and ready our final blows.
Deciding to end this once and for all, I clenched my sword and prepared to use my deciding blow.
I had restricted myself to only using Magicules, something way too weak to power my current body, since the Magicules had already been exhausted to 30% of what I had to use in this fight.
Putting that matter away, I channeled all the remaining Magicules into my move.
Jumping towards each other, I hear Noir's sword crackling and the blade turned into a serpent-like Dragon that boomed towards me.
Hmm. That's impressive, but not enough.
"Moon Breathing: 7th Form; Moon Rupture of Annihilation"
My swift blade unleashes a swarm of energy condensed into a single horizontal strike that not only nullified his attack, 『Thunder Serpent』, but also effortlessly severed my opponent into 2 parts, as if he was butter cut by a hot knife.
This was the conclusion… I had won.
I walked towards the primordial, before picking up a small piece of his body.
There was still a trace of his essence on it.
"Ingal"
I chanted, as the essence fell to the ground.
Just as it touched the surface, it immediately started glowing before taking the shape of a human.
The light died out in a moment, leaving the newly resurrected Noir sheepishly smiling at him.
『Ingal』 was a resurrection spell I used as Anos Voldigoad in one of my incarnations.
While the spell originally required blood and the time of death to be less than 3 seconds, my energy basically blows these restrictions away.
The only reason I used his essence is because I limited my own intelligence as well so I don't want to resurrect someone other than Noir by mistake.
"Fufufu. I didn't even stand a chance, How interesting"
Going back to Noir, he looked… no, stared at me intensely which honestly made me a bit uncomfortable.
But going by his personality, I thought of something that brought a smile to his face.
I tilted the hilt of my katana to him, gesturing him of my sincere offer.
"Want to be my disciple?"
><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>< < p>
Whoosh…
A gentle breeze brushed past my face.
The Underworld was a Spiritual World did not mean that it was just a formless one, it too had similar properties of that of a material one.
My 6 eyes were greeted by the Crimson Sky of Hell, which I had now made my home, albeit temporarily.
It's been years since I took Noir as my disciple.
He is talented, much more than Rouge actually.
It only took him a few minutes to comprehend the Breath of the Moon. That being the modified version I now use.
He had also obtained some Unique skills as well, challenged me again, lost and never did again.
The other Primordials also tried challenging me, I killed them all, and send them away.
However, due to this, I had supposedly been called the Demonic Overlord in the Underworld.
Being bored I had started to roam outside the Castle after a year of coming here.
I found many lesser and greater demons, kind ones that didn't want to fight but live peacefully.
I made a city surrounding the Overlord Castle for them, and any who would disrupt that would pay with their lives.
One thing I also discovered was that there was another Primordial.
He had met the others, but always seemed to avoid me for some reason. Whelp, I don't give a fuck.
"Lord Kokushibo. The time for the Feast is near"
A daemon at my side, Magna, a Archdaemon and one of my attendants, called out.
"Hmm"
I just hummed.
I had maintained a certain image throughout the Underworld and it wasn't something which would change anytime soon.
I was the kind and funny older brother to the lesser demons born as children as well as a father to those who had travelled back in time while reincarnating.
To the guards and other citizens of my city, I was a kind and all-powerful Ruler.
To Noir, I was a playful, easygoing but sometimes strict teacher.
To the one outside, I was the Devil to avoid ever crossing path with.
To the Primordials, I was their target, the pinnacle of power they strived to be.
To those outside the Underworld though, I was nonexistent. I had kept my presence hidden from everyone outside it.
But I don't know what I am to Athena. She says that I am her first priority…
⟪That's because you are⟫
Yeah, that. But nothing beyond that. I guess her emotions are not evolved much yet.
⟪…⟫
Never mind all that, I should return now. Noir has gone to challenge the others; the city doesn't have many defenses.
I used 『Gatom』, another one of my teleportation spells as Anos Voldigoad.
Hmm. The sky looks really bright today. I thought looking at the unusually bright city.
Wait, something's not right.
I jumped up in the air, floating, to see a scene that made my blood boil.
What was once a city with daemons brimming with joy and peace, now laid waste. The bodies of the daemons, the children made my grit my teeth in anger.
I will kill you.
Huh. I suddenly felt Magna's life force weaken.
⟪Your Aura is leaking much more than normal; it is now 13 times that of Individual 'Veldanava'⟫
I quickly retract it back. I don't want to kill anymore that I have to.
I quickly gather all the souls in my hand so I could readily resurrect them later.
I also gave the mature one's perception so they could see the demise of their killer.
Sensing the strongest presence in the Area, I asked Athena if he was the one responsible.
She replied yes, saying it was the 8th Primordial, The Silver Primordial, Aspro.
Whatever, I don't care who it is. He has to pay with his life.
I flew at it with blinding speeds.
Boom…
A huge explosion at my feet erupted due to me landing just before the perpetrator.
I barely contain my rage I watch the dust scatter and Aspro's face to come into the light.
After a moment, I did see it. That face reminded me too much of HIM.
That curly silver hair, those blue eyes, there's no way I would forget that.
It was the face of a mortal, who I loathed to the highest degree.
My rage flew out of control as my vision faded into blank, stripping me of my consciousness.
That unbridled fury started to cloud my judgment as the only thing that remained in my heart was pure rage.
My mind succumbed to darkness, hearing my wrathful roar which I released, totally out of control of myself as only one world was being shouted by my soul with all my being.
