Chapter 3: Meeting the esteemed true dragon.

Me and my new best friend Mikami Satoru started to talk to each other more openly and our relationship bloomed.

"Oh, yeah, Mikami-san, do you have any of those Hipokute herbs salves/potion thingy?" I asked.

"Yeah! Great sage said they were used in healing potions and that my body could make them, so I stocked up."

"Really? Me too! I was gobbling Hipokute herbs all over the place, and that's how I met you."

As I spoke, my attention was diverted, and I was going full speed at gobbling the herbs, I didn't see a rock and got slammed to it.

"Oh, mein, Gott! Do I have a thing for getting bumped into things or what?!"

Mikami chuckled as I look at the protruding rock in front of me.

It was an oddball out of all the other black, dark coloured rocks, it was weird looking.

"Hey, Artellea. Why does this rock look like its… shinning?"

The rock was glittering.

Or I assume it is glittering and was constantly giving off light and what I think was silver dust.

<{ Announcement, extra skill; [Magic sense] has been successfully acquired. }>

My once dim and vague vision began to clear up as I saw more silver dust wafting around in the air.

"Wow… Is it normally this easy to acquire skills?"

<{ Answer. NO. It is normally hard to achieve and acquire skills but those with talent and have evolved could gain skills. Or they could usurp or copy other skills. You are rather a quite talented individual in the area of magic so, thus the result of easily sensing magicules and had acquired the skill. }>

"Hm, talent in magic… Well, I was always the type to play it safe and attack from a distance unless forced to fight in close quarters combat."

I stare back at the shinning rock and ask Arteallea.

"Hey, Artellea. Is this rock perhaps something related to magicules? I asked because it shines like the Hipokute herbs on the "back"."

<{ Answer. Yes. This "rock" is called magistone-ore that is rich with magicules. The magistone-ore formed because of the high-magicule amount in the area had pressured on the rock, and the magicule slowly integrated with the rock. Transforming it. }>

"Ore…? So, can I like to do the same with the Hipokute herbs and convert it into something more?"

<{ Answer. Yes. It could be processed in your body and be turned into a better resource called magisteel. }>

"OoOuUuhhhhh!!! Mikami-san! I found something useful again. It's something called magistone and we could process it into magisteel. Let's consume these things too! I bet if we could sell them the would be for a hefty price!"

I gobbled up half and spoke. "Ah, Mikami-san. Also, one thing. I also got a new skill that let me see more clearly! It's called [magic sense]. You can try acquiring it by trying to sense the magicules in the surroundings."

I spoke as Mikami-san bounced closer. "Really?"

"Yeah." I answered.

Mikami-san grunted while trying and finally got the skill after a few seconds

He bounced around in joy now that he could see more clearly.

"I can see!" He shouted in glee.

Boy that rhymed.

"Ah… Mikami-san. Although I know it isn't the time to disrupt your celebration, but I left half of the magi-stone-ore for you."

Mikami-san stopped bouncing and "turned" to me and spoke. "Ah, thank you, Takeda-san."

Mikami-san also gobbled up the leftover half of the magi-stone-ore and we continued our eating spree.

We came across magistones and hipokute herbs of different size and numbers.

Mikami was going on full excess eater mode and gobbling all of the stuff.

I followed his example in fierce competition of who eats more.

"I won't lose!" Mikami-san shouted. "And I won't either."

I spotted a magistone on a small-scale cliff and raced to it.

Mikami-san also chased after it as he saw it and he got there first as he was in closer distance to it.

Satoru-san pounced on it and dissolved it.

Without anything to stop his momentum, Satoru-san fell over the cliff and shouted.

"Whoa!!! WHOA!!!"

"Satoru-san!" I spoke and chased after him.

Satoru-san fell into water, and I jumped after him.

I soon met him at the bottom of the lake.

"Are you ok, Satoru-san?"

I spoke out of worry and touched his body with my slime, tentacle like appendage.

His slimy body shook and wiggled as he spoke.

"Waaahhh! Wait, what? I'm not dead yet?"

I "stared" at him with shock fully evident on my red slime body.

"Are you serious? Did you really think that slimes need to breathe?"

Satoru-san "looked away" sheepishly and spoke in thoughts.

"Well… I still have the mind of a human and not a slime SOOO…"

I just sighed and spoke.

"More importantly, how do we get out of the lake of water?"

Satoru-san's eyes lit up with a figurative light bulb pop and lit up on top of him.

"Oh, I know! We ingest some of the water and then push it out again! It'll propel us out of the water."

I stare at him with relief, at least he has some other redeeming qualities.

Like being a good and healthy relationship friend.

He had kept me smiling since we had met.

"Well, let's try it then. On the count of 1, 2, 3, well ingest water and push it out at the same time."

"1."

"2."

"3."

I ingest a large amount of water to make sure that I had enough propulsion to make it across the lake.

I blow it out in time together with Mikami-san and got pushed off to the surface.

"This is fun!"

I shout in joy and excitement of gliding on the water at high speeds.

"Yeah!"

Satoru-san shouted back in agreement.

<<{ Skill; [Water propulsion], successfully acquired. }>

As we approach the shore of the lake I wanted to slow down, but then it hit me.

"I can't slow down!"

I shouted in panic as Satoru-san hit the shore first and went flying off to who knows where.

I soon hit the shore and only bounce as I managed to stop my momentum from the water propulsion.

"Satoru-san!" I shout and chase off to where I felt his magicule presence was.

I abruptly stopped as I saw Satoru's figure, and that of another being.

A… A dragon.

A very, very large dragon.

It stood towering over us with its majestic form.

The dragon spread it's wing of intimidation and let out a thundering roar.

"HAHAHAHAHAHA! I am one of the only 4 true dragons! Storm dragon, Veldora!"

"Well, I'm speechless."

<x>-<x>-<x>-<x>-<x>-<x>-<x>-<x>-<x>-<x>-<x>-<x>

Okay, I'm going to name how they could call each other and still not be named.

Firstly, they are unnamed by default and they don't really recognise it as their "real name" as the world's will gives that to monsters, and only when one actually acknowledges it.

Secondly, I don't fricking have other reasons it's not even funny.

Creation is hard, cheer me up!
