CHAPTER -3 RESCUE OPERATION AND NEW PERSONA

//CHRISTINA POV//

After telling grandma the truth I fell asleep when I woke up I was already at home that night after a lovely dinner with mama and papa. I was alone in my room. I decided to add another safety net for Big Brother Marcus, I used <unique skill- THE EDITOR> to manipulate information partical made <rare skill - long distance sensing> as I left some of my magicules in Big Brother Marcus while giving him {protection} I can sense him even from my house I will be able to guess his location and teleport their with help of grandma, oh I need to create skill that can transfer my memories to grandma so she can cast {teleportation} spell, I have tried to learn it but my knowledge is still too shallow to learn advanced tier magic, I again instinctively. manipulated information particles and created < rare skill- memory magic> after creating this two skills I felt pressure inside my soul and I blacked out from over exertion in using <UNIQUE SKILL -THE EDITOR>.

//NEXT MORNING//

Next morning when I came to be I was feeling great headache but I still completed morning training with grandpa and afternoon training with grandma when my training of day ended. " Grandma can I sleep with you until Big Brother Marcus comes back." I asked her without any hesitation.

"Why?" Grandma asked with confused tone. " I am worried! He is weaker than me! And someone that is stronger than me can be present their!?" I said in exasperated tone, I can't fathom how weak sense of crisis is for people of this world , when I first came to this world I saw in same light as novel or game world but after interacting with people of this world I knew that this is not game and once someone dies it is end for them, though I will still become adventurer to see world I will try to see this world realistically as possible when planning any adventure or quest. After sighing at me , " Chris that may be true when it came to raw power, but skill wise you are almost equal." She explained I was surprised at such a high evaluation from her, " but, you can stay here if that's what calms you down." She said calmly "yippee!" I excitedly shouted and hugged her she only smiled at my actions, after this I studied some magic tomes, after which I slept in the same bed as grandma while grandpa grumbled and slept in an adjacent room.

//Next Day night//

The night of the next day I detected that {protection} was activated I panicked and ran towards where grandma was

" Protection have broken! Marcus is in danger!!" I shouted in a panicked voice.

"What!?" Even my grandma was surprised, " we don't have time I will share his location plz cast {teleportation}." I said as I hurriedly took her hand and shared my memory via which she can transport us to Marcus's location, even though she was surprised she was a veteran adventurer she calmed down and began casting {teleportation}, " [protection] that I bestowed to Marcus have power to nullify 1 fatal attack every 5minutes but if someone manages to land second fatal hit before 5 minutes are over it won't activate!" I explained to grandma she nodded and completed the {teleportation} spell, suddenly I felt weightlessness and nausea but I shook my head and used {magic sense} to sense my surroundings, I felt at least 30 people surrounding our area most of them seemed to have sensed us while we were "Christina be sharp this place have quiet bit strong presence all over the place." Grandma said in a calm but serious tone, I nodded and focused on finding Marcus! After the scanning area of grandma found him I could also feel he is in combat with two most powerful enemies , I hurriedly followed grandma while using <UNIQUE SKILL -THE EDITOR> to edit my appearance to the same as my appearance from my past life grandma just looked at me " you could even change your appearance ha!" She said in an exasperated voice we reached him while marcus was in a pinch as he desperately avoided the man's bastard sword and was about to be finished off when the magician recovered and used simple {quick sand} when swordsman was just inch away from lopping Marcus's head grandma casted {shield} on him while I accelerated and appeared in blind spot of swords man with {undetectable} setting I lopped his sword hand in clean.

All this happened so fast that the magician was petrified, grandma wasn't going to let this chance slip she casted {fire lance} without any chants or hesitation and magician head was also loped I felt nauseas but I crushed that feeling and nodded towards grandma who was looking at me worriedly while completely ignoring screaming swordman, I couldn't help but sigh in relief at successfull rescue.

//Marcus POV//

I could only look at the result of deadly combat with fascination the people who were formidable opponents for me were slain in a matter of seconds by lady Angelica and strange young lady, I was already surprised when lady Angelica appeared here out of nowhere with other lady and saved my life the way she moved for brief movement and how beautiful she was I was completely mesmerized and couldn't help but gawk at her. After that lady Angelica finished of both leader and magician the stranger looked nauseas at this but didn't say anything , After that she remained with me to propabaly interogate leader slaver while lady Angelica went to help around if help was needed while I continued to observe exotically beautiful stranger with all my attention. I shook my head and almost reflexively asked her " mam , I will go and rescue all people they have kidnapped." I could swear she looked confused at first then nodded, I searched this base and freed all slaves and led them outside while stranger was still inside and I could hear screams of pain from leader , at first I thought to stop her from killing him but when I looked inside the hall I could see he wasn't being physically harmed he was just tourtured, I shuddered at his screams and came out to discuss what to do next with all of senior adventurers.

//Christina POV//

While grandma was helping other adventurers I went to leader bandit/slaver, "{heal}" I sealed his wound with magic, he stood up and tried to reach his sword I calmly used <UNIQUE SKILL -THE AUTHOR> and made setting to my touch { unbearable pain when I touch someone} and calmly grasped his other hand, he screamed I could see he was in quite a lot of pain but I couldn't care about him he is someone who does terrible things for his own greed he raped young girls and sold them in slavery I could see that by using {memory magic} , I have already read his memory and knew what type of person he was " so care to tell me who is behind all this?" I asked despite knowing the answer I did this for only one reason we can use this mercenary who is fairly famous, to deal with those absolute scum of nobles in kings court I will use this pain to force him to give a true statement in court this will make it easy to deal with them, as current king of Gracia Kingdom which I live in is wise ruler who is against slavery I have heard it from grandma so I am sure we could trust him. I gave him hell after that and almost broke him, I threatened him " if you don't confess in front of king during trial I will make sure you live your entire life in this pain."
