Chapter 31.2 : Madness

As she stared at the ceiling above her, which seemed to be full of eyes, all of which stared directly at her, Diana felt a sense of defeat go through her mind.

No matter where Diana looked, whether it was the ceiling, walls, or even the Joestars, who were all clearly still here, all that Diana saw were shapes covered by eyeballs.

For some reason though, even though the world seemed to have surrounded her, this deep feeling of defeat did not seem to want to linger within Diana's mind.

No, instead, this feeling began transforming into something else, something more raw, as well as much more dangerous.

Anger.

At first, Diana only felt a deep anger towards the eye, but as time passed, Diana discovered the fact a lot more things actually made her angry.

From her incompetent subordinates, who could not do anything right, to herself, who even after all that had happened, to even the entire world, and existence itself, which seemed to want to place roadblocks.

The more Diana sunk into her thoughts, as well as her anger, the angrier Diana became, creating a cycle, a very dangerous cycle, that could only lead to a single thing.

Even more anger.

'How dare it...?'

As they stared at the Diana, who was simply lying down on her bed, staring at the ceiling above her, even the Joestars, who had not felt any sort of fear in a pretty long time, thanks to their apparent immortality, couldn't help but be a bit concerned as they stared at Diana, who was just lying there.

...

After staring at the ceiling for about five minutes, Diana couldn't help but finally raise her hand above her head, and stare at it instead, having seemingly grown bored by the endless eyes above her.

Unlike everything around it, Diana's hand did not have any sort of eyes around it, and was seemingly free of the curse of incomprehensibly eye.

But even though this was the case, this did not mean that Diana's anger was gone, far from that.

Instead, Diana's anger, which was previously directed at the outside world, was not concentrated on herself.

Why was she so idiotic?

Why was she so unprepared?

Why was she so... weak?

A moment later, Diana suddenly clenched her fist with her entire strength, causing all windows in the entire hospital, as well as the dozen or so surrounding buildings, to suddenly shatter.

...

"She's really gone insane..." mumbled Josuke as he stared at Diana, who was lying down on the bed with some pity in his voice.

After hearing the words of the Joestar, Diana could not help but begin laughing, causing the other Joestars to fall silent.

As they watched Diana simply stare at Josuke and laugh for over a minute, the Joestars felt a bit confused.

By the time ten minutes had passed, and Diana had not stopped laughing, the Joestars felt concerned, knowing that something was wrong.

After around an hour, that concern of the Joestar's transformed into straight-up fear, as they began wondering why nobody had entered the room by now, unaware of the pile of unconscious nurses and doctors outside the room.

No matter what the other Joestars, or even Josuke himself said, Diana would not stop, and would not even acknowledge their words in the slightest.

In the end, Diana stood there laughing at Josuke for over 24 hours, when she finally stopped, with a smile still present on her face.

"Although I'm not yet sure about the other right now, I finally realized why you have come here, Josuke," said Diana with a black look on her face.

"You've come to haunt me..." said Diana as she suddenly appeared in front of Josuke and gabbed him straight by the face and raised him above her.

By now, everything had returned to normal around Diana, as every eye had disappeared, well except for 2.

As she stared right into Josuke's 2 eyes, which morphed from 2 human eyes into an eye that she was very familiar with, Diana faintly smiled.

A moment later, Diana suddenly crushed Josuke's face, causing a shocked look to appear on the faces of the other Joestars.

Up until now, no matter how much the Joestars, including Josuke, were damaged by Diana, none of them had shed even a little bit of blood, but right now, as she stared at the bloody corpse of Josuke that was lying down on the floor below her, with his 2 non-human eyes still staring at her, seemingly alive, Diana couldn't help but begin laughing again.

A moment later, Diana's leg suddenly smashed down, causing the illusions that were the other Joestars to suddenly disappear from around Diana, leaving her alone.

In the end though, Diana was not alone for very long, as just a few moments after she fully crushed Josuke, a hand suddenly appeared in front of Diana, which she then crushed, followed by another, as well as another and another.

No matter how many monsters Diana crushed to pieces, more followed, in an ever-increasing number.

After around five minutes, so many monsters were pouring in front of Diana, only to be crushed, that a hole large enough for Diana to pass through had appeared, allowing the latter to get a better look at where the monsters were coming from.

...

As she stared at the scene in front of her, at the endless sea of monsters that went onto infinity, filled with an endless number of monsters dying and being birthed every single moment, all of them eating each other because of their lack of food, Diana couldn't help but raise her head above all this and stare at something.

An eye, staring at both Diana, and at the endless sea of monsters, uncaring about either of them.

But as she stared at the eye above her, Diana couldn't help but smile, she couldn't help but become happy.

"You're no god," mumbled Diana as she stared at the eye above her, causing her to suddenly jump upwards with strength that went beyond even her normal strength, bordering into the realm of the illogical and incomprehensible
