DREW

Tavi found me pacing my office floor, after another disastrous afternoon.

“It looks like we were not able to reach an out-of-court settlement,” she said, perching on the edge of my desk, the sun’s rays casting shadows across her perfect, delicate features. “Opposing counsel had given us until next Wednesday to talk Camille into accepting their offer.”

“Allowing her to take all her clothing items is not much of an offer,” I scoffed, staring outside the window and watching the rush hour traffic.

“He bought them, so he thinks he’s being gracious,” she laughed softly. “Where were you last night?”

“Home. Why?”

“You had company?”

“No…” I trailed off, uneasiness sweeping over me. Did she know? How could she have possibly found out?

Every muscle in my body stiffened as she shut the door and walked across the room to stand in front of me. “Care to explain why you sent me this?” She raised her phone and showed me a picture in the gallery.

I gasped. “Where did you get that?”
