I guess he is here. But he never knocks, he bloody have the key to the house ! Why would he knock ? I rushed and opened the door...

I can't believe my eyes.

" Amber Goodwill ! "

I said surprised.

" Um... I am sorry, do I know you ? "

Amber asked, obviously confused.

" No, you don't... But I do ! "

I said.

Kevin stopped her questions.

I said robotically.

Amber said confused as for what to respond at my words.

" Mmmm... that's some delicious smell ! Steve come downstairs, Kevin brought us some delicious smelling snack ! "

Daniel came from nowhere.

Amber panicked at his words.

Kevin said glaring at Daniel and reassured her.

" What ? Then why bring a bleeding human in a house full of vampires ? "

Steve questioned cocking his head.

" Relax guys, she is our guest. "

I calmed the heating up situation.

" I don't like guests ! I am going to have my snack, care to join me Steve ? "

Daniel said like a toddler throwing tantrums.

" Sure as hell, brother. Let's go. "

Steve joined him and they left.

" Please, don't mind them. They are not fond of humans as friends. Welcome in. "

I said turning to Amber.

" Thank-you, Ethan. "

Amber said.

" Come, I'll show you your room to rest. Rest assured, nothing wrong will happen. "

Kevin reassured her again.

" She needs to be treated first, brother. "

I told Kevin.

" Yes, you are right, brother. Come love, I'll dress your wounds. "

Kevin said taking her to the room.

" Or your blood might be alright as well ! "

I interrupted.

" I don't wanna scare her on her first day, brother ! So, conventional way is best for now. "

Kevin said and took her in the extra room we had in our place.

The way she is being nice to him, I am sure as hell he didn't told her the truth ! She needs to know about it. I know my brother, he won't tell her on his own. I'll have to make him tell her !

She might be hungry so, I cooked some soup for her and knocked at the door.

" What do you want ? "

Kevin yelled irritated.

" I've brought her soup, I assumed she'd be hungry. "

I said.

" Oh, thank-you Ethan. I was about to ask him for some food. I am starving ! "

Amber said smiling.

" That's no problem at all. Have some and rest, good night. Kevin we need to talk. "

I stood in the door and said crossing my arms.

" As you can see, I am busy with her... "

I know he got what I have to talk about just he is trying to avoid me.

" After she sleeps, we NEED TO TALK ! "

I told him firmly, closed the door and left.

I didn't wait for his response and shut the door at his face. I am sure it'll hurt his ego and he'll storm to me, once she is asleep !

As I was waiting for him, I was thinking about her. She is exceptionally beautiful. I just want to keep gazing at her and adore her. Her eyes are so innocent just as her looks.

She is suffering and she needs stability and love in her life. I am so willing to give her that; if Kevin let me !

" How dare you close the door on me ? "

As expected !

He stormed screaming at me.

" It was HER, you were following ? When are you gonna tell her ? "

I asked him.

" Tell her what ? "

He tried to sound oblivious.

" You very well know what I am talking about, brother. "

I said.

" Don't you... "

Kevin tried to threaten me.

" You MUST tell her ! "

I kept on my words.

He again tried to threaten me.

" If you won't, I will ! "

I said raising my voice.

" If you dared, I'll kill you, Ethan ! "

He said coldly.

" I don't care. She needs to know. It's her right to know ! "

I said firmly.

" They were already almost dead ! "

Kevin screamed frustrated.

" So it be. It doesn't give you the right to hide the truth form her ! "

I said.

" I love her ! If she came to know... She'll never accept my love. And I don't want that to happen. Not after I've met her again ! "

Kevin said clenching his teeth furiously.

" If she came to know it later, she'll call you traitor and leave you ! Better, tell her now and gain some... "

I was trying to make some sense when he interrupted me.

" Keep your morals to yourself, brother ! I am NOT gonna tell her ! "

Kevin said hissing at me.

" You must or I am gonna... "

I said raising my voice.

" Why do you care so much about her knowing the truth, huh ? "

Kevin screamed, loosing his patience.

" I've always been like this, brother. The truth keeper ! "

I said calmly.

" Or is it something else, BROTHER ! "

He said accusing me.

" What ? "

I asked confused.

" You want her, don't you ? "

He said.

" No I don't ! "

I exclaimed.

" Yes you do ! That's why you so desperately want me to tell her the truth so, she should hate me and you get her ! I got your evil plan, Ethan. You won't ever succeed in it ! "

Kevin said coldly.

" You are out of your mind, Kevin ! Just tell her the damn truth. If she came to know after she starts liking you, it'll break her ! "

I tried to make him understand the situation he can face in future.

"And that's she'll never know about it. If she won't know, she'll never hate me ! "

Kevin tried to defend his wrong behavior.

" Kevin... "

I said tired to get him understand but he didn't listen.

" End of the discussion, Ethan ! "

Kevin said dismissing me.

" You'll regret this brother ! "

I said.

" Unless YOU betray me, brother ! "

He said glaring at me and stormed away.

Why doesn't he understands ? Approaching her with all truth will improve his chances with her. He doesn't have to lie to her !

If he firmly says, it was an accident then, he doesn't need to worry about anything ! I guess, I'll have to keep my mouth shut or he'll think I did because I wanted her...

I do love her but I won't steal her from my brother. He's fallen for someone after centuries. He deserves to be happy as well. I won't be the hurdle between him and his love.

But I am concerned about when, she'll find out and leave him, what will he do ? How will he be saved ?
