No regrets for eternity now

I was busy in my life here being the most fearsome Alpha and everybody being afraid of me !

Though, my emotions were off; I was missing my home, the people lived there !

The calm and sorted Steve. Most irritating creature, Daniel. My backbone, my true supporter, my caretaker and much more than just a brother; Ethan.

And finally, last but not the least; the love of my life, Amber !

It's happening for the first time ever. I've turned my emotions off many times to get away from guilt and loneliness and never missed anything in my life; but this is something I've never felt !

What's happening ? Why am I missing them and want to go back to them ?

" Alpha, the pack...

Um, are you... Crying ? "

My beta asked.

I touched my cheeks to feel wetness there ! What the hell ? Am I really crying ? I turned around and wiped those tears and then faced him.

I'll come back after sometime. "

He said.

" Your brother is here. "

I asked confused.

There was no way Ethan came here. Why would he come here ?

I said.

I went to our guest room where Ethan was waiting and my beta stayed outside.

" What brings you here, brother ? "

I asked directly.

I asked him again.

Ethan said playing with his cufflinks.

" I can hear the most minute thing, just to remind you, you know. "

I said sarcastically.

" Amber needs to talk to you. "

Ethan said.

" Does she now ? Last time I heard, she didn't wanted me to show her my face ! What happened suddenly ? "

I asked.

" May be she changed her mind ! "

Ethan said casually.

" You are hiding something from me, brother ! "

I said.

" No, I am not. She said she wanted to tell you something extremely important and of your interest ! "

" What possibly it could be ? "

I said trying to get him tell me.

" You'll get to know when, you will go to her and talk to her. "

Ethan said responding exactly the way I expected him to !

" No, you don't look like a toddler to me, brother ! But she really wants to talk to you. "

Ethan said finishing my line.

" If, it was that important for her, why not come here and tell me ? "

I asked shrugging.

" You didn't heard me right brother, she said it was important and of YOUR interest not hers ! And anyways, she couldn't travel. "

Ethan said.

" Why should I believe you ? "

I asked.

" Your choice ! I told you she have something of your interest. It's completely upto you what do you wanna do ? I haven't forced you to do anything. "

Ethan said manipulating me.

I hate him for this ! He do know what does she have to tell me but he won't tell me ! And what does he mean, she couldn't travel ?

" I'll take your leave now. Think and do whatever you find right. Bye. "

Ethan said.

He turned around to leave. I know him way too much, he wouldn't have come all way here just to tell me she have something to tell if, it was something stupid.

What should I do ? What harm it will cause me to go with him ? I have been there. It's my home. I loved that woman more than my life. My own brother came to receive me.

" Wait ! I'll come with you. "

I said.

He turned around and smirked at me !

" I knew, you'll come with me. You can never tolerate something hidden from you ! "

Ethan said teasing me.

" Yeah yeah, now shut up ! Wait here, I'll tell my beta and be back. "

I told him that, I was going with Ethan for few days and be back soon.

He wanted to wait for the flight, which was scheduled tomorrow morning ! But I can't wait that long. I'd rather run back home than, waiting for flight and do nothing.

So, we ran back and reached home way earlier than the bloody flight would have took us.

I don't know why but my heart was beating fast. I was so excited to know what it could be ? I couldn't wait anymore I went ahead of Ethan and knocked at the door.

Daniel opened the door. And again, I don't know why but I felt good to see him !

" Oh, WHY are you here ? "

Daniel said.

" Excuse me ? "

I said telling him to correct himself.

" I meant, Oh you are here ! Steve look who's here. Wel come him. "

Daniel said calling Steve.

Steve came and smiled at me and I couldn't help but smile back at him. What's wrong with me ? Why am I being so soft hearted ?

" Welcome home, father ! "

Steve said winking at me.

" What ? I am not your father ! "

I said rolling my eyes.

Is he stupid ? Why would he say that ?

I was eagerly waiting to see Amber but she wasn't anywhere to be found. I scanned the room for her. Ethan kept his hand on my shoulder,

" She is in your room. "

Ethan said.

What ? Why would she be there ? She regretted what happened between us a few weeks ago and now she is in my room ? And Ethan is ok with it ?

I looked at Ethan and he signed me to go upstairs. I slowly went up to my room where she was waiting for me and only god knows to tell me what ?

I knocked at the door and no response came. I was growing impatient to know and she not opening the door only increased it more !

I knocked again but she didn't answered even then ! I was done being patient.

" Amber ? You there ? "

I asked.

She didn't responded.

She is getting on my nerves now. Is she even in there ?

" Love ? You there ? I am coming in. "

I said.

I opened the door and she was sitting on the bed holding something in her hand and staring at it. What is she staring at ?

I went close to her and kneeled before her.

" Love, what's wrong ? "

I asked.

She looked at me and turned the thing towards me.

What is it ? Something rectangular strip with two pink vertical lines on it. I have never seen anything like that before in my existence.

Just what is it ?

" What is it, love ? "

I asked in confusion and she was surprised to listen to me.

She was looking at me like she was listening something aline.

" You don't know what it is ? "

Amber asked in disbelief.

" No love, I have no idea about it. "

I told her.

" It's a pregnancy test kit. "

Amber told me.

" What ? And why are you holding it ? "

I asked.

" I am... I am pregnant ! "

Amber said.

Amber wispered softly.

I was so shocked I couldn't say anything. I couldn't think what to say. I was processing it for a long time. What is she saying ? Is she sure it's my baby ?

" Kevin? Kevin ! You ok ? "

She asked.

She put her hand on my shoulder. I looked up at her.

I wispered shocked.

" I don't know. Even I was shocked when I discovered it. "

Tears gathered in my eyes and she became blur. I was smiling in happiness. I was...

I can't express the joy I was feeling.

I am going to become father !

My biggest regret is about to fade away. Oh my god, I don't know how to react. I was about to get up and spin her around...

But is SHE happy ? I reached my hand and cupped her face,
