First magic

" Evelyn, come to granny, baby. "

I called her and that sweet lovely creature walked to me.

Everyone is worried about how long she'd be with us considering the rate at which she is growing. Just a few months old baby can't walk ! Let alone walk, it can't crawl properly.

But she is walking and running around the house and making Everyone walk and run behind her to save her from hurting herself or feeding her or giving her the medicines !

She is not only growing fast physically. Her mental development is fast as well. She understands all the emotions and act accordingly.

She is way too smart for her age. I know the reason but I just don't want to tell and scare Amber.

But that doesn't mean I will hide it from her. I am just waiting for her to ask me. She needs to know so many things she is oblivious about.

And not just any things, surprising and shocking ones !

I picked Evelyn up in my arms and took her to the garden. I want her to spend time with nature and understand it and know it's our best friend and not to harm it.

We were standing infront the fountain which, Kevin had setup in the center of the garden.

I love to be in the presence of water and I love to listen to the sound of flowing water. Ethan promised me to build me a cottage close to the river side so, I can visit it whenever I wanted.

Evelyn got used to watch me perform magic by now and so, me doing anything doesn't surprise her; she just gets curious about how did I do that !

" Do you want to see the water forming a wall instead of flowing as a sprinkle, dear ? "

I asked her.

Her eyes lit up and she nodded and started clapping happily and her reaction made me smile.

I put her down on the soft grass and closing my eyes, I casted the spell and slowly raised my hands upwards. And with my hands, the water from the fountain rose up and formed a wall.

Evelyn started giggling and jumping at the sight. Listening to her giggle and laugh, everyone came to see what is she so happy for ?

" Wow, mother ! That's amazing ! "

Amber said happily.

Evelyn ran to her and she picked her up in her arms and kissed her cheeks.

" Granny loves only Eve ! She does everything for her and not for anyone else. "

Amber said teasing me.

" What do you want me to do ? "

I asked smiling.

" I want to see the butterflies mother ! I have requested you so many times but you haven't done that for me and you are showing her your magic without her asking for it ! "

Amber said pouting like a sulking child.

" Evelyn, sometimes I just wonder who is the kid in this house ! "

I said tousling Amber's hair.

Everyone laughed with me and Eve pouted angrily and hugged her mother as if, she was angry at us for making fun of her mother.

" We aren't making fun of your mom, honey. Granny is just kidding. "

Steve said caressing her head but she turned her face away from him.

" It's ok baby. Learn magic from Granny and when, you will do it, let only me see it and nobody else, is that alright ? "

Amber said kissing her forehead and trying to make her let go of her anger.

I must say, the girl have picked up her father's anger ! She gets angry so quickly on minute things as well !

But at the same time, she have the compassion and soft heart just as her mother and father.

When everyone held their ears apologizing her mother then only she smiled.

Such a drama queen !

I casted the spell and turned the leaves and flowers into hundreds of butterflies. Everyone was happy to see them and when they were done admiring them, I turned them again into leaves and flowers.

When everyone was busy discussing how exciting and amazing that experience was, our little Eve was sitting on the soft grass and moving her tiny fingers in circles above the ground very focused.

She moved them for a while and she created a tiny tornado and shrieked in happiness.

I was so shocked to watch her create that tiny tornado. I didn't know I wouldn't have to teach her the basics of magic !

When she shrieked, everyone ran to see what happened. But they couldn't see as she started clapping and her tiny fingers let go of the tornado.

" What is it, baby ? What happened ? "

Ethan picked her up panicked and started searching for any injuries.

She couldn't stop smiling and clapping. She looked at me and I grinned at her. She started struggling in Ethan's arms to come to me.

I took her in my arms and she hugged me.

" Yes my child, you did it yourself ! "

I said smiling proudly.

" What is it mother ? What happened ? "

Kevin asked confused.

" She did her first magic on her own without my help. Your daughter is a borne witch Amber ! "

I said happily.

But Amber didn't seemed happy with the discovery.

May be she was expecting her daughter to be a normal girl.

But when, she has the ancestry of witches from both of her parent's sides, how could she not be a witch ?
