Emotional evening

Mother was telling the story we never knew took place !

And it was so painful to listen to her. Though, I had never hated her for not helping Kevin out; but I did misunderstood her behavior as a careless mother towards her son, not having her husband as his biological father !

And now, that I know what she had faced, I am embarrassed for thinking so lowly of her !

" I am so sorry my child, I couldn't help you even if, I wanted to ! It killed me to watch him torcher you every single day and I was so helpless that, I couldn't do anything !

I cursed myself for having you and then, let you at HIS mercy ! But I endured it for you because he had blackmailed me that if, I helped you against his will, he will kill you !

And that thought stopped me from helping you.

So, I made Ethan be with you and told him that, he must never leave your side no matter what !

And luckily, you had loved him since his birth and so, he didn't felt loving you back as a compulsion I put on him !

Whenever I left the home alone, the fear of him hurting you physically behind my back, never left me !

I was sick and tired of being in the constant fear and so, turning you into an immortal crossed my mind !

I turned you and Ethan didn't wanted to be left alone and so, he tagged along.

The fear of him hurting you physically, ended but he didn't stopped hurting you verbally !

Just like I got rid of the fear of physical pain, loosing the verbal one too crossed my mind and I... "

Mother stopped midway looked down.

" You what mother? "

Kevin asked before me desperately.

" Do you remember when did you lost your father ? "

She asked raising her eyebrows.

" The day you were buried by the other witches. "

I said.

" And how did HE die ? "

She asked.

" Of Heart-attack ! "

Kevin said.

" What CAUSED the heart attack ? "

She asked again.

Where is she taking us ? Is she trying to say...

" Don't tell me YOU killed that bastard ! "

Kevin said doubtfully.

Mother didn't said anything just looked at both of us and then down.

" You...

You killed him for...

Me ? "

Kevin wispered in shock.

Mother looked at him and tears rolled down their cheeks and Kevin ran to her.

She hugged him tightly and kissed him all over his face. As far as I remember, this is the first time Kevin hugged her !

" I am so sorry mother, I got you wrong and blamed you for almost an eternity !

I know it's impossible to forgive such a rascal son but please forgive me. I didn't know what had you faced BECAUSE of me and what did you do FOR me and my well-being !

Please forgive me mother and don't leave me now. I had wasted an immeasurable time hating you when, there wasn't any of your fault !

Now, let me love you for all the lost time. Please, mother I beg of you, don't leave me.

I have found you after so long and now that I have got you, don't snatch it from me ! Love me and let me love you back mother, please ! "

Kevin said crying in her arms.

" You don't have to apologize to me, my child. I was never mad at you in the first place and so, there is no need of me forgiving you !

And about not leaving, I am sorry. But I HAVE to ! I am fade up of my pathetic life and don't want to continue it.

I am sorry my child. I must go now. Let me have some peace ! "

Mother said caressing his head.

I went to them and hugged them tightly.

" You are NOT leaving us mother ! "

Kevin said firmly to her.
