Playing Snub

Esmeralda walked into the lobby and headed for the private elevator when Kain called her.

'I need you at the suite ASAP.' He ordered and cut the line. Esmeralda growled and entered the elevator. She arrived at the VIP lounge and headed straight into Kain's office without bothering to stop at her office and set down her things. She walked into the suite but she didn't see Kain in the living room. She walked to the bedroom but he wasn't there. She walked up to the window in the room and noticed that the window would give anyone a clear view of her room.

"That bastard" she growled under her breath.

"What was that?" Kain's voice made her jump out of her skins. She turned and looked at him crossly. He looked back at her and walked up to her slowly. He smiled and made to caress her cheek but she back away.

"You really take joy in doing that don't you?" she asked and made to the door.
