Tall boy

It watched as the bugs crawled upon the bark of the great tree in fascination. The bug was a new one unlike any it had seen before. Twin wings and a chitinous body that for its size must have made it very hard to kill. That combined with its ability to be squashed under large forces has caused it to name the bug a Beetle Knight in honor of the knight ogrim and his ability's with the nail.

Of course it couldn't stay watching for too long else it's aura would start to set in and cause problems for the surrounds so it set off once more in its exploration. Which is how it came across the pink things that spoke in a strange language.

They pointed at it with weirdly shaped nails and talons. Of course it was very curious of these strange creatures what with there obvious expanded minds and ability to communicate. Hopefully there stories would be wond-

A small tap was felt on his left horn as a small projectile bounced off it. Looking down and picking up the thing it could feel the silence in the air from the pink things. Not from his aura but something else.

Thos were side thoughts though as he looked upon the thing that had the head of a nail, and a body of wood and flaxen. It then looked upon were the projectile had come from, a slender pink thing with a object of wood and a silkish material. The quiver of more of the projectiles hung From her back and as it studied the object and looked upon the projectiles compression struck like a lightning bolt.

It had been attacked, and not from any action of its own but seemingly because it simply was there in front of them. Finally the silence ended as another pink thing yelled at the rest in there wierd language and as it did so the rest seemed to come out of there stupor.

As they did so it could see the look in what it assumed were there eyes. That of want for combat and bloodshed. It knew these things well from its time in Hallownest, and if these pink things which it has dubbed Luma's based on there deflecting of the suns light would attack it for no discernible reason it would show them the error of there ways.

To say he was terrified is like saying steak tastes good, true but not the full story. When he had taken this job it had mainly been to grab up some parts of this apparently new magical beast so he could pay to get a ride out of Belzerg.

Of course for Arthur lindane things never went right and the creature wasn't at all what they had expected. We're most of them thought it would be some kind of animal that had finally gotten a magical variant the thing itself wasn't that at all.

At what he guessed was ten foot tall, and with a stark white mask and giant horns the things was very intimidating. That combined with the obvious sword on its back of superior make, and void like skin and eye holes painted a very bad picture. Which is why when that damned archer had shot the thing he had wanted to ring her neck.

Considering everything that was now happening he was 100% sure he would if when the fighting started the first thing it did was seemingly teleport to her location and run her all the way through with its sword. Things had only developed from there.

It quickly became obvious whatever it was the thing knew how to fight with skill, speed, and power. As proven by it taking on everyone that came at it with apparently zero hesitation. With a flick of its sword one man would have his throat cut all the way to the bone, the next strike would find another man desperately trying to hold in his innards as the armor he had clad himself in offered no resistance.

An archer would try his or her best to fire upon the thing only to find a second later the thing could use some form of magic as a black tentacle of something shot from its hand to wrap up said archer and squeeze them until they were nothing more than meat dropped onto the ground.

mages would try and hit it with every spell they knew, with even a blue haired arch-priest hitting it with greater turn undead. Which did cause a reaction the thing in causing it to look at said priest and try to run them through only for a male party member to just barely pull her out of the way and pull out some kind of device that teleported him and the rest of his apparent party out of there as quickly as possible.

Eventually though our numbers started to become apparent. After all almost every single adventurer from Belzerg was here to try and make a quick buck, and while yes the city wasn't what it once was there were still over two hundred adventures with many of them of a high level because of the search for what thing could have caused the silence.

So with increasing speed they started to gain the advantage as hits started to land on the thing causing small cuts to appear on the skin. Not enough to be noticeable for long and obviously not crippling, but enough to rally the group. That was until the thing did something he and the rest of the group didn't expect.

It R̶̭̦͔̯͙͚͎̪͎̻͙̟̼̘̪̓͊́̄̒̈͑̔͘͠͠͝͝ơ̸̘̺̤̮͔͎̙̫͙̗̂̽́̎̊̎̿̽͐̊̋̏̑͠ă̶̙̩̫̫͉̘̩̥͘͜r̵̢̥̩͖͍̼̣̦̘̻̓͗̑͆̄è̶̡̛̘̳͕̥̰̘̿̐̅̈́̒̓d̷͎̖̖̞̼͇̞̮̹͖̫̓̓ and the world stopped as silence descended, bugs, animals, and all things not human or that thing disappeared before there eyes seemingly fading away into nothing. Then it was over and sound and life were once again apart of the world, and the thing was gone with no one able to find it.
