Well Known Stranger

Lin Cian walked to the area where the hunters cooked some food with the firewood. Seeing Lin Cian the young man who was in a coma widened his eyes in disbelief. Knowing that the young man was staring at him Lin Cian stared back into his eyes to make him shut his mouth.

The young maiden who accompanied him stood up "thank you, for saving our lives, I am Dhalia and this is my husband Kuo Jian" her face showed an expression of gratitude and the face of Kuo Jian expressed the same. Lin Cian who was already expecting it smiled at them nonchalantly. Moving to his right he grabbed some food and walked away to somewhere.

Everyone who knew Lin Cian's manners would say that he was disappointed in something but only Kuo Jian knew why he is disappointed. Seeing everything Kuo Jian stood up "I will get some air and refresh myself" he walked in the direction of Lin Cian after smiling and gesturing something to his wife.

William understood what was going on but to not let anyone find it from him he act surprised.

Lin Cian walked to the house where he slept the last night and started to chew the pieces of flesh in his mouth. Knowing that he was angry Kuo Jian entered the room but Lin Cian didn't respond or react. He walked to Lin Cian, "brother" his tone resembled his heart that was longing for acceptance.

Lin Cian let go a sigh and moved to his right to make a space for his brother to sit. Understanding that his brother has accepted him Kuo Jian happily sat on the bed and his joyous face looked turned to Lin Cian who was grinding nonchalantly. Lin Cian didn't open his mouth but looked at him; Kuo Jian understand what it means.

Two years ago:

Madrid town, the island of Romodo, Entire world province, Continental Abyss;

It was during a mission Kuo Jian set out for a mission from the Stargazing academy to the Madrid town for hunting a demon. It was hard yet worth trying because of the abundance of the reward.

During the mission, Kuo Jian and his teammates were attacked by the demon out of the blue. Kuo Jian acted quickly and killed the demon but was found to be nowhere. His teammates searched for him for days but were disappointed by the results and returned to the academy as the mission was successful.

Kuo Jian opened his eyes in the middle of nowhere as he was inside a house lying on a bed while his body was covered with bandages. A young woman came into the room and smiled at him seeing that he was awake. She didn't let him go until he was fully healed but before he was healed Kuo Jian fell in love with the young woman. Hiding it deep in his heart he went to the academy after a few months.

Even after returning to the academy, Kuo Jian couldn't calm himself because he could see the vivid images of the young woman whom he secretly admired calling him to be with her. His young mind begged him to look for her. finally, Kuo Jian set out to look for her after a year but when he confessed his love to the young woman she rejected him and asked him to go away from her.

Kuo Jian who know she was lying secretly watched her without her concern and saved her twice from danger hence becoming friends. After a few days, she admitted that she loved Kuo Jian but she once again asked him to get away from her.

Kuo Jian reluctantly asked her for her reason to reject him but she blurted out some nonsense resulting in Kuo Jian kissing her. She cried not because Kuo Jian kissed her but because her father was already on the spot watching them. She grasped his hand and started to run in the opposite direction of her father to save him but the old man's people surrounded them as if the old man knew this would happen.

Kuo Jian who was confused by everything didn't act on an impulse instead he stared at the people who surrounded them calmly but carefully. He finally understood why is she avoiding him so he started to force his way out, the strength he had was not something an average person would dream of because the might of the light element was not something to underestimate.

Kuo Jian gained the upper hand in the fight but when the old man showed his beast side by trying to capture him by using his daughter as a hostage Kuo Jian had no choice but to surrender.

The only element to defeat the light element was the darkness because they compromise each other. But light and dark are the two of the rarest elements so people with these elements rather became strong or prey for the strong as in Kuo Jian's case.

Piercing Kuo Jian's lower abdomen the old man drew his core out of him through the blood poured out of his body not minding her daughter's wail. Upon knowing her father's intention she took a knife from her waist and slit opened her nerve and with her blood as a source, she sealed Kuo Jian's wound after backstabbing her father with the same knife.

Stunning everyone with the betrayal of the daughter, she took Kuo Jian away from the place and fled to the southeastern province to escape from her father and save her beloved. Kuo Jian's health became worse and worse after that because of the loss of blood but Dhalia didn't lose hope and started to help him as much as she can.

It was when Darius found them hiding in the dilapidated mansion that Darius knew her identity greeted her but she cried and asked him not to greet her and told him that she was not a member of the Loaner family anymore. Hearing that Darius promised her to protect her and her husband who has lost his ability.

Only a few hours before Lin Cian arrived did the old man come and caused a scene causing Kuo Jian to fall into a coma and the others to lose their hope of living but Kuo Jian didn't expect his once lame brother to save him... no... everyone from the death.

Hearing the whole story Lin Cian stopped chewing and when he was ought to ask something Kuo Jian stopped "I can't come to Lin's family anymore" with a sad tone. Lin Cian looked at him as his stare demanded an answer to his question.

"Elders will not allow me because both our levels went down, there is no hope for us anymore" his voice shattered and stuttered. "But I won't lose my hope to live. I have someone with me to live for. I have to do everything to keep her happy" he blurted nonsense.

'Probably he isn't aware of his recovered core' Lin Cian thought himself and started to ask about the others. "Others?" Kuo Jian stopped for a moment hearing Lin Cian. After a few moments of silence "Doaren is not with me for years now" he almost whispered in shame and guilt. Lin Cian could see his eyes welling up with tears.

Lin Cian didn't let out a word because he knew how close was Kuo Jian to his twin brother. To let him separate from Doaren is not an easy thing to endure for a teenager. Lin Cian is a master... no... grandmaster in understanding emotions: he doesn't want Kuo Jian to blackout from crying.

"Doaren got stuck in the starting of the earth realm and no one could help him improve." His eyes become bloodshot and tears fell from his eyes... "I wanted to stay on his side and yes I did" He breathed heavily and Lin Cian could feel the heaviness of his heart but he didn't speak.

"But he was shifted to another academy when I went for a mission. I don't know how he felt and I even not know where he is but I only will get some letters from him saying that he is good and want me to improve. Only because the letter is written with codes I am at ease" he wiped his tears and looked at the floor. Lin Cian could feel the emptiness of Kuo Jian's heart.

Codes are some special codes that are used to inform secret messages and the codes differ from person to person. For example, Lin Cian and Lin Tamayo had secret codes to speak and exchange messages the same goes for the twin jades of Lin. So when Kuo Jin saw the secret code of Doaren he ensured that his twin was safe rather than thinking that Doaren was forced to write the letter.

After a few minutes of awkward silence, Lin Cian started to comfort him telling him that he would help to find Doaren and help him recover his fighting ability for which Kuo Jian smiled at him and asked "don't you want to know about Tamayo?"
