Apart from knights and mages, there are also auxiliary members in this strong society. They help mages and knights to become strong. They are blacksmiths, enchanters, formation specialists, bladesmiths, armorers, carpenters, tailors, pharmacists, dimension specialists, hunters, etc. They aid people with certain equipment.
Blacksmiths prefer to do any kind of metalwork while bladesmiths and armorers make bladed weapons and armors respectively.
Carpenters do the woodworks and coordinate with blacksmiths to make mage's staff and so on, tailors stitch clothes, pharmacists make pills like soul gathering pills to increase cultivation.
Woodworks and clothes may seem to be not important but they are important because the enchantments made by enchanters do affect their goods. For example, a normal cloth can be made magic resistant by the enchantment made by an enchanter so is for the carpentry.
Dimension specialists create dimensions like a fake environment for warriors to train themselves to become stronger.
After recovering from the mental shock caused by the spirit soul collision Lin Cian determined to get stronger so he decided to go for a blacksmith to choose a suitable weapon for himself.
When he entered a blacksmith store he was greeted by a woman. She was a woman in her twenties, a meter and a half tall wearing shabby clothes.
"Good morning, how can I help you, sir?"
Lin Cian stopped for a moment and started to speak "sorry, I never knew a woman would work with metal"
The woman smiled "You don't look like a person who lives here. Do you?"
"Yes, I am Cian and I am a wanderer" he can't say he is from the Lin clan so he chose to say himself a wanderer.
"Ooh, nice to meet you, young man. I am not the best blacksmith but definitely, I am not the worst. I believe I can satisfy your needs. So can I know what you are looking for?" asked the woman.
"I am looking for something..... which I can wield," said Lin Cian with a pitying smile while scratching his head.
"So you are looking for a weapon," asked the lady. Lin Cian nodded implying yes.
"Do you have any preference"
"Well I look for a lightweight weapon"
"Lightweight weapon" .....'I think this will be interesting.' The woman took some weapons and introduced them to Lin Cian.
She took a sword and introduced "this is a lightsaber. It weighs about one kilogram. Feel free to try. It is very light compared to a heavy sword. It gives the wielder good agility and the handle is designed in such a way to get good handling."
Lin Cian took the sword in his hands and swung it. 'Indeed it is very light but it is not suitable for me. As I am more fragile and very slow this weight would be a burden for me.'
....
Lin Cian nodded his head in his sides followed by a deep sigh.
The woman just looked at his expression and felt upset somehow but managed to force a smile on her face and took another sword but stopped by Lin Cian saying
"It won't suit me"
Before the shopkeeper could say anything Lin Cian was yet to get out of the store.
She was very upset and was quite disappointed and she didn't speak anything. Suddenly a man appeared on her side and asked her, "Leena what's the matter."
She didn't speak anything, she stopped Lin Cian who was about to leave and asked him "We tried our best to make it. Can you please tell me what is the flaw in it? Why are you disappointed in our work?"
Lin Cian stood there unknowing what he did wrong.
The man near her was her husband. He seems to be quite a bit tall from her. He had a rugged figure. He came to the young man and said in a calm manner
"It's ok not to buy our products. But at least you have to tell why you don't like them"
Lin Cian understood that he was not polite so he turned on her and bowed to her as an apology and said "I am really sorry for my rude behavior. It was not your fault as the sword is too heavy for me?"
"Heavy? But it is not that easy to reduce weight. If not made carefully the weapon may become a piece of scrap? It is just a kilo and a half and you say it is heavy" the young man shouted in a confused manner.
Lin Cian sighed and said in a pitiful smile" It is really heavy for me. My body can't bear this weight"
Seeing a not particularly tall but very skinny figure in front of him the man realized something and asked
"So it's about your physique?"
Lin Cian nodded yes.
Before anyone could talk the woman asked with a confused manner "what about the dagger"?
Lin Cian put a smile on his face and asked her "You are new to this field. Aren't you?"
The woman was shocked and didn't know what to speak. She nodded yes.
He simply found out because the dagger is a sidearm. A person can have three weapons on him. They are the sidearm, the primary arm and the secondary arm. Secondary weapons are mostly used in battles. The primary weapons are mostly carried anywhere. A sidearm is a self-defense weapon that will accompany the primary arm. Unless asked no blacksmith would take out the sidearms to sell it. Because side arms are cheaper the blacksmith usually tries to hide them and persuade the customers to buy a primary weapon. This woman just asked him to get a sidearm which shows she is inexperienced in this field.
However, he moved his sight towards the daggers.
There were three daggers. When Lin Cian took the first one to observe the women started introducing "This dagger is made of the leg of iron body spider".
It was a foot in length and was black in color.
Lin Cian shifted his gaze towards the other one and once again she started "Ooh I see you have a very good eyesight. This dagger is made of a heavenly iron whi....." before the woman finish the statement Lin Cian kept the dagger down and shifted his gaze towards the last one.
The woman was surprised and asked him "It will be your blessing to have such a good dagger but why don't you want to have it? Don't you have any money on you?"
The man's look towards Lin Cian turned a little tense.
"I can't trust it," Lin Cian said calmly.
The woman was furious she yelled, "Do you think we scam on you?"
Lin Cian was scared and shoot the words "No, I didn't. It was known that the meteorite also called heavenly steel may have phosphorous in it. And phosphorous is not good for weapons."
The second dagger was also a foot long but the blade had a pattern in it. It is a double-sided dagger of four fingers width and tapered to three fingers width near the tip.
Now Lin Cian shifted his sight towards the last one. "This is just an ordinary dagger," the woman said. It is a single-edged curved blade but it is perfect for thrusting and slashing.
'Finally, nothing can exceed an ordinary blade. Ridiculous...' Lin Cian was silent for a bit and said
"I will buy it."
The man near him was amazed by seeing Lin Cian analyzing the daggers as he was an expert blacksmith.
The man exclaimed, "Do you have any experience in blacksmithing."
Lin Cian nodded no.
"Then how did you analyze the dagger. How did you know about the heavenly steel?"
Lin Cian put a slight smile on his face and answered "I learned from books"
"Ooh, if it is can you share with me some knowledge?" The man asked with some eagerness.
"I realized that you should be a master blacksmith. But never thought you to appear in a place like this. I understand you love your work and value freedom. So I would like to order a customized dagger can you make one according to my knowledge?"
Lin Cian asked the blacksmith with a smile on his face. Lin Cian is a guy who usually doesn't like to boast about his knowledge. So he just asked this to a master blacksmith in order to avoid his contact because he thought master blacksmiths hate others' advice but much to his surprise the master blacksmith accepted.
As promised Lin Cian started to dictate his requirements for the weapon.
"I need a dagger kind of like .....with inscriptions for aura condensing, pierce and wear and tear resistance"
"What? How can it be? A piece of iron can only have one inscription how can it have three of them together"
...
"So there is a way to do that too. I really wonder how it turns out .."
After explaining the knowledge about the customized dagger the blacksmith felt satisfied.
"At least I need six months I have to get used to your method," said the blacksmith.
"It's fine. Then I would return after three months. For now, I would like to get this dagger can you please name your price" asked Lin Cian pointing towards the ordinary dagger which is the third one.
The woman replied, "Your knowledge is more valuable than a dagger so please take it as a gift."
Lin Cian thought for a minute and realized that she is sincere about it and decided to take the gift.
"Thank you" Lin Cian bowed and thanked both of them and returned to his room where he is staying.
