IV. The First Mission

For young dragon warriors, the beginning of their first mission can mean an important and special moment in their lives, it was a rite of maturity and that one day they would be the ones who would show the way for future generations of warriors, protecting, maintaining order and providing strength and protection to neighboring peoples or those in need were one of the many expectations of a new dragon that left to meet the world outside of Shairum. Naturally, for most experts in travel and missions, these trips weren't a big deal, but for newcomers, this was a big step.

At the end of saying Kuketzi and Drigielix move away from the group while a sturdy and somewhat large earth dragon took the lead of the group that consisted of twenty-two members including Alexandra.

Already being far enough away to be able to speak calmly, the dragon opens her wings to surround Drigielix and make sure that he sees her head-on in the middle of the conversation.

"Tell me what is so special about this human?" It was the first words spoken by the female. "While I can understand that you were able to bring someone new even though we didn't need it, I don't understand why you suggested bringing this weird bug with us."

"You should have seen her yourself, Kuketzi, this human doesn't seem so weak at first glance" He begins to flap his companion's wings so that she doesn't surround him anymore. "I know that she is not a dragon and I admit that I have my doubts as well, but this human girl has talent, I saw how she beat a winged brother in hand-to-hand combat, she has an excellent command of weapons, besides that according to Magarai says Alexandra's armor has magical properties that will help the human to fight like us "The male dragon was explaining why Alexandra was with them hoping that the human would not bring bad luck to them and that the dragon would not lose its tail because of her.

Kuketzi rubs a hundred while pondering what the hell his second-in-command and soon-to-be level five warrior was thinking, who was about to receive the title of guild leader and have his guild division which he could command and lead. Why risk all that for a human? Although she tried to respect the decision of that white dragon, having a human in the group was new and very rare for everyone.

"This is exciting. Right guys?" Alexandra, taking advantage of the break time, would try to gain the trust and friendship of her group before having to watch the area.

"It may not be an exciting mission, but helping everyone who needs help isn't your duty to be a dragon warrior?" She asks to hope that they would think a bit about the meaning of their emblems and talismans.

"That is why there are lower guilds like the Flaming Scales, Crimson Guardians, or even the Protectors of Fate," Said the same purple dragon without breaking her attention to what she was writing.

This did bother Alexandra a lot, the Protectors of Fate was the guild that her mother Magarai had founded in the past, a guild that helped everyone regardless of the type of mission or the rewards they received. If they hadn't been so closed in accepting a human she would have liked to have been part of that guild after being rejected by the Flaming Scales. Even so, she would not let them insult the guild where her friend was and much less the guild that her mother had created, she was more than ready to argue with the oceanic dragon.

"Alexandra I know that look," says Drigielix catching an arm of the human with his tail "I advise you to take advantage of your rest to store all the energy you can and not waste it in silly arguments without sense. We all depend on the strength of the other and one warrior keeps his emotions under control when he is on a mission, this is the first and last time he should tell you this. Is that clear?

She clenches a fist as hard as possible as if that way she could send out all her anger and desire to fight with the oceanic dragon in that hand to have a clear mind.

"I am one of you whether you like it or not" Alexandra sits on the muddy ground to meditate a bit while waiting for the time to watch. "I don't know who you are, but that you talk like that about other guilds is not worthy of a warrior."

"You may die before this mission ends if you are lucky, but out of kindness, I will tell you my name. I am Ashurix the daughter of two very important and powerful ocean dragons from Rexn-Laigun" she says with a smug smile.

"You are very far from your home full of riches and luxuries huh" she answers without breaking her meditation "How is a dragon from an oceanic kingdom as rich as Rexn-Laigun being a warrior instead of a high-class lady?" She asks her purple companion.

"Simple" She closes her notebook, stopping writing before she can continue speaking. "I want to form my fortune and wealth with my own hands, not depend on the name and reputation of my parents to become someone. Something that a certain non-dragon creature has done to be part of this guild"

"Enough both, Ashurix remember that even if the captain did not tell you directly, any punishment for lack of discipline can also be applied to you, so we better avoid the poisonous comments and relax that the clock only lacks half the sand. " Roxum says trying to ensure calm and tranquility among the members.

"This should be a simple mission, but as I feared, Alexandra will be a fucking magnet of misfortune for me"

It was one of the thoughts that crossed the head of that white dragon, this mission was a very simple one from the guild's perspective, they expected to do great things after the ceremony of new warriors, but now they had to take things easy for their new member. The mission had just begun and Alexandra was almost starting an argument with a colleague and there were still six hours and thirty minutes to finish the mission.
