Third day

Orochimaru woke up at 7:00 the next day.

It was a very peaceful morning in the valley. The sun was shining brightly and rays emerged from gaps of leaves of trees. Dewdrops could be seen on leaves, appearing colorful from refraction.

The beautiful scenery in the morning mesmerized and greeted Orochimaru when he woke up.

He also felt quite soothing when he meditated in a quiet and natural atmosphere.

After some time he did morning rituals and made himself breakfast. Of course, he used meat from the dangerous beast to make breakfast as he has heard it delicious.

Most of the participants would've not done this, but for Orochimaru, his comfort comes first and mission second.

He is not like most ninjas who take their mission first.

For Orochimaru mission can never be above his life and his family.

Thinking about it Itachi who he admired chose his village before the clan.

Orochimaru liked his character but did not mean he would also do so.

He is not a self-sacrificing person.

If he was in Itachi's place he would neither choose clan nor village but his family.

Maybe he could kill the whole clan but not his own family.

Although he knows that ninja is a cold-blooded killer. But Orochimaru never takes his job as a ninja seriously, he only thinks of it as a path to become stronger.

For Orochimaru strength is important not the means.

A very inciteful smell brought him out of his musing. Orochimaru cooking has improved very much due to the long absence of parents and knowledge of different dishes from the past life.

From what he interrogated these mountains hold mostly all of the dangerous beasts. So, Orochimaru is going to conduct a carpet search of the whole mountain.

He walked freely on the mountain pass and enjoyed nature. He enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and the sound of water flowing.

It looks like the valley is soothing for Orochimaru.

If it was the previous Orochimaru he would never enjoy nature. But it seems that previous life memory has little influence on Orochimaru.

If there was no anbu then he would've walked briskly and sung a melody while enjoying the fresh morning breeze against his face.

Suddenly Orochimaru a claw was near Orochimaru's face.

But there was no panic or surprise on Orochimaru's face as his hypersensitivity has already warned him about it earlier.

In response to the claw swipe, he didn't move as he just swipes chakra-covered kunai to cut the limb of the creature which attacked it while he slid enough to dodge the attack.

But it seems it has a high reaction speed as its tail of creature moved as if going to stab his heart.

If it was any ninja or wisdom beast they would try to save limbs. But wisdomless beast only depends on instinct, they will choose the most appropriate way to kill regardless of injury.

But in response to the attack, Orochimaru spun 180° using his acceleration and spin and attacked from another side trying to pierce the heart of the beast.

But the cat changed its trajectory plunging its tail into the soil using previous attack momentum and used soil as a foothold.

Gracefully landing on four feet its yellow eyes stated the golden one with caution. Orochimaru also observed his assailant when they are distanced.

What greeted his eyes was a feline with black fur, sharp canines, and long claws which seems as if can cut anything to shreds.

Long-tail has a pointed edge and seems that it more like a sword.

Orochimaru immediately identified the danger beast seeing its feature. It's a rare thunder-type elemental danger beast named thunder beast.

But from what true sight told Orochimaru it was unfortunately only elite grade 3. Otherwise, it would be a more satisfying fight.

But Orochimaru was still happy to observe an elemental-type danger beast for the first time.

*Chirp*

The beast again moved to attack Orochimaru

.Befitting its name it was now covered in thunder from head to toe.

*zzzzzzzz*

Electrocuting everything that touched the body of the cat it pounced towards Orochimaru surpassing its speed several times more than before.

*Clang*Clang*

Finally, the claws and kunai clashed to decide the survivor of the fight. And it was visible that Orochimaru has the upper hand.

The killer move of the cat was not strength but thunder, most of the ninjas of Orochimaru's caliber would have electrocuted till now. But Orochimaru was not because of defense gained by bloodline skill Yata no Kagami and resilience obtained from red muscles.

Finally noticing that danger beast has given its all and low on stamina Orochimaru distanced using attack momentum and threw kunai's and applying spin.

*Boom*

The cat was nailed at vitals and its body lay lifeless in pothole formed.

After upgrading to D rank spin's speed has once again increased by much.

He does not apply it on his body at more speed as he will not be able to control his body and fight properly at his current reaction speed.

In this small fight, Orochimaru suddenly despised the statement in books that wisdomless beasts are less powerful than wisdom beasts.

Orochimaru thinks that in certain aspects it's true, but instincts and no fear make them equally or maybe more dangerous in most cases.

He cut the tail which was attacking from his blind spot.

Orochimaru was not surprised by the situation.

Danger beast are unpredictable. From books, it seems that some danger beast's body parts also have a mind of their own and functional even after the dangerous beast dies.

It was a small event of that day. He met many danger beasts later, although not as strong and rare as thunder cat, normal level 3 danger beasts were still plenty in the area.

All were killed efficiently in one or two strikes by him.
