Introduction/authors note (spoilers)

Hi, guys author here this is actually my first official work so this might not be the best novel yet.

ps this 'chapter' is totally skippable so no need to waste your time.

I would like to just set up a base for the word building and try to convey to you the basic premise of the story

firstly this world is set up in the year 2050 and is sort of magic-technology based and

humanity got its abilities approximately in the year 2000 and the cause of them remains unknown.

(ps, an affinity is a general term for someone's elemental attributes or could be referred to a group of abilities that have the same elemental attribute.

an ability is that person's specific power/skill or could refer to a specific 'ability')

anyway, I'm making it seem more complicated than it actually is but basically, that's about it also the following terms might be used throughout the novel :

•affinity,

•ability

or elemental attribute(so basically affinity)

just making sure no one will be confused because all these terms essentially are the same thing

anyways, Felix Sparks, our mc is the heir of a powerful and influential family known as the sparks.

The sparks are a family known for their fire affinity almost every child in the household is born with it.

Felix's parents are Vincent sparks (age 22) and his mother is Cia sparks(age 21).

Vincent is the son of the family head but because he was born without any powers (essentially crippled) he was not accepted to be the family head but he did not give up and strived to become powerful so he had no choice but to try to achieve his goals by becoming a physical fighter or a warrior which made his family think of his actions as a betrayal to the path of magic.

Felix also seemed to not be able to have access to his ability so everyone assumed he also had no ability just like his father
