Chapter 53: How Dare You!
While he was busy looking at the notification, another beast tried to sneak attack him. A sharp pointed tail approached his head at a fast speed.
He could not react on time, as his mind was distracted by the screen in front of him. Before the tail could touch him a cold aura erupted and enveloped the surroundings.
The tail of the beast flew in the air while a cold voice made it tremble in fear.
"How dare you think of harming my brother."
Keiran sighed in relief hearing the voice and took a hold of himself. Being on guard he saw Luna running after the beast, who was scared of her.
"You deserve to die, for even thinking about killing my brother."
In an instant she caught up with it and with a swift strike she cut-off the legs of the animal. The scale on its body could not protect it from her assault.
" Do not think you will die that easily."
Her chilling voice spread through the battlefield, catching Some of the soldiers' attention. She kicked the face of the beast.
"Now~ Don't make that face. You made the mistake you shouldn't have made."
She spoke while stabbing the sword in its stomach.
She did not stop there and twisted the sword inside of the beast making it scream out loud.
*SCREECHHHH*
Luna had a cold look on her face and emotionless eyes that made everyone who was looking at the scene tremble.
Aiden who was watching this scene from afar, trembled in fear and cursed his fucking mouth.
' I just had to provoke her. I need to man up and accept it. Maybe she will go easy on me. Who am I kidding…. She will make me suffer for days.'
Looking at the scene of Luna torturing the beast Keiran felt something new budding inside of him. He could not help but smile at the scene. All of his efforts to keep his mind focused were in naught.
The inside of the beasts were laying out in the open. The blood which now covered the girl's sword and even some of her clothes did not faze her.
"Tch! Died so easily."

Her remark caused everyone to sweat dropped in nervousness. Only Keiran was looking at her love in his eyes and a crazed smile on his face. He even ignored the system notification for now.
He could sense another beast was trying to sneak an attack on him. The beast charged an ice shard at him which was the size of an arm.
Without even looking at the shard, with his sword Keiran split the thing in two.
" Do you think I would make the same mistake twice?"
A huge snake-like creature's eyes widened as hearing a playful voice from his side. He saw the boy had already disappeared from his original position and there were two rings on the ground in his place.
The snake turned to the side in an instant or it attempted to but Keiran's sword was faster than it, decapitating it in an instant.

Keiran did not stop there and went to assist Luna in killing more of Level 1 Beasts. Notification after notification rang in his mind.

'Can you stop these notifications for a moment.'
Keiran asked, a little annoyed with the repeating sounds in his mind.

With a silent mind he continued his killing spree.
Far away Seraphina looked at their display of power with shocked eyes.
'I knew they had grown powerful but this is something I did not expect. Although the twins do not have too much raw power, they have pure skills, which are quite high.'
Till now everything they have done is purely based on their skills and due to the fact that, beast have straightforward attack pattern in front of a real human the twins might have to spend a little more effort to kill them.
Her gaze shifted to the level two beasts who had started their charge towards the battlefield.
'It's time' With that thought she declared out loud.
"Unit two charge ahead and support the soldiers. Make sure no level two beasts escape your unit."
With a huge roar of excitement level two and some of the lower level three soldiers charge in the battlefield.
'Now when will you come out?'
She thought as she gazed far away in the desolate forest waiting for the final boss to make its move.

In the middle of the battlefield Aiden was taking it a little slow. He was killing the beasts at his own pace so he did not exhaust himself.
'Looks like i need to increase my pace so that i do not fall behind brother.'
From the corner of his eyes, he saw Keiran killing the beast with speed and efficiency.
As the time went by Keiran was starting to get exhausted and he saw that Luna had also started to slow down a little.
' Let's retreat.'
He spoke to Luna through their link who had just finished killing a huge cat-like beast.
' Yeah, Let's recover for a while.'
They both retreated towards the back lines where the low level beast managed to escape.
Aiden was still in the middle of killing the beasts. He was gasping for breath, signs of exhaustion were evident on his face. He looked around at the sight of corpses of humans and beasts everywhere and felt light headed.
The twins may have been fine with all the gore and bloody scenes but that was due to the fact that they did not care about the lives of anyone other than who they consider their family.
He was different, he could not turn his eyes away from the scene in front of his eyes. He started to feel light headed with all the smell of the blood.
On the frontlines many high level awakeners were engaging in the battle against level two soldiers with their lives on the line. Though their number of casualties were very low, it was still there.
The beast continued their charge even when their numbers were low and still continued to decrease.
One of the leopard looking creatures looked at the soldiers with his sharp eyes and activated his ability.
His features were covered in dark shadow like veil and hid it from plain sight. Sneaking under the presence of the human experts present in the area it made its way towards the low level humans.
While on its way towards the back it started swiftly killing, hiding back in the shadows the best continued the assault.
Keiran and Luna were first to sense the presence of the beast with their eyes. They saw the beast was sneaking towards a direction.
Turning to look in that direction their eyes widened as they understood who the target was.
When the leopard's eyes landed on a dazed boy in the middle of the battle it immediately charged straight at its target.
