Chapter 27: The Arena: part 2
Reaching the hall they saw Arion standing there in a golden beige three piece suit, beside him, Seraphina was wearing a black turtleneck along with a burgundy suit.
Aiden was beside her wearing white shirt along with a royal blue suit, he has grown up to be a 4 feet 9 inch tall boy.
Seeing the trio enter the room, their attention turned towards them. " Since you all are finally here. Let's go."
After Arion spoke he moved forward leading them towards a limousine car waiting for them in front of the gate.
They entered the car one by one sitting on their respective seats. Arion pressed a button and the car started moving.
Along the way everyone stayed quite, Aiden kept looking outside the window but from time to time his gaze would land on the twins.
Soon they approached the golden colossal building engraved with different ruins.
They had a special entry made for the royal family which was covered in red carpet along with sevral armed men guarding the entrance.
As the car parked in front of the gate, one of the guards approached and opened the gate.
After opening it he moved a little back as Arion came out of the car first followed by Seraphina and Erla.
Behind them was Aiden and at the end Keiran helped Luna come out of the car by lending her a hand.
Seeing the entire royal family the guards saluted as Aiden marveled at the display.
The twins simply ignored them like dust, their gaze was fixed on the huge building which was giving them an eerie feeling.
The dark aura radiating from the people inside made their stomach churn in disgust.
Keeping a composed face on the outside they followed behind the others and entered the arena.
The gates closed in on behind them at the guards stayed their guarding it. They moved through a hall and entered a lift, which opened up in an open private quarters of the arena.
As Aiden came out of the lift, he looked at the sheer size of the arena and the ring in the middle with sparkling eyes. The number of people cheering at the sight of the Royal family.
Array of people in the stadium stood as they shouted and roared in happiness. His face turned to look at his 'big brother' who was now supporting his sister.
He saw that there was a trace of blood on the corner of the boys lips which the boy wiped instantly.
He wanted to rush at him to help him but when he saw his father from the corner of his eyes, who was simply gazing at the crowd unknown of his kid's condition similarly to Erla.
Aiden bit his lips and clenched his fist. With a reluctant gaze he turned his face away.
Unknown to him Seraphina also saw everything and shook her head, her gaze was filled with disappointment.
" Are you ok Luna?"
Hearing Keiran's soothing voice, Luna turned to him and saw the smudge of blood at the corner of his lips.
With a firm will she took a hold of herself and brought her fingers to touch the area from which he cleaned his blood off.
Her gaze turned cold as she was about to speak, a voice snapped her out of her thoughts. " Are you alright dear?"
Seraphina held Luna by her shoulders with care.
Luna let her support her as she turned to look at her then at the crowd outside.
" I am fine just a little dizzy from the lift."
Her words made Seraphina frown as she turned to look at Keiran for answers.
She knew the girl was lying as they have used lift many times and she has never acted this way before.
Keiran just shook his head in response.
Seraphina sighed as the boy took the girl from her hands took her to a seat in the back.
After carfully sitting her down, keiran also sat by her side.
[ Host doesn't need to worry too much after tonight, your connection will strengthen once more and this might not happen again.]
Hearing those words Keiran and Luna relaxed a little.
he and Luna had just experienced a large amount of aura rushing at them from the arena and the aura was filled with nothing but darkness.
As if the people who had just released all the darkness they have hidden inside of them just for today.
That aura overloaded both of the twins senses and they were caught off-guard.
Keiran stabilized himself by biting his tongue a little but Luna was unable to react in time. 'our birthday is tomorrow isn't it and the day of awakening too' he sighed as he thought of tomorrow's event in anticipation.
He sighed and turned his gaze towards the still cheering crowd.
The noble families have already settled in their seats and they were just waiting for the king's announcement.
A bottle of water entered Keiran's vision as turned to look at Seraphina ruby eyes matched his white one, she was smiling at him, that warm smile made his lips curl up a little, which surprised Seraphina.
Taking the bottle he opened it up and gave it to Luna. Luna took the bottle and drank the water slowly, giving it back to him with a firm gaze.
Understanding her expression he too drank the water and put the bottle on the side.
Seeing the people letting out their real emotions like this, Keiran and Luna understood one thing:
' We will always cherish those, who are real with us.'
Holding their hands they turned to look at Seraphina who was looking at them with a warm and worried gaze.
Their eyes turned towards they boy looking outside the window with clenched fist as his aura was in disarray. This sight made the twins worry a little about their little brother's mind.
Once their gaze turned towards the man moving towards the mic in an elegant manner, it turned emotionless.
Arion stopped beside the platform where the mic was placed as the commentators took over the speakers.
"Good morning ladies and gentlemen.
It is the day that we have been waiting for so long. It's the start of the championship and also the selection process of the new Duke."
As the words set in the cheers from the audience grew louder and louder.
They started jumping around. " Before we start, let's hear some enlightening words from our King and protector. Please Your Majesty."
With those words Arion moved up the stage and stood in front of the mic.
" Good morning, my people…." Arion's majestic and loud voice set in the heart of the whole Kingdom.
