Have Mercy

Xiaoling annoyingly pushed the quilt aside and sat up. She glared at the two men standing beside her bed. She deeply sighed.

"When someone is resting, it's common manners to keep quiet," Xiaoling lectured them for talking.

The Arbiter and Weisheng simultaneously uttered, "Ah…"

Xiaoling grabbed the glass from the nightstand and poured herself water. As she drank from the glass, her eyes traveled across the room. In a dimly lit room, she was alone with these two men. She raised her eyes to look at them while setting the glass aside.

"We apologize," The Arbiter quickly apologized when his eyes met hers, "We were just happy to have some company. We shall not repeat such a mistake."

Xiaoling smiled faintly, lowering her gaze from the Arbiter, "The Lord Arbiter shouldn't be the one apologizing," She murmured, "Oh right, the valley is poisonous. There should be a demonic cultivator nearby. Please station officials to investigate this area."
