Control

Weisheng hurried to his room, locking his door to avoid having to encounter anyone. He took off his suffocating mask and threw it on the floor, slowly slipping down to the ground himself. His back rested against the locked door as he let his head fall.

What he did today didn't feel as fulfilling as he thought he would feel. Instead, he felt guilty and empty. Meihui's last words wouldn't leave him alone no matter how hard he tried to divert his attention. The quietness and gloominess of his room made matters worse than they had to be.

Suddenly, Weisheng opened the door, grabbed her wrist, and pushed her inside, closing the door behind her. She was too stunned to finish her sentence.

"Um-" Xiaoling cleared her throat, trying to take a look at his face.
