Ancestral Hall

Leaving the Celestial Officials behind for further investigation, Lord Arbiter and Xie Gang escorted Xiaoling and her disciples back to the city. The journey was quiet and quick. Upon reaching Xiaoling's residence, the gentlemen were invited for tea. They dared not decline the invitation and left only after having tea with Lady Ren.

Xiaoling didn't waste any time and had Weisheng apologize to Qiang as soon as they arrived. After he was done, Xiaoling took him to a room unknown to him. As she opened the door, a dark and grim room appeared before him. Multiple stone tablets were lined on the big table. The faint scent of the incense made the purpose of the room clear. As Weisheng's eyes scanned the stone tablets, his suspicions checked off.

"This is the Ren Clan Ancestral Hall," Xiaoling explained, "This is the punishment I devised for you. The Ancestors of our clan will watch over you as you repent over your mistakes. Fair enough?"
