A Story

The Arbiter scoffed with amusement, glaring at the man. He slowly approached the bed, only to be stopped by Weisheng.

"Let's keep an appropriate distance, shall we?" Weisheng sarcastically uttered.

The Arbiter chuckled and backed off, "Mr. Yuan is blind at the moment, yet he can tell who is approaching Ling'er."

Weisheng could hear the Arbiter's footsteps departing toward the right. Two porcelain glasses clinked before the sound of liquid pouring down a glass echoed across the room.

"Let us have a drink while we wait for Ling'er to awaken," The Arbiter invited him with a gentle tone, "We shall tell you a story."

Weisheng slowly walked toward the origin of the voice, stretching his arms to aid his movement.

"You may walk another few steps," The Arbiter helped him out. Weisheng quietly followed his voice, "You may sit down," He added, "There is a chair on your left, slightly lower than your knees."
