A Devil In Human’s Skin

Weisheng quietly looked at the ceiling of his room as he lay down in bed. What Xiaoling had said earlier made a lot of sense. He didn't love her truly if he wasn't ready to respect her choices. However, was there a margin for that? If he backed out now, wouldn't Xiaoling's life be eternal suffering?

He took a deep breath and closed his eyes to go to sleep. There was no other way around it. The people who had wronged her deserved to die anyway. Why did he have to think about something so trivial?

Xiaoling, on the other hand, couldn't sleep after having that conversation with Weisheng. She knew it was about him, even if he said it wasn't. But who was Person B? She couldn't tell.

Unable to sleep, Xiaoling walked around the courtyard until the sun rose. Just like yesterday, the Heaven's Messenger appeared before her once again.

"Huh? Kang Peizhi?" Xiaoling asked with surprise, "I thought Weisheng could use his Celestial Tablet alone."
