Today is take your child to work day and Ebony is so excited to spend the day with her dad, Death. Please note that this was a prompt idea I found on Tumblr. I unfortunately cannot remember the account that I found it from but credit for the prompt goes to the creator. I hope you guys enjoy!

Chapter 1Take Your Child to Work Day

At first glance Ebony Thanato looks like any other 8 year old girl. Her big, bright blue eyes are full of life and she always wears her pitch black hair in pigtails. She often has a smile on her pale face that stretches so far it's a wonder her freckle covered cheeks aren't sore.

The one thing that makes her different then all the other 8 year olds is her family. Ebony is an only child and like many people has loving parents, which seems pretty normal so far. Her dad, however, is Death.

Now Death doesn't always walk around wearing a black robe and carrying a scythe, he only does that when he's working. And this is where our story begins.

It's April 23 which means today is the day that young Ebony has been patiently waiting to arrive. Today is take your child to work day! Ebony has been counting down the days until this very moment where she gets to go to work with her dad.

For this special day her mom made her a black robe of her own. She had her hair in pigtails (as usual) and was waiting by the front door, bouncing on the balls of her feet.

After 5 agonizing minutes her dad walked down the stairs, kissed her mom goodbye, and grabbed Ebony's tiny hand. "Ready to go buttercup?" He asks, smiling down at the excited child.

"I've been ready for ages, daddy!" She replies, tugging on her father's hand.

Death only chuckles as he picks her up (teleporting with Ebony is easier if she's held) and steps out the front door.

Death and Ebony quickly arrive at their first stop, a hospital. "We have a couple of souls to collect here." Death tells his daughter. He places her back on the ground and gently holds her hand.

Ebony's big eyes wander around each room, wondering which people are about to take their last breath. Rather than asking like many young children would do, Ebony stays silent. Instead she observes each face she passes carefully.

She only looks to her father when they come to a stop inside a room. Death looks down and starts explaining, "This is the intensive care unit in the hospital. This man here is Roger Goodwin. He's 82 and has pancreatic cancer."

"Where's his family?" Ebony asks. She's looking at the old man, who seems to be struggling to breathe. She slowly walks up to the bed, grabbing the man's hand to give him some sort of comfort in his last moments.

"He doesn't have anyone left. But he is a Vietnam Veteran. I'm sure there will be many people who mourn his death." With that being said, Death takes his hand and slowly waves it over the man's chest. Roger stops breathing - the heart monitor on the right of the bed goes flat.

Ebony looks up to see the old man standing beside his body, "We're here to help you to the after life, Mr. Goodwin!" Ebony speaks, startling the man.

Roger blinks a few times, "Death is a little girl?"

"No silly! Death is my dad. I'm just helping him with work today."

Despite knowing that he just died, Roger can't help the smile that starts appearing on his face. "Well, I'll be honored to get help from you."

Ebony beams, "You're okay knowing that you just died?"

"I'm old. And now I can be reunited with my wife."

Death waves his hand, opening a portal for Roger to make it to his afterlife. "You've had a good life, Roger. Step through here when you're ready. You will be able to relive the good parts of your life and then you will have a choice: stay there in an afterlife or reincarnate. Rest in Peace, Roger Goodwin."

Roger nods, letting Death know he understood. He takes a breath and steps through the portal. Once he's through, Roger is enveloped in a white light and the portal closes.

"One more stop in the hospital then we can move on." Death says to his daughter, grabbing her hand once more.

Once they made it to their next location Death started to explain to his daughter what was happening, "This is the newborn ward. This baby girl is named Clara Headly. She was born premature and is only a few hours old."

"She's not going to live?" Ebony looks up at her dad. Her blue eyes glistening with unshed tears.

"Unfortunately no, buttercup. Sometimes the world is cruel and humans die too young. Her family will mourn but they will never forget her." Death then raises his hand, taking Clara's soul out of her body and sending it through the portal.

"Does she get the option of staying in the afterlife or reincarnation?"

"When a human is too young to decide they get reincarnated no matter what. This gives them the chance to live a life longer than their last." Ebony nods, her pigtails shaking with the movement. She lifts her arms up indicating that she's ready to move to the next location.

The next location was on the highway. There was a bad car accident, "This is Allison Leavy, she's 16. Allison recently got her driver's license. She was texting and driving when she crashed."

The emergency vehicles didn't have the chance to arrive before Death waved his hand and collected her soul. "I'm dead?" The beautiful blonde girl asked, looking at death.

"I'm afraid so, young one."

"This is all my fault. How could I be so stupid?" Allison shoved her head into her hands. She flinched when she felt tiny arms wrapped around her. Peeling her hands away from her face she looked down. "Who are you?"

"I'm Ebony. Death is my dad. I'm sorry that you died. But please don't call yourself stupid. Everyone makes mistakes."

Death nodded in agreement, "You're family and friends will mourn of course, but this will be a lesson for many other people. Now when you're ready please step through this portal-"

Allison cuts him off, "Can I see my parent's one last time?"

Death nods, "Yes, I can bring you to them." In an instant the three are in front of a couple. They sit happily together watching a movie, unaware of the phone call they are about to receive.

Before that time comes Allison looks back at Death, "Okay, I'm ready."

"Once you move through the portal you will get the option to reincarnate or continue in an afterlife. If you choose the afterlife you will be able to continue to look after them."

Allison nods and walks through the portal, being swallowed by the bright white light.

"This is the last one today, buttercup." Death says when they arrive at the next stop. They are outside a gas station, cops are surrounding the building. "The man in there is 43 year old Arnold Bommer."

"What's he doing?" Ebony asks, looking at the crowd around her.

"He's trying to rob the place."

"So he's bad?"

"Sometimes good people do bad things. Arnold isn't a bad person but he's in a bit of a rough patch. He doesn't want to hurt anyone which is why he's only going to act like he will. He wants to die and this is how he is going to get his way."

The man steps out and raises his gun. Before he gets the chance to shoot, one of the cops does. Arnold drops to the ground at Death's feet. Death reaches down and waves a hand over the bloody body, setting his soul free.

Looking up, Ebony sees the man staring down at his body. "Thank you." He whispers.

Death, like all the people before Arnold, explains what is about to happen as he opens the portal to the afterlife. Once the words leave Death's mouth, Arnold walks through, never looking back.

"What happens to someone who is really bad when they die?" Ebony asks her dad.

"They will get punished for a certain amount of years, depending on what they did that was bad. And when their punishment ends they will be given the option to reincarnate and try to live a good life or they will cease to exist."

"So they will never be in a good afterlife?"

"No, buttercup. If someone was really bad while they were alive they do not get the option of having a good afterlife." Death studies his daughter's face as he pauses, allowing her to take in the information.

"This job is never easy. I see a lot of humans taken from this world before they ever get the chance to truly live. Seeing family and friends react to the loss of a loved one can be heart wrenching. Sometimes the dead person themselves doesn't take the news easily. But this job also allows me the chance to really admire the time humans do have on this Earth."

Defy The Alpha(s)

Two centuries after the Great War, peace between humans and werewolves was finally achieved, or so everyone believes. Werewolves reign like gods, and humans remain blissfully unaware of their true place in the new world order. To maintain this fragile balance, each year, a handful of "lucky" humans are selected from various districts to attend Lunaris Academy, a prestigious institution that promises glory, status, and a chance to mingle with the elite. Those chosen are hailed as the lucky few, destined to marry powerful alphas and rise as luna. This year, Violet Purple is among the chosen, much to everyone's surprise. For an orphaned girl adopted by a disgraced prostitute, this is a golden ticket to a better life or so she's told. But Lunaris Academy isn’t the paradise it’s painted to be. Everything Violet and her fellow humans have been taught is a lie. Humans are far from equal; they're pawns in a much larger game. The academy is nothing but a gilded cage, and the students are lambs led to slaughter, playthings for the alphas to toy with in their ruthless games. To make matters worse, Violet catches the attention of the most dangerous players in this game, the Terror Four: the Alpha of the North, Alpha of the South, Alpha of the East, and Alpha of the West. Each one is more dangerous, more twisted, and more powerful than the last. But even among themselves, the alphas are divided, each with their own deadly ambitions. Yet, they all have their eyes on her. They expect Violet to play along, to fall in line like the others who worship at their feet, to break under their games. But Violet isn’t like the others. She refuses to bow. She’ll defy them all. *********** With a grin that made her uneasy, he handed the application to her. “Approve this one.” Principal Jameson’s curiosity got the better of her as she took the paper from him, her eyes scanning the text. Almost immediately, her breath caught in her throat, her eyes widening in disbelief. “What the...?” “It’s perfect, isn’t it?” Asher’s voice was almost gleeful. Fucking psychopath! Jameson could hardly believe what she was reading. “Mr. Nightshade, with all due respect, this applicant….this girl just admitted to—” She couldn’t even finish the sentence, still horrified at the explicit nature of the application. Taking a deep breath, she continued, “I’m sorry, but I cannot approve this.” “She’s issued me a challenge,” Archer said, a dark gleam in his eyes. “What?” “‘Wait till you see me in bed,’” he repeated the bold line from the application, his grin widening. “And I can’t wait to find out.” “Mr. Nightshade—” He stood up, cutting off her protest as he fixed her with an intense stare. “Approve the application. I won’t ask again.” Without waiting for her response, Asher strode out of the office, confident she would follow his orders. He always got what he wanted. Archer Nightshade walked down the hall, a spring in his step. For the first time in a long while, he felt alive, his blood pulsing with excitement. The other Cardinal Alphas had no idea what he was up to, but it would soon hit them. He’d just set the game in motion. And the target was Violet Purple. It was game on. Note : This is not your average werewolf story. Eveything you think you know about werewolves would be challenged in this book. And yes, it is reverse harem. Do give the book a try.

Bambi and the Duke

Disowned for being a human, Vivian was taken in as a maid at the age of seven by the Carmichael household. Serving one of the most respected and elite pureblood families in Bonelake, there were rules. Rules that must be followed by all servants and maids. Like everyone else, Vivian was repeatedly reminded not to disobey the rules. But before she could learn to blend into the background like the other servants, the Duke's young son calls to her, “Bambi.” And all hell breaks loose. ----- "What? Never seen a bruise before?" Leonard scoffed at the girl. "Does it hurt?" Vivian asked, gently kneeling beside him and examining the several bruises covering his face. "Not that much." Remembering what her mother used to do when she got a bruise, Vivian brought her sleeve to her mouth and blew warm air on it before placing it on the boy's cheek, taking him by surprise. Leonard swatted her hand away, a hint of pink appearing on his cheeks embarrassed, "W-what are you doing?" "Mama told me this will make the pain go away," the girl held her hand close to her chest as she shared her past memory. "I’m not a child!” Leonard huffed at her. “I don’t think you’re a child,” she stared at him with a crystal-clear gaze. Taken aback, Leonard locked eyes with her for two seconds before shaking his head. “Don’t worry about it. They’ll heal in a day or two anyways," he reassured her before getting up and taking a seat at the table where his books were placed. "Odd girl," he muttered to himself as he pulled the top book from the stack and lost himself in it.

Omega's Rebirth

What was worse than death itself? Well it was dying knowing that no one would miss you, knowing that your death was a favour to everyone you ever knew. This was exactly how I felt the day I died. I was the love child of the Eclipse Alpha King, in a time where the mate bond was considered sacred, a child born out of wedlock was nothing short of sacrilegious... 'It was his fault, he loved someone other than his mate...' 'It was his fault, he had carnal knowledge of a human woman.' 'It was all his fault, my only crime was being born out of his lust.' But why was that Alpha King father of mine perfectly safe, while I was hated, scorned and blamed for everything instead? Why did I have to be my father's bargaining chip, used to achieve his goals? Why could I not get a rejection like everyone else but was instead murdered by my own mate? Why was I killed before I even had a chance to live? I had a thousand questions and yet there was no one to answer and this was exactly how I died... So why then did my eyes flutter open to that day, a month before my death? Was it because of my little secret? A secret I will tell no one else but you... From the title of my tale, you must think I am an omega wolf... No, you got it wrong... I am not an Omega wolf, I am an Alpha wolf and my name is Omega. ~Second Book in the Werewolf Rebirth Series. *Not a prequel or sequel to 'The Alpha King's Nemesis', both books are not related save for the world setting and Werewolf Rebirth concept. *Cover art sourced from the internet, all credits to the original artist.*

Letters to Romeo.

[Mature Content. No Rape] 'All it took was breaking one rule that she was not supposed to' He was the bad boy with tattoos. She was the good girl with glasses, and she was his. — When Julianne Winters decides to move to the dormitory of the reputed University, she has everything planned so that she can complete her graduation and leave the place. But her plan is quick to catch fire from the moment the eyes of Roman Moltenore from senior year lands on her. And his appearance screams nothing but TROUBLE. "What rules?" Julianne asked with a frown as she read through the page. She was sure she hadn't seen any rules of the campus mentioned on their website. # 4. No using cell phones. # 12. Students should not roam outside the campus after eleven in the night. The further she read, the more bizarre it turned out to be. Her friend turned the page and then pointed at the last rule # 29. Listen to Roman Moltenore. "This is made up. Look, the last one is even written in pencil." Julianne couldn't believe that her friend from the next dorm thought she would fall for it. "And no phone?" "It is important you abide by all the rules. Especially number twenty nine," said the girl in a serious tone. "Remember not to get involved with Roman. If you happened to see him, run in the other direction. There is a reason why it is written down here." With the rules of the campus, she resorts to sending handwritten letters to her uncle. But who knew it would end up in someone else’s hand!
