To choose a job and ambition over love is something Gus Atchison might never forgive. When his boyfriend, Seb Paddington, decides to move to New York and leave their relationship behind, Gus is heartbroken. But two months later, Seb shows up and tries to get close again. Chapter 15

“You’re the only one who does this to me, and I want something like what my parents have someday. Yes, sometimes work will come first, but I want to be with someone who understands that and will forgive it when necessary. It’s who I am. I will be good to you, Gus, I promise. I wantyou to call me on my shit. You’re the only one who can.”

We stared at each other a minute or two, letting the significance of the moment sink in. When it got to be too much to bear, I climbed into his lap and cupped his face in my hands to kiss the life out of him. We’d come a long way, Seb and I, and maybe this time, we could get our act together, now that we were being totally honest with each other.

He moaned, and I nipped at his chin before grabbing his hair and yanking back his head to suck on his Adam’s apple. Mmm, tasty. I pulled back a little to pull his shirt over his head so I could have access to all that warm skin.
