System: Supreme NPC

A previous Senior Developer’s consciousness accidentally enters the virtual game he helps developing after he was forced to retire due to health issues. Unfortunately, he can only choose the job available to him. SNPC or Special Non-Player Character. In a world filled with terror, different creatures roaming the world, and different types of players with powerful backgrounds, as NPC, will he compete with them or blend in completely with actual NPCs? --- I created a discord channel so we can freely exchange thoughts and pointers about anything regarding the book. Attributes and Base Points

Morning came.

Birds are chirping outside the Midnight Inn. The street is bustling with NPCs and Players that are busy doing their work.

Merchants are busy in the Market trying to coax NPCs and Heroes to buy their wares and services.

The Players are having conversations with each other while some are trying to trigger quests from NPCs.

The NPCs are quite annoyed but respectfully turn away the heroes.

In this lively street not far away from Midnight Inn, the sunbeam that penetrated the glass window of the room which is warmly grazing to one particular NPC, and the birds chirping prompted Gerard to slowly open his eyes.

Gerard slowly put his arms sideways to stretch but his left-hand falls to a plump round thing that is soft to a touch and softly squishes it a couple of times.

"Ara?"

Gerard froze in that instant when he heard a familiar and womanly sweet voice. He then slowly turns his head to the source of the voice where the plump round thing he felt is located.

Gerard almost gasped in the air when his gaze fell on Dina! The school teacher and daughter of Mel!

[NPC: Dina]

Title: School Teacher

Level: 18

She was greeted by a beautiful face with unblemished cheeks, and eyes closed, and although her lips form a smile, a terrifying aura is slowly leaking from her body.

Gerard was surprised. Not because of how terrifying the aura is but because he was surprised because he can feel an aura!

Aura was the term when an NPC starts leaking mana from its body. And Mana is the same as the MP of Players.

NPCs and Players might differ in calling those that were used to activate one's skill but the process of using the Mana or MP is the same. If NPCs are leaking their aura or Mana to use for intimidation or to cast a skill, so all the Players.

Dina halted when they heard the door open while Gerard woke up from being in a dazed state and retracted his hand.

"What's the matter here? I felt your aura leaking from your body. Is everything fine?"

Mel the one who forcibly enters the room without knocking quickly inquired about her daughter, Dina.

The latter quickly responded. "Father! You should knock on the door first. Don't do it again okay? Anyway, everything is fine. I just tried to leak my aura for Payne to wake up which he did."

Then Dina turn her face to Payne who found his throat was blocked by something, rendering him speechless.

Fortunately for him, Mel seems to believe her and just nods his head.

"Okay, since he wakes up. Help me prepare the breakfast."

"Okay!" Dina responded in flamboyant way.

The two follow her by their gaze and when the two gentlemen are the only ones left in the room, Mel snorted.

"Brat. I can feel it, your mana. Don't play dumb. You already recovered so bring your ass down in the kitchen and help up prepare the breakfast for Count Alvis."

Gerard was not surprised, after all, he saw last night the proof of him being the same as Player.

But he was slightly confused as to why his Base Points are riddled with question marks.

[Base Points]

Base HP: ???

Base MP: ???

Base SP: ???

Base Damage: ???

But before he can contemplate, Mel snorted again. This time with irritation.

"If you won't get your ass from that bed, I will throw you from the window."

Hearing him say that Gerard quickly rose up from the bed and fix the blanket quickly.

Then the two went downstairs.

On the way to the Kitchen, Gerard saw no Players or NPCs dining in the restaurant which is expected since the Count is currently boarding or staying in this Inn.

For sure, Mel made an arrangement for the current border to switch to other Inns.

That was when he heard Mel ask him another question.

"Brat, how did you unleash your innate potential?"

Huh?

Gerard almost replied but instead of answering the question, he throw him a question.

"Master, what do you mean?"

Mel just looks at him and continues walking. But before they enter the Kitchen, Mel explains things to him.

"Innate Potential. This is what we used for normal people who have the potential to practice the way of the sword and magic. When we say the way of the sword and magic, it means, being a swordsman, knight, guardian, mage, and healer. Or what the heroes called Job Class."

"Not all humans are born with Innate Potential, that was why the population is divided into two, those who can wield mana and those who cannot. Those who can wield mana can learn the way of the sword and magic while the latter live their life as normal citizens."

"But your situation is peculiar. The first time I saw you enter this Inn, I already knew you have Innate Potential but were just shackled for unknown reasons. Perhaps, you are cursed rendering you failed to unleash your innate potential."

Then Mel paused for a bit and scrutinize him with a serious expression.

"One thing for sure, after you attack the monster yesterday, it trigger something in your body that unshackled your innate potential, though halfway only."

Gerard didn't know what to say. The Supreme System is really cunning and saves him from explaining things to others who have sharp senses like Mel and Count Alvis.

When his attack reached the Special Monster yesterday, his body froze and he felt pained. Perhaps the oddities in his body made Mel think his body is on the way to unshackling his innate potential.

Deep in his heart, Gerard praised and thanked the Supreme System for having his body freeze during the process of Self-Preservation.

Then the two proceed to enter the Kitchen and saw Dina currently putting all together the ingredients.

It is already 7 AM in the morning and yet the father and daughter duo just now preparing breakfast.

Gerard expected it though. Those 1-hour fights with Town Chief Rook really took a toll on the Count. He didn't know how a level 10 NPC can go toe to toe with Elite NPC in a prolonged battle. Made the Count to still sleep in his bed in the late hours of the morning.

So while helping the two, Gerard asked Mel what happened between Town Chief Rook and the Count.

The latter told him everything from what he saw until the end of the battle.

Gerard was quite surprised when he heard about the Mandrake Potion. He knows that potion but he didn't know that this potion will be revealed in this starting phase of the game. It was supposed to be revealed in West Town when Kurosawa left the Town.

How fast does the story move forward?

Thinking this made him unsettled.

He promised to learn more and solve this crazy and fast movement of events.

After preparing the first three dishes, Gerard was asked to wake up the Count while Dina is preparing the dishes on the table while Mel continue to cook the rest of the dishes.

Gerard heed the order and while he was at it, he navigate his System Menu Interface.

Once his System Menu Interface appeared, a message was prompted. He quickly ticks it and reads it.

[Reminding the Host to pick his Main Job Class so the Supreme System can start fixing your Attributes and Base Points based on the current level of Supreme System.]

Gerard quickly navigates his information tab.

[NPC: Payne Blanc]

[Tier 0 Level 3 ???]

[Title: ???]

[Supreme System Menu Interface]

[Tier 0 Level 2]

Experience: 40%

HP: ??? Undetermined

MP: ??? Undetermined

SP: ??? Undetermined

[Subclasses Job]

Apprentice Blacksmith: 0/20 (Can be leveled up using Mastery Points)

Apprentice Chef: 0/20 (Can be leveled up using Mastery Points)

Inside his mind, he asked the Supreme System how he can choose to pick his Main Job Class.

[Tick your name in the Information Tab and a series of Tab will appear for you to choose from.]

Gerard quickly tick his name and just what he expected, a new tab was prompted which was the same as the tab he was shown when he first logged in.

But this time, all the characters are not dimmed. It is now available for him to choose from!

Gerard tried to tick the information tab of Swordsman first. But before he was directed to the said tab, another tab was prompted giving him unbelief surprise.

[As additional perks, the Supreme System Server decided to provide you additional information regarding all the Main Job Classes that were not available to all players. To navigate the said information, tick on the name of the Main Sub Class, and another tab will appear. You can also tick the Attributes and Base Points first to prepare you for choosing your Main Job Class. Please exercise being decisive in choosing the Main Job Class because there's no going back.]

Gerard smiles and thanks the Supreme System once again. He's not sure but he felt or heard in his mind the Supreme System reply "Welcome."

He just shrugged his shoulder and continue.

He heeds the advice of the Supreme System and ticks the Attributes and Base Points.

[Attributes and Base Points Multiplier]

Note: HP, MP, and SP or Base Points of all job classes are all based during Level 1, hence the Attributes of all job classes do not affect their Base Points at Level 1. The increase in base points will only commence once the Players reached Level 2.

+5 Skill Points per Level

Defense – A personal attribute that can block a portion or 30% damage depending on the Defense Mastery (Full Damage of Attacker x 30% Base Defense = Damage Inflicted). Additional 0.05% for every additional point in defense for all job classes.

1 Defense = 30% Block Damage

2 Defense = 30.05% Block Damage

...…

21 Defense = 31% Block Damage

Agility – A personal attribute that can enhance movement and attack speed + 5% Bonus Additional Damage of Base Damage per Additional Agility for all job classes.

Base Damage + Additional Damage per Level x Agility Multiplier = Bonus Additional Damage (Roundoff)

Strength – A personal attribute that can enhance one's vitality. +100% Bonus Additional HP of Base HP per Additional Strength for all job classes.

Base HP + Additional HP per Level x Strength Multiplier = Bonus HP (Roundoff)

Intelligence – A personal attribute that can enhance one's Mana Points or MP. +5% Bonus Additional MP of Base MP per additional Intelligence for all job classes.

Base MP + Additional MP per Level x Intelligence Multiplier = Bonus HP (Roundoff)

As usual, this is to be expected. Gerard was able to refresh his knowledge about the attributes of Main Job Classes. Since he was only given a choice of SNPC, this tab was not shown to him when he first logged in.

Main Job Classes are grouped into three main Attributes. The Agility type, Strength Type, and Intelligence Type.

The Base Points of one character will depend on the one's Attributes.

Just like before, Attributes can earn through Level Ascension or rewards in the quests.

If his computation is correct if the Player didn't use Mastery Points to increase their Attributes and upon reaching Level 90, this is how base attributes go per Attribute Types.

For Agility Type;

Base Defense: 1 (+90)

Base Agility: 3 (+267)

Base Strength: 1 (+90)

Base Intelligence: 1 (+90)

And if you add the result of the multiplier to the Base Points, here is how it goes.

[Base Points]

Base HP: 1900 (+3800)

Base MP: 990 (+1040)

Base SP: 100 (+445)

Base Damage: 905 (+1041)

But then again, these will change if the player starts wearing equipment and items that can drastically increase the Base Points.

Hi! The Attributes will be one of my basis how low and high the damage can be inflicted to enemy.

I will fix all the previous base points in previous chapters. Thank you!
