Where It Ends

"I wonder if I would be able to do it now." Dark purplish energy was beginning to gather before his open palms as a wicked smile appeared on his face.

The beast felt a foreboding sense of danger as it struggled to rise from the ground.

The energy gathering before Kael's palms had grown large akin to the size of a basketball. "Die!" He muttered softly, releasing the ball of energy, which slammed into the beast.

The area was lit up by the explosion, with the ground splitting just from the amount of energy. Kael's watched calmly as the explosion died down, revealing a mangled body. Surprisingly, the beast was still alive, barely holding on to life.

ROOOOAR

A pain filled roar echoed across the area, with the beast crashing to the ground. "No, something is wrong," Kael frowned as he instantly appeared before the beast. His clenched fists were getting covered in dark energy once more as he struck down.

Unfortunately, he was too late as a dark cocoon of energy wrapped around the beast blocking the attack. The injuries over the beast body healed in a blink of an eye as it slowly rose from the ground.

"Another unique skill, huh?" He thought as he eyed the beast, not the least bothered. "I just have to beat you down again, right?" He muttered, clenching his fist.

The beast left eye was covered in a dark swirling mists as its form went through transformation. Its once large size was now reduced to two metres with the markings on its fur emitting a dark glow. The dark flames slowly spread across its body as it prepared for the final clash.

Kael could feel his body flowing with energy and at the same time slowly breaking from the raw and destructive energy of the abyss. Clearly, his body wasn't yet strong enough to handle the power of the Abyss. "I need to end this quickly," he thought as he charged forward.

The beast also charged forward his speed twice the former. It swung its claw right at the incoming fist, leading to an eruption of energy, which travelled across the area. None had been pushed back as both had evenly matched each other strength.

Kael swung his open palm, resulting in a large force of energy, which sent the beast tumbling backwards. With the abyssal energy, his gravity powers had also become stronger.

Controlling the gravity around him, he charged forward, throwing out punches rapidly. The beast trying to block felt the great strength in each punch as its claws began to crack. The beast also felt a force pulling its body down anytime it got close to Kael.

Kael's form materialised at different areas, striking the beast in all parts of its body. The fight was clearly one-sided as the beast was barely able to put up a fight. Pulling his open palm to himself, the beast felt a force dragging it right towards a fist, which was covered in a dark glow.

BOOOOM!

The ground shook from the intense clash with a cloud of dust rising. A figure broke through the dense dust skyrocketing backwards. Kael appeared above the flying beast and clenching both fists together struck down, causing the beast to plummet into the ground.

A large crater was formed with the beast barely able to move. Its body was filled with injuries, which its healing couldn't keep up with again.

ROOOOAR

A fierce roar escaped the beast mouth as both eyes were getting filled with the strange dark mist. Its body was getting covered in a swirling dark mist as it rose from the ground.

"Damn! Why don't you just stay down!" Kael exclaimed as he appeared before the beast kicking with his might.

BOOOOM!

The ground further sinked inside as the cloud of dust dispelled just from the force of their clash. Kael leg was tightly clenched by the beast. Letting out a roar, it slammed him into the ground and then flung him across the sky. Leaping high, the beast struck with its blazing claws, but its attack had struck the empty air.

"Not bad!" Kael voice echoed behind the beast's ear as he grabbed one of its arms and then kicked with his strength. The beast body shot across the vast expanse bouncing across the hard ground. A trail of blood was left behind as the beast finally crashed into a mountain boring a hole.

Appearing before the beast, kael struck its head, releasing fist after fist. The mountain was beginning to crack as Kael continued in his assault. Flames began to wrap around the beast body before exploding dealing the last straw, which caused the mountain to crumble.

Kael figure hovered above his eyes locked onto his prey. The beast had finally accepted defeat, deciding to escape. "That's bad now, isn't it?" Kael muttered, his voice entering into the ears of the beast.

SPLATT!

The beast staggered to the ground, feeling a human sized fist pierced through its back. "Was this how you felt when you pierced my heart?" Twisting his hand, his fist dug through the flesh hodling onto something.

"Tell me... can you live without a heart?"

RIIIIP!

The sound of something forcely being ripped out echoed across the area as blood spurted from the mouth of the beast. Kael now held onto a large organ - the beast's heart, as he watched the beast staggered forward.

He slowly clenched tightly, causing the heart to explode into bits of flesh, with dark blood splashing across his face. His tongue unconsciously stretched out of his mouth as he licked the blood with a large smile.

Tsk.

"Too bad for it to end now. It was truly fun playing with you." Kael palms were stretched out towards the beast, which had yet to fall. Abyssal energy gathered before his palms and was released as a beam that covered the beast.

The beast was completely wiped off, and not even his remains was seen as the energy died down. Kael, at the same time, collapsed on the ground, completely exhausted. He quickly handed control back to his normal heart.

"Ugh," he groaned, clutching his chest, which sent pain over his body. He truly had fought his first real battle and had survived. He knew this was just the beginning of his journey as he struggled back to his feet.

He had learnt a lot from the battle and even discovered a disturbing fact about his powers. "The abyssal power was truly dangerous," he thought as he surveyed the aftermath of their battle. Terrain destroyed, craters all over the ground with the remains of unfortunate beast's which had got caught in the battle.

"Yeah, I guess we still have a long way to go together," Kael muttered, staring at the distant horizon.
