"Great! All that for making me go against my plan," Kael muttered with a frown.
[You should be happy you got this. You don't know how important this is. It's gonna help you a lot in the future]
"Help me?" Tsk. "Whatever. Well, I think it's time I carry on with escaping from here. It's been a nice stay, but I have so much to do."
Ding!
"What again?!" Kael groaned, staring at the messages floating before him.

"Oh, I forgot about that," Kael muttered, swiping the screen.

"Let me rest for a little while, then I'll see how to complete the second quest."

In one of the rooms within the building, Lucius held onto a device that displayed a figure who appeared to be talking to him.
"Martin was defeated and got replaced?" A voice repeated from the device.
"Yes, Master. I don't have any idea who he is, and he's being quite secretive." Lucius said, his usual arrogance was nowhere to be seen as he appeared extremely fearful to the figure.
"What did you say his name was?" The figure asked.
"Kael, just Kael, he announced during the duel, Master."
"Alright, I'll see if I can get anything about him. Just focus on the task ahead and ensure you win the competition.:
"Yes, Master. I won't fail you." The figure faded away as Lucius collapsed on his bed with beads of sweat over his face. "Curse my luck for being chosen to carry out this mission."

In a dark room, lit up by various candles, an altar could be seen at the centre of the room with a little image of a man clad in armour with various weapons strapped across his back, placed at the centre of the candles. Before the altar, a figure was on her knees mumbling a few words.
"Hear me, Ares, the war god, I, Otrera, your humble servant come before you seeking your guidance... All I want is for you to guide me in the plan I'm about to carry out."
Sigh~
"Still no connection. It's been decided then," Queen Otrera muttered, rising from the ground. "I'll do what will ensure my kingdom's safety." Slowly walking out of the room, she took one more glance at the flickering candles before shutting the door.
A few minutes passed before a change occurred in the room. The candle flames surged wildly all of a sudden before going all out.

"Arkon! Your quest has become a threat to us, the gods of the realm. Stop now and we might forgive you for your past sins."
"Stop now? When I'm already this close to achieving what I want? No, you don't understand. You don't understand at all! This is a path I must face and complete... a path to perfection! Crossing the threshold of a god and taking control of this dormant power within me!"
In the middle of a large field with mountains across the terrain. A figure with long silver hair and deep dark eyes was surrounded by a group of figures with their weapons held against him.
"Then we have no choice but to put an end to your madness!" The leader of the group, a figure with an overbearing presence, cladded in a long white robe which highlighted his long grey hair and golden brown eyes said with loath. He was holding his signature weapon signifying his presence and dominance - The lightning bolt.
"I, Zeus, shall put an end to you and protect the lives of the people!"
A great battle ensued between the gods and the figure. Various Olympian gods aided Zeus in his quest to slay the being trying to destroy the realm. The figure wasn't alone as he had help from his people and even other races serving under them.
Various gods clashed, the ground was soaked in blood, even the known Monkey King sided with the gods in bringing down Arkon.
Mountains were destroyed, oceans evaporated, and lava exploded due to the deep craters formed. The battle was a hard one, one the gods gave their all. Finally, it was over, though most of the gods had perished, their death wasn't in vain.
They had finally defeated the figure companions leaving him left to continue the battle. Eventually he too was overwhelmed and fell to his knees, in front of the gods who would later be known as the twelve pantheon gods of olympus.
"This is the end for you, Arkon." Zeus said, raising his bolt towards the sky. "As the king of the gods! I thereby sentence you and your race imprisonment in the Abyss!"
"Hahaha, you think that would stop me? Stop us?" Arkon said with a large smile. "I shall rise again and woe to that day when we shall clash once again."
Zeus stretched out his hands, which released a soft glow with a golden liquid flowing out of his fingertips. "Follow me," he said to the others, who did the same. The droplet of golden blood slowly mixed together, forming a large sphere that entered Arkon's head.
"You'll be the last of your kind to hold this kind of power. Also, even if you ever get the chance to reincarnate after death, you'll be cursed forever!" Raising his bolt, he stabbed it deep into his chest with the rumbling of thunder above signifying the curse.
The beings left in the world were captured and sent to the abyss along with the dying Arkon. The world, which was once filled with life, had turned into a barren land never to become whole again.
"Damn you all! I'll be back! I'll get rid of all of you even if it means destroying the whole universe."

Kael, who was currently lying on the bed, was covered in a dark aura with beads of sweat on his face. He suddenly jolts up with his eyes emitting a fierce dark glow that seems to pierce through the darkness.
The glow soon resided, leaving a confused Kael. "A nightmare?" He thought, scratching his head. Looking at his hands, he discovered it was covered in blood. "How?" It appeared he had clenched his fist so tight, injuring himself.
"That wasn't just a dream, right, system?" Kael muttered with a thoughtful expression.
[That I can't say much about for now. Your current strength is low for you to know about such details. It is advised that the host grows stronger to access such information]
"Grow stronger, huh? Well, that was my number one goal before. I'll become strong and crush those cocky gods." He muttered the last part unknowingly to himself.
[Sigh. He's assimilating with the body far quicker than I thought. I think things won't remain the same for long...]
These were the system's thoughts as Kael slept off once again.
