Chapter 48: Learning more about my clan capabilities

"Host there are four roles in your clan, first is the Wendigo Shaman as you know the Wendigo Shaman is the strongest and final stage of the Wendigo species. Usually, potential wendigo shamans will have a mana pool from their early stages while normal Wendigo would not. You can say that a wendigo Shaman is the leader of any wendigo tribe" The system became quiet for a few minutes.

"Go on" Dyllis gestures for the Ai to continue, the Ai took in a deep breath. "The second role in your clan is elite wendigos, they have the potential to be a wendigo Shaman but will only gain their mana pool in their later stages. These elite wendigos will also be able to spread the Wendigo fever virus once given the order to split off from the main wendigo branch. Elite wendigos are only slightly weaker than their leader" The system explained.

Dyllis nodded understanding as no questions had popped up yet. The system saw this and continue "The third role is special Wendigo's. These wen

digoes aren't bound to one class, They can specialize in any chosen class besides mage classes. The reason for this is because they don't have a mana pool at all. They have normal shapeshifting capabilities but they will take a form that's most suited for their class" The system took a break hoping that with its limited word usage that their explanation was quite clear.

"The final role is just the normal Wendigo's who don't have any special powers, they are just extremely strong and cunning. You can think of them as foot soldiers, just like all other Wendigo's they can shapeshift and mimic. They are the weakest of the clan but they can gain potential to be special Wendigo's or even an elite wendigo if the right conditions are met" The system finished explaining as they got up and walked away leaving Dyllis with her thoughts.

Dyllis pour herself some tea and drink quietly as she thought "System how do I check if they have potential?" She called out suddenly, its voice appeared out of nowhere as it replied "Upgrade into the next stage" Dyllis face turn flabbergasted at the reply as she felt an oncoming headache.

Letting out a sigh "I'll work harder before you put me into force slumber" Dyllis mumbled to herself "system warn me an hour before you put me to sleep" she ordered, as a ding sound rang out "affirmative" it replied as a window pop up.

'Host will now be informed an hour before schedule slumber for upgrade'

Dyllis smiled meekly as she chilled out "System I have a question" she spoke slowly "What is it host?" she replied. Dyllis sketch the back of her head "How many Wendigo systems are out there?" she asks curiously, the system remained quiet for some time "Host does not have the authority to ask such a high maintenance question. If the host wants to know more upgrade into the next stage of the Wendigo" it spoke plainly.

Dyllis Face controlled into one of disappointment "At least I tried" she mumbled to herself, then the room before her faded away from her version as she woke up on a comfy single bed. She lazily glances around the room feeling something amiss.

'Ding!'

A window popped open in front of her eyes as she read the content of the message.

Main quest

Upgrade into a common grade Wendigo!

Rewards: 5,000 system points! Scroll of strength, pendent of darkness

Dyllis's eyes widen at the rewards "wow so generous" she gasps in surprise, Dyllis's eyes narrow towards the scroll of strength and the pendent of darkness. "System can you tell me what does the scroll of strength does?" she spoke in a hopeful voice as a few minutes passed by. A black transparent window pop up showing white words.

Scroll of strength: A twenty km wide circle will give all allies a temporary boost in strength, all allies ' strength will be double while they are inside the circle. The circle of strength lasts one hour, used it wisely host.

"How useful, I know exactly what I am gonna used this for" she mumbled off, she got off of the bed and took out a pair of clothing. It is a red short sleeve t-shirt and red cargo pants, as if she got blood on her clothing it would be harder to spot. Looking into her inventory she smiled gravely "looks like I am gonna have to buy some new clothing again" as she spoke to herself, Dyllis smoothly got the dress.

She picked up the peppermint oil jar and place it in her inventory as she began to leave, looking around the bedroom As that feeling of unease kept bothering her. She smelled the air a few times not finding any trance of scent besides her own "must be nothing" she mumbled again as she exited the room and headed towards the guild main floor.

She made her way to the receptionist to sell her goods as the previous day before she was in dire need of rest, the lineup was short as she finally came to the front. "Oh, your back? You have been gone quite a while" the beast human receptionist spoke thoughtlessly "I got caught up in some things, I have got that multibear coat though and a few other things that I wanted to sell" Dyllis smiled nervously as she spoke.

She brought out the multibear coat of fur and place it on the table, he raised an eyebrow "was there only one multibear?" he questioned, Dyllis nodded solemnly "but there were other types of Bear species living with it. I had to kill all of those bears just to get this one to come out. I think it had some mind control over the other bears" Dyllis explained the situation she had a face.

The beast human furrow his brows as a look of discomfort appeared "If what you are saying is true, I will need to put up an urgent quest for later just in case another event happens like that again" He with worry before changing the topic "Okay for completing the quest you get the following rewards 2 gold coins and please past me your adventure card" he spoke fluently.

Dyllis did as told as she took the two gold coins and place them in her coin pouch which automatically transfers into her money bank. After this transaction he spoke again "Ma'am please place your desired items to sell on the counter" Dyllis had a weird look on her face as she moved back by ten feet before taking all of the caresses out from her Saturn storage necklace, everyone around her looked towards the bear corpses in surprised as they took up a good majority of space as they were stacked up high on top of each other.

"ma'am do you want anything from these bears?" the receptionist asks politely, Dyllis nodded her head "I want their bones" a slight smile appeared on her face as plenty of thoughts rampage throughout her mind "Alright ma'am I will be moving them to the backroom to appraise the quality of every bear" He kept a poker face on as he had to deal with this professionally, Dyllis curtly nodded.

The receptionist ring glowed as all of the many bear corpses disappeared "Actually before you go I got some more monster corpses" Dyllis spoke before the beast human could turn around "come with me to the back and place your merchandise in there for further appraisal" he spoke as he continued walking. Dyllis did as she was told and quickly left the back room to go search for another quest.

Taking her time browsing a group of people surrounded her "Hey newbie want to join us?" a high pitch feminine voice spoke, turning around to look at the owner of the voice she came face to face with a harpy woman, feathers covered her whole neck and around her face. She had sharp predatory eyes, big and wide which made Dyllis unnerved by her stare. She had brownish-white wings producing from her back forming a heart shape behind her.

"Sure" Dyllis agreed as she looked around the group, variety of beast human women in their mid-twenties were all fighters class, there was only one archer and that was the harpy-looking woman whose eyes were similar to an owl.

The owl beast human woman smiled widen "That's great, we needed a mage" she stated as she looked at the Dyllis's lips twitch slightly "How did you know that?" Dyllis questions as she furrows her brows "Well you have a large amount of mana coming off of you. Usually, only mages have a large abundance of mana flowing

off of them" She spoke nonogalty as if it was normal to see mana.

Her lips curve into an 'o' "So it is a natural skill of your species or did you attain it somehow?" being curious she asks. The harpy owl woman just nodded her head as they left the guild with Dyllis. A black transparent screen popped up.
