The following week, Lin Yun spent his time at the science academy giving lectures about his programming languages, Code Weaver, and AES. He also took this chance to learn the current level of industrial technology.
As Lin Yun had expected, CNC machines were at a fairly early stage of development. They could produce general precision products but not those requiring extremely high precision.
Lin Yun saw another industry he could potentially enter. He planned to move into heavy industry in the near future.
During this time, Lin Yun didn't forget to put QuickBooks and Plant vs. Zombies on Sky.com. While sales were understandably low, this was not a major concern for him.
"It's finally done." Lin Yun exclaimed, letting out a sigh of relief as he sat before his computer. He had finally completed his Cloud Browser. After a full day of rigorous testing, he was ready to release it to the world.
With a click, the Cloud Browser opened. A minimalist, light blue interface materialized on the screen, featuring a small cloud icon in the top left corner. Its design was refreshingly simple yet elegant.
Without further ado, Lin Yun uploaded the Cloud Browser to Sky.com and initiated a bot script to promote it. Soon, advertisements for the browser began appearing on various websites.
Lin Yun also created a forum thread introducing the Cloud Browser. Upon downloading and installing it, users would automatically receive packages for new programming languages like JavaScript and CSS.
Having completed these tasks, Lin Yun stretched languidly. It was his last day at the academy, and he would return home with his sister that evening. He rose and began packing his belongings.
An hour later, Du Jing approached. "Little Yun," he inquired, unable to contain his curiosity, "how did you develop such an exceptional browser?"
Earlier, Du Jing had been alerted by a subordinate about the Cloud Browser. After a brief trial, he was captivated by its smooth performance and minimalist design. Its RAM usage was remarkably low, effortlessly handling a hundred open tabs.
Most importantly, it lacked the intrusive ads and toolbars that plagued Megasoft Internet Discoverer. Du Jing also noted the Cloud Browser's seamless resolution adjustment across websites, a truly revolutionary feature.
"I was annoyed by the backwardness of Internet Discoverer and came up with it," Lin Yun replied with a smile.
The current state of Internet Discoverer in this world mirrored that of Internet Explorer back on Earth. Pop-ups, toolbars, and intrusive ads were rampant, often inadvertently installed by unsuspecting users.
Du Jing took a deep look at Lin Yun for a while and let out a sigh. "I really don't know what kind of brain you have to come up with such a world-breaking idea."
"You've overpraised me, Uncle Du," Lin Yun shook his head. "I'm not being overly modest here. Sooner or later, someone would have eventually come up with it. I just did it first."
Du Jing smiled. "I've already informed our dean. He promises to promote it nationwide."
Lin Yun's eyes lit up. He quickly said, "Thank you, Uncle Du. Please send my gratitude to the dean."
"Your browser is destined for widespread adoption," Du Jing assured him. "There's no comparable browser available in the current market. Even without promotion, it will undoubtedly become popular." He paused, then added, "By the way, the education ministry has approved your books. Take a look."
He handed Lin Yun a stack of documents.
Looking at the contents, Lin Yun became ecstatic. He didn't expect the education ministry to personally endorse his books, incorporating them into the official curriculum nationwide.
Furthermore, the official publishing house would take care of publishing for him, which included the overseas market, and the profits would be divided 70/30. Lin Yun would get 70% of the net profit. It was definitely the best deal he could get.
Without hesitation, Lin Yun picked up a pen and signed the contract directly before handing the contracts back to Du Jing.
"Thank you again, Uncle Du. This helps me a lot," Lin Yun said gratefully. This saved him a lot of time, as he didn't have to go through the publishing process himself.
Du Jing took the contracts and said, "Honestly, I want to tie your legs here. With you, our country's information technology sector would definitely take off."
Lin Yun smiled and said nothing. He had stated his stance many times. No matter what kind of offer the academy gave him, he wouldn't change his mind.
Du Jing let out a sigh of regret and said, "Let's go. I will send you out."
"All right," Lin Yun nodded and left with his luggage.

After leaving the science academy, Lin Yun hailed a taxi and headed to Capital University to pick up his sister. Then, they headed to the airport.
Four hours later, Lin Yun and Lin Xue arrived at the Sunshine City train station.
"Yun'er, Xue'er," Wang Chulan waved her hand as she saw her children walk out of the train.
"Mom," Lin Xue quickly rushed over and hugged her mother.
"Welcome back," Wang Chulan patted her daughter's back lovingly.
Lin Yun walked over with the luggage and looked at Lin Canghai. "Let's go, Dad. I'm hungry."
"All right," Lin Canghai smiled and took one of the suitcases from his son.
The family of four headed to the parking lot and hopped into their mini-truck. Naturally, Lin Yun and Lin Xue were sitting in the cargo bed.
"I'm thinking of buying a car for our parents. Do you have any suggestions, Sister?" Lin Yun asked as he enjoyed the breeze.
"Do you have enough money for the company?" Lin Xue asked with concern.
"I haven't told you this." Lin Yun began to tell his sister about the books. Once they were published, a huge amount of money would steadily flow into his pocket.
"That's amazing," Lin Xue said, proud of her younger brother. "Maybe we can ask our parents. Let them choose."
"All right," Lin Yun nodded and looked at the peaceful scenery along the way.
