V.2 Chapter 11

The next day, Yukan decided to go look for the jonin he had to kill and gather information on them himself.

In any case, they could not cause any danger to Yukan, but he still had to pass his time today and tomorrow. He would immediately stop looking for them in case he found something more interesting.

After breakfast, Minato left the house hurriedly. Yukan looked at him suspiciously but let him go.

"Where does he go so quickly? This happens every day." Aayu said, looking at Minato.

"I don't know. Want me to spy on him? He won't be able to detect me no matter what."

"No, it is alright, leave him. Tell me about yourself. How is my daught- I mean, Kushina?" Aayu asked.

"She gets out of her house very little now but she is fine otherwise," Yukan answered.

Yukan and Kushina's relationship was not something unknown to Aayu. She had discovered about the two a little after they started dating.

"It's sad for her to get targeted. You better protect her." Aayu said as she sat beside Yukan.

"I know. I will, always." Yukan answered.

Yukan got up and started washing the dishes. Aayu's condition had improved a lot but Yukan did not want to give her a lot of work.

As he was washing, Aayu came beside him and said," Hey, it was your birthday last month but we did not go to the place we went last time. Let's go there tomorrow if you have time, it will help you relax."

Yukan looked at her. She had a sad expression on her face. The expression made Yukan have a bad feeling.

"I am free tomorrow. Ah, I have to go on a mission the day after tomorrow, it is easy but it will take around 2-3 weeks to complete it." Yukan told Aayu.

Aayu nodded and then she started to wipe the washed dishes with a dry cloth.

Yukan soon finished what he was doing and then left the house. He left a shadow clone home just in case something happened. By now, he had a lot of chakra, though it had no use to him other than being used to infuse in his sword and seals.

He then took out a piece of paper from his pocket and said," Yuichi Takaki, Maita Masato, Matsuura Katsuro, Harada Masaki, Natsuko Takeda. These are the five people I have to kill. Now, I have to find them." Yukan said and set out to find them.

He got a photo of the five from ANBU headquarters. Not anyone can go and get the photos of other ninjas easily, this was a perk of being an ANBU squad captain.

When he got the photos, he found out that there were two females.

From the information he had, the four of them were going to do a C-Rank mission today. It was to kill a few bandits who set up their base near Konoha.

"4 jonin for some plain bandit killing? Let's just follow them." Yukan said and then disappeared using the body-flicker technique.

He then appeared in front of the main gate. The eternal gatekeepers were not there, currently, their predecessors sat there. The ones sitting there looked very similar to the gatekeepers from the future generation.

'Does it run in the family?' Yukan thought and then went to register his name.

When he was writing, he saw the names of the four he wanted to follow right above his.

He quickly left and ran in the direction of where the four were headed.

-In Konoha-

Minato currently sat in a bush, as if waiting for something or someone.

In front of him was a flower shop and inside it stood Kiyome.

'She looks good today too' Minato thought and got up from where he was and tried to remove the leaves that got on his clothes.

He straightened his clothes and proceeded to enter the flower shop.

When he entered, he looked around. After he was sure that no one else was around, he went to Kiyome.

"Hey Kiyome, I am here." He said.

"Minato? Did I not tell you yesterday that grandpa would be at the shop today?" Kiyome said as she hurriedly hid Minato behind her.

Her grandpa sat at the counter. Though his eyes were closed, he might open them any second and catch Minato so, Kiyome hid him.

"Yup, I heard you. You said that yesterday he but today and tomorrow..." Minato answered while he continued to get confused and say something no one could understand.

"You idiot, my words were 'Don't come tomorrow, grandpa will be in the shop.' That is what I said when we met yesterday." Kiyome said as she slowly walked towards the gate with Minato still hiding behind her.

"Leave for now. I will come and meet you in the park in 3 hours." She said as she opened the door.

-In an underground area somewhere near the bone forest-

The place where Madara hid currently had giant bones getting out of everywhere. The forest was in a mine which was somehow related to the Otsutsuki ruins. (A/N: No other Otsutsuki other than Kaguya will appear.)

"So, how is the current Uchiha Patriarch doing?" Madara asked. He still sat in front of the ten-tails husk.

He stayed alive till now by continuously absorbing the Ten-Tails chakra.

"It went as expected, Madara-Sama. He is very weak and does not even qualify as a Kage-level ninja of this generation, he won't be able to help us." Zetsu answered.

"What about the one I asked you to keep an eye on?" Madara asked.

"He seems to be talented. Except for a few things, he is a pretty good seedling." Zetsu answered.

"Hmm. Keep an eye on him. I will think about what to do... I don't have a very long time left before the chakra in the ten-tails runs out. Before that happens, everything needs to be in place." Madara said.

'And not much longer for mine to start showing results too. Hehe.' Zetsu thought and giggled in his heart.
