Sword Arts Online: Darkness

What if the creator of Sword Arts Online had controlled Kirito and his friends, turning them into evil, and brought the game into the real world, turning it into a giant game world? Well, this is the situation where our ordinary protagonist Roxas Nietes, or Rohasu Nitama as his player name, had found himself. Being a foreign high school student living in Japan with his friends in a shared house owned by his school would make his life there difficult, but his intelligence on basically anything instead made him prepared and an actionist. He was an ambivert who loved music, art, writing, picture taking, philosophizing, and best of all, making scenarios of all kinds in his mind. So, the day before SAO was brought into the real world, Roxas had unknowingly received a mysterious-looking email from a player named Anko Tachibana, who was a deceased player. That email is a request for help because he, who knew Kirito and his friends before, wants someone to help them, who are now known as the Elite Players, snap from their state of being brainwashed by the game. Roxas accepted it after some thinking, but there’s one condition: he will be Anko’s vessel because Anko is now a spirit after his death in the game. To be free from Anko’s ghostly possession, he needed to complete the task in any way he could. Now that he was Anko’s vessel, what would Roxas do to do this big and seemingly impossible mission? Well, he will use his intelligence, ambivert personality, and scenario-making mindset to do it, plus action. That combination sounds ridiculous and unorthodox, but for him, it will be a good one. So, join him, Anko, and their friends in a now-altered reality fighting monsters and bosses across Aincrad-ridded Japan and getting into the Tower while trying to get Kirito and his friends out of their brainwashed state. But the dark side of Sword Art Online was slowly revealed as Roxas and his friends went deeper and deeper for their mission through their spirit guardians. One of them was the origins of Eugeo and Alice (This was what if Eugeo and Alice were once humans who were killed and were forced to be bots in the games?) Chapter 33 - First Battle between Roxas Nietes and Evil Keita

Third person POV

And then, Roxas' opponent for his second battle in the Tower teleported into the second floor. That person is Evil Keita, one of Kirito's friends, and he was very surprised to see Roxas in person, for he had heard about him from his friends.

"Hello there…" Evil Keita said to Roxas with a smirk while wielding his weapon, "…you must be Roxas, right?"

Roxas and Anko were taken aback by this with some shock, and Anko then went back into Roxas' body.

"Oh, that boy must be your spirit guardian, right?" Evil Keita asked Roxas about Anko while readying his skills with his weapon.

Then, Roxas became serious and tough. "Yeah, that was Anko, my friend and spirit guardian. My name is Roxas Torre Agbayani-Nietes of Iloilo City, the Philippines! My player name is Rohasu Nitama!"

The last sentence of his line was said with a declaratory tone of his voice.

"Oh, a foreigner, eh?" Evil Keita chuckled darkly.

"Yes, I am," Roxas responded back, "and I am proud of my nationality and ethnicity."

"Okay then. Now, shall we begin our round here, shall we?"

Wielding his sword firmly with sheer, authentic bravery, Roxas replied back, "Yes, I am!"

And so, their round on the second floor had begun. Evil Keita held his weapon and lunged at Roxas. "I'll finish you on a whim!" Roxas then dodged his attack and clashed back with his sword. Both sides then struggled to knock each other out.

Anko did his best to help and guide his vessel as much as he could.

"Do you think you would pass this round?" Evil Keita said to Roxas while taunting him.

He tried to push Roxas out, but Roxas, aided by Anko, managed to push him back in response.

Both sides then continued to clash with each other for a couple of minutes.

Roxas, also aided by his Filipino values of determination and persistence, then almost managed to defeat his opponent by disarming him when Evil Keita became smart and stabbed him in the chest.

"Ha! Die!" Evil Keita said to him with an evil smile.

Roxas felt pain but is not dying at all.

As Evil Keita pulled his weapon out, Anko immediately healed Roxas up, and this took aback Evil Keita in disbelief.

"What? How?" Evil Keita couldn't believe his eyes.

Roxas, now no longer feeling any pain, then chuckled with cool confidence.

"Me and Anko-kun are of the same body and had a very strong, unbreakable bond," he said to Evil Keita with his voice and Anko's voice intermixed and intertwined, "so we cannot die."

Evil Keita was shocked to hear his voice was different from last time.

At the same time, back at their shared house, Roxas' friends are now wondering where Roxas went. Shuto tried to contact him via his phone number, but it was futile. Minato, meanwhile, was busy looking at his phone's emails and text messages from anyone who are deceased players in this game, wanting to be in a contract with one of them. Koyuki, meanwhile, became worried for Roxas, showing little signs of her feelings for him.
