Chapter 10: The Guardian
“My first ex-girlfriend was a Leo. She was difficult to get along with! I am a Cancer and I think we were just not a good match. She always wanted to be in control,” Michael, Ivy’s second date had been talking about himself and his exes for the past thirty minutes while they waited at the bar for a table to become available at Welsh’s Grill and Pub.
“Umm, I see!” Ivy answered feeling rather bored and drained from listening to Michael talk the whole time.
“Then came Agatha, who tried to play hard to get with me. She had no idea that Michael can get any woman he wants. In this day and age, she thought it was wise to tell me she wouldn’t sleep with me on our first date. Michael always scores on the first date, baby!” Michael leaned towards Ivy’s barstool and winked as he licked his lips.
Ivy felt repulsed as bile rose in her chest. “Bartender, another drink please!”
