"Dad please I don't want to go," I said begging in tears

After a little while of hugging me, she finally retreated slowly as she used her hands to wipe my tears and trucked a strand of hair behind my ears "I have to go now my darling" she said as she rubbed my cheeks into her hands and looked into my eyes lovingly and said "but always remember to stay strong and always stand up for yourself" she finally as she stood up arranged her dress and started to walk away

What she said made sense I had to stand up for myself, I had to stay strong and defend myself. As I saw their retreating figures something in me snapped

"Is it because you don't love me?" I. asked stopping my dad in his tracks as my stepmom quickly fled the scene

"Why, why do you hate me so much, why are you in a hurry to get rid of me why"

"Tell me dad are you so in a hurry to get rid of me so that I won't remind you of my dead mother's face," I asked with hot tears still streaming down my face.
