Chapter 5

I was confused looking at him, a part of me, terrified, told me to throw him out of the house, while another -another very stupid- was excited. He was still by the door looking at me.

—What are you doing here? —I asked. He shrugged and as if nothing walked and sat on my couch. That literally pissed me off, he pissed me off.

—It's not your house! Get up! —He smiled, but he also listened to me, he didn't seem even embarrassed, he walked up to me and asked me a question I never would have expected.

—Have you ever felt? —I thought that yes, I had felt sadness, and sometimes happiness, not love, but yes other things.

—Yes. —I answered totally sure.

He laughed and sat back on the couch as he looked at me.

—Have you ever really felt? —I didn't want to think that now, I didn't care, evidently I could felt.

—And you? Have you felt? —I asked, accusing him angrily. He shrugged indifferently.

I stared at him, my curiosity was killing me. He got up and went down the hall into every room he saw, in silence.

—Did you follow me home? —I asked him in the meantime.

—Yes. —He replied indifferently as he continued walking around the house without permission.

—You're a stalking psycho! —I yelled

—Thanks, you're bipolar. —I snorted, I even thought I saw him smile.

He hung around for a while, I wondered what I had done to deserve this, he was wearing a black T-shirt and jeans as usual, his hair was disheveled.

After a while he was in front of the door of my room, I was going to stop him from coming in, but he turned around and went back to the living room, I kept looking at him, I really didn't understand him.

—I'm not that stalker. —said—. I'm not going into your room, I was just curious.

I laughed sarcastically

We were quiet for a long time, the silence was not uncomfortable, just quiet, he suddenly broke the peace, as he always did.

—I have to show you something—. I looked at him curiously. Come with me.

We left my house, and we started walking away from the town.

—Where we go? —I asked him, he had never gone to the place we were going, at least not for that way, he did not answer and instead kept walking.

We entered a small forest, it was not a good idea to go ahead with a possible serial killer psychopath, but my legs did not want to stop walking and my mouth did not want to complain to be able to return, there was no choice that continue.

At a certain point he changed direction, there was no more road, only land, trees and darkness, my body began to shake a little, not because of the cold, because of the fear. As a fool I was walking towards a probable death, although technically it could be considered suicide.

Finally, the darkness dissipated. Rays of light began to enter the forest, and we reached an esplanade that was very beautiful, the light green color predominated that had replaced the dark one from before, it smelled of wet earth and if I stayed silent I could even hear the birds chirping.

—We have arrived —He smiled

—Where we are? —I asked for.

—In a shallow, hypocritical place. —I looked at him confused and decided to move on from what he had just said, I repeat, sometimes I did not understand him.

I turned around and came to a tree where I sat, he chose the ground. Shortly after, I pursed my lips, I thought it was time to ask her instead of trying to discover all her mysteries myself.

—What are we doing here, Jackson? —I said in a low voice. He looked at me.

—What happened between you and Tyler yesterday? —He said, crestfallen in a low, soft voice.

—What? What do you care what happened between him and me yesterday!

—I don't care, I'm only doing it for your good. —I laughed sarcastically.

—You don't know me! —I yelled at him—. You don't know what is good or not for me! And even if you knew it, it is not your concern.

—Yes, I do know you and more than you think. —He said aloud, getting up and approaching me—. But I also know Tyler, and I don't trust that boy at all.

—Well, he's a great boy! —I screamed—. And he's much better than you! —He gave me a look that I couldn't decipher, maybe anger, or confusion, maybe he just didn't understand my anger, but mostly it denoted indifference.

—It's not, Alice. —he answered seriously—. Never trust the superficiality of a person. They are all so fake. —Sigh. I did not understand anything.

—He is not superficial, if he were I would know it. —I did not want to continue with the discussion, but he continued

—yes Alice? —He said sarcastically—. Tell me, what do you see in this place?

I was silent, I did not understand his question, I looked around me and saw nothing apart from the green of the trees.

—Why do you think I brought you here?

—I guess it's very pretty. —He laughed sarcastically

He did not answer for a while, perhaps analyzing my answer, although probably more my ignorance or my naivety, I still did not see anything, he looked at me expectantly and perhaps hoping that I would realize by myself that something was wrong, I noticed the trees, some with darker bark than others, in the plants and in the weeds, I finally looked at the sky but continued without seeing anything or anyone. He at the end of a time answered.

—Appearances are deceiving Alice. —He laughed—. You cannot look at the superficial part of what you find, or you will always the people misled you. —I kept thinking trying to find out what he meant, I looked around and although it was hard to see him in the end I had no choice.

I walked slowly towards a tree, Jackson followed me. A large pool of blood appeared behind him, it was liquid, fresh. I got dizzy and opened my eyes like never before, I could also see a red trail going deeper into the forest, I wanted to run, but my legs would not let me.

—There's a killer on the loose, Jones.

Well, for now it seems simple and normal, a killer on the loose after all is not a big deal.

But, this is not only about murder, this is about games.

I like games

PS: it's going to get intense
